High school is out, and you’ve decided not to join the workforce or pursue higher education. After all, you already know everything about the world you need to, and life as an adult can’t be that hard, right? All anyone needs to get by is a few friends and a little street smarts.



Challenge Rules

• Remember, the General Rules apply to all Tournament challenges. Exceptions may be noted below.
• In CAS (no Story Mode), create 1 Young Adult Human Sim (no life state changes allowed). No additions to household for this challenge.
• Move your Sim into an empty lot of your choice. Open the cheats panel and set funds to 0 by opening the cheat box by hitting ctrl + shift + c and then typing in 'testingcheats true' to enable cheats. Then enter 'Money 0' and 'testingcheats off' to turn off cheats. No moving lots or households for this challenge.
• For this challenge, build/buy mode is forbidden. You may not get a job or enroll in college. Odd jobs and Henford-on-Bagley errands are also banned. Chestnut ridge community jobs are also banned.
  
• Using Social Bunny is banned, please disable the app on your Sim's phone as part of your setup.
• Earn as much as you can by any other means while couch surfing with the friends you make along the way. (or venue surfing!)
• This challenge concludes at the end of 1 Sim week (Week 2, Day 1, 8:00 a.m.).
  
  Scoring
  
  Household Funds - At Week 2, Day 1, 8:00 a.m., pause your game and note your household funds.
  
  Friends Multiplier - For every Friend you have at the end of the challenge, add .1 to your base multiplier of 1.0.
  
  Total - Your total score is your Household Funds multiplied by your Friends Multiplier.
  
  Example: You made five friends and have household funds of §3500.  1.5x3500 for a score of 5,250.
  
  
  
  A Few Additional Specifics:
  The team does not want to edit and change the ruleset once this event goes live, but we may have to. If an exploit is brought to our attention or we discover something else, we may ask affected players to redo their effort.

Choose the My Messages tab > Send Message > Send to Group (show membergroups) > Check the Challenge Board Moderator group.
  
  The winner will be announced the Monday following the closing date below. Once the event has closed, everyone is encouraged to discuss how they approached the event, and the winner is expected to do so in detail.

I forgot to add no household additions, thank you. I only recently got the horse expansion, I will add that to the banned content as well.

Correct, only your sim's personal inventory.

So it should be a lot like Pebble Burrow or Bargain Bend rather than Crick Cabana? And apartments would be off limits as well?

Yes, any empty lot with no structures on it.

Vacation lots are allowed, as you are not 'moving in' to them.

My sim, Amara, finished with 94 001 simoleons, and 20 friends for a score of 94001 X (1.0 + (20 X 0.1)) or 94 001 X 3.0 or 282 003.

I had a lot of fun with this one.  It was nice and quick, so I could finish it today.  I haven't had as much free time as I have had in the past lately.  I still read the challenges, even though I have not really been able to participate this year.  I appreciate all the work you guys do to make these, and sometimes I do just for fun runs when the challenges are closed and I have a little bit of time.

I'm sorry I have not had the ability to participate more.

My sim ended up with 201 772 $ and 47 friends.

201 772 x (1+ (0.1x47)) = 201 772 x 5.7 = 1 150 100.4

It was really a quick challenge, and fun!

rather surprised by how this ended up. My sim finished her week with 476,263 simoleons in household funds and 221 friends so with the multiplier of 23.1 the total score is 11,001,675.

BTW is there any quick way of measuring friend numbers? I counted them in the relationships panel (opening their profile where it was unclear if friend or acquaintance) three times to make sure it was correct but there must be an easier way.
