Yes, Amelia is in the Painter career, and is at level 9.

A is for Amelia, Part 3

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
On Freedom Day, the whole family went to the nearby Recreation Center. But they didn't stay long. Amelia followed a bat into the kitchen, where to her surprise, it turned into a human. Or..."Vampire!" she thought. And then she noticed the werewolf glowing red next to it. While she was quite sure that werewolves did not eat babies, at least most of the time, she also knew that you didn't want to get too close to a werewolf that was glowing red. Like this one. Hastily she backed out of the kitchen and they all went home.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
But they built a new deck at the back, and Aarav used the barbecue, so the holiday was a success.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Aarav went to work the next day, sporting his new beret. He enjoys wearing a beret, but there's one slight problem. It doesn't match. Maybe it would look okay in a very dimly lit room, but he does wish that it were violet instead of navy blue. Or even white. White would match his shoes.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
With Aarav at work, Amelia is in charge of child care. It's almost time for Bridget's birthday, and she can't help wondering if she'll ever learn to crawl.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Bridget is still wide awake, and Aarav is still at work, so Amelia tries to stave off sleepiness with a cup of coffee.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Somewhat awake, she tries again to find some food that Bridget likes -- mashed peas? Well, there's always the bottle.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Meanwhile, Bonnie has been entertaining herself. Books don't taste as good as her little sister's toy ring, but you can't have everything.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And Bonnie can always have fun dancing.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Finally, it's time for Bonnie's birthday. Like her father, she has the neat trait.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And like her father, she is very good-looking, even when brushing her teeth.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
She gets a bedroom all to herself (for the time being), furnished in her favorite color, pink.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Her parents have a new bedroom as well. Of course, Bridget gets her own room now that Bonnie has moved upstairs, but that's okay because many of Bonnie's toys (the dollhouse, Bun Bun, the toy box) are still there, which means that it's still Bonnie's room, too.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And before you know it, Bridget has a birthday, too.

Aarav looks so stylish in his ascot and beret.
But I agree! How odd that his jacket, slacks, and ascot are in shades of gold and purple, but the beret is navy blue!
(Changing the color swatches of a work outfit should not require a cheat!)
In the last update, I missed noticing how light Bridget's hair is. She seems much blonder than her mother or is it the lighting?
My sims are quite jealous of their house with all it spacious rooms!

@oshizu, yes, Bridget's hair seems lighter, but it really is the same shade as her mother's.
And Aarav has the Mansion Lover aspiration, so I keep adding on. It's such a small lot, though, I don't know how I'll get it fulfilled.

A is for Amelia, Part 4

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Hello World! Bonnie Colvin here, reporting on my family's exciting adventures. Right now, the most exciting thing is that as a child I'm able to write. But I'm sure I'll have plenty to write about.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Like my treehouse. Dad started building it, but then he had to go to work. I could only work on it when he was around, so I had to wait until he got home from work.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
It was dark by the time we finished, but Mom and Dad let me stay up late and pretend to be a space explorer. Maybe I'll do that for real someday. That would be something to write about, yes?

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
The next day was Prank Day. Dad's not much of a one for jokes, being proper and an art critic and all, but he had to laugh when I pretended to scare him. "I made you jump!" I chortled. That's a word from Jabberwocky, which is my favorite poem of all time.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
That's my little sister Bridget. She's a toddler now. I was a little jealous because Mom and Dad were going on about how bright she was, getting two more milestones than I did. But then Mom noticed me listening, and told me that the reason Bridget got more milestones was that she and Dad were more experienced parents than they'd been with me. Which makes sense, I guess.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
To show them there were no hard feelings, I spent some time helping Bridget figure out the shapes on her blocks. And that probably means that Bridget will have more toddler milestones than I did, too.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
But we do have some things in common. Bridget is a wanderer like I was. And she loves water, which I did as a baby. She also loves books, which pleases Dad because he used to be a librarian. Mom says that when I get older, and start the next leg of our legacy, I should see if I can find a librarian to marry. But she says there are only 4 around, so they're rare.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Two exciting things happened on one day. I had my first day of school, and I came home with the drawing of a pink unicorn. My teacher said it should have been white, but pink is my favorite color. But she also added that it's obvious that I inherited my mother's talent. The other exciting thing is that Mom reached the top of her career and is now a master of the real. She's finding some other focus for her energy, she says -- working on fitness...

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
...and rock climbing! She hopes that we'll be able to summit Mt. Komorebi as a family.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Along with her promotion, she received a fully equipped art studio. She and Dad put it on top of the house and extended the roof to cover her climbing wall. Dad got promoted to the top of his career, too, and became a grand steward of the arts. But he quit his job to become another painter like Mom. He says there's a certain bed he'd like to get. Anyway, he told me that I'll be able to wear any color beret I want when I get older, assuming I want to wear a beret that is. And yes, they have them in pink.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Another exciting thing has been Bridget's birthday. Yes, she got 2 more milestones as a toddler than I did (but it took her longer to learn potty training, so there).

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
She's a little genius, and wants to become a Whiz Kid, so Mom has started reading to her.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And she has a chemistry set to experiment with. I can use it too, if I want.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I don't know if I'll have time to become a Whiz Kid. I'm already a Creative Genius and an Artistic Prodigy, and I'm working on becoming a Playtime Captain (also trying to learn how to ride a bike).

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And there are all these badges I'm trying to get in Scouting. It's too bad they don't offer one for writing. Anyway, time for me to go galumphing off to bed. Bye, Bonnie Colvin

Bonnie is such a thoughtful child.
I like that she played blocks with Bridget to show her parents that she was okay about Bridget having learned more infant milestones.
The sisters' interests are developing quite differently, though if Bonnie decides to become an astronaut, they'll both be in science/tech careers. :D

Wow, Amelia and Aarvan maxed their careers while I blinked.  Congrats to both of you and your Watcher!
Oh, I see Aarvan's dilemma, striving to become a Mansion Baron on a smaller lot.  Won't displaying their masterpiece paintings help boost their lot value?
Great to hear from Bonnie's perspective.

I'd forgotten that they could keep their masterpieces. Maybe once Amelia finishes the Fortune aspiration, she'll stop selling them. I even made the walls higher on the first floor so there would be more room for paintings.

A is for Amelia, Part 5

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Hello again! I lost a tooth the day before my birthday so was able to collect from the tooth fairy.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
With Mom's help I finally learned how to ride my bike. It's going to belong to Bridget now.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
My birthday was on a Saturday, so I spent the morning playing with Bridget. It was Talk Like a Pirate Day, so we pretended to be pirates. Bridget wanted to be a fairy princess, but I told her no, on TLPD, you had to be a pirate.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And pirates ate fish, so we went fishing.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I actually caught one - a cichlid. I also caught a cowplant berry. Dad says I should save it and plant it when I have my own house.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
When we returned home, I ran and gave Mom a big hug, jumping on her because it was the last time I would be small enough to do that.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Dad made fish tacos with what we caught (Bridget got a trout). It would worry me the way he throws knives around, but he's an expert cook, so it's okay.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I went to Scouts, and when I came back, it was time for my birthday. I'm a teen now and materialistic. I'll start at Copperdale High on Monday.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Even though I got my fitness badge and maxed my motor development skill, I grew up a bit pudgy. But Mom says that exercise will bring my weight down.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And if I get fit enough and good at rock climbing, I'll be able to join her and Dad when they try to climb Mt. Komorebi.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Mom had her birthday on Sunday, the day after mine. She said she was pretty much an adult already with a daughter in her teens, so it wasn't a big deal.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
But she did start wearing the beret that Dad gave her. Even though she doesn't wear it to work, it makes her look like the great artist that she is.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
It being Sunday, I went to Scouts. I think I'll continue with that until I've gotten all my badges. The only afternoon club that appeals to me is cheerleading, and I doubt that I could make the team.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I'm going to stop writing now. My time at school is going to be an adventure, so I'm sure I'll have plenty to write about in a few more days. Bye, Bonnie Colvin.

Happy birthday, Bonnie!
It's always so surprising how very grown-up teen sims look!
Does your Alphabetacy follow a written-in-stone succession rule?
Or, will you choose whichever child you wish to bring in the next generation?
The difficult thing about the Mansion Baron aspiration is that the costliest furnishings aren't always the ones that suit the aesthetic of the current household.
Best wishes in high school, Bonnie!

P.S. Has the tooth loss bug been fixed?

@oshizu, this last patch was to reinstate the tooth loss after they took it out to fix the bug. So it's supposed to be fixed now, and Bonnie didn't have a problem.

I don't know that it's written in stone, but I'll probably stick with the first-born.

As for Mansion Baron, I'll probably just save up enough to buy a bunch of the expensive violins. For some reason, Amelia's masterpieces aren't worth as much as they used to be; also, she can get more selling them on Plopsy.

A is for Amelia, Part 6

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Hello again! Here I am writing again. Today I have three topics (my teacher is very big on topics): high school, my life at home, what Bridget is up to.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Math was my first class. I'm in Classroom 1, with Mr. Morita as my teacher.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Our second class was Science, and then on Tuesday we had Art.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
At lunch I got to know a bunch of people and add them to my Social Bunny contact list. I'm trying to become an Admired Icon, which means making friends and posting on Social Bunny.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Tuesday afternoon we didn't have class; we had Career Day instead. I talked to everyone there -- a cook (actually Ms. Harjo from the cafeteria), a doctor or scientist, and a woman who was dressed for a nightclub. I don't know what her job was, but she said it paid a lot and was exciting. I left career day feeling like I had no plans for the future, which was depressing. Having adventures and writing about them doesn't sound like much of a goal.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Prom's coming up, and when my friend Inoue showed up at my desk, I thought maybe he would ask me to go with him. He flirted with me, but when I tried to flirt back, he said I wasn't his type. So I'll be going with Camila, as a friend.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
At home, I told Mom and Dad that I would like my own room. I thought maybe they would move stuff out of the study, but instead they built this whole amazing annex for me. And they said that after I leave home, I can always come back and have a stayover there.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I have not one room, but a study of my own, complete with computer.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And upstairs a bedroom, and my own bathroom.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
The rooms are small, but there's enough space in my study for a yoga mat.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
If I don't want to go into the kitchen, I can cook something on the grill. I have to throw a party for my aspiration, so I might make it a barbecue.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Friday was Leisure Day, so I spent the morning putting together outfits to list on Trendi.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
In the afternoon, Mom, Dad, Bridget and I went over to the Enchanted Springs pool, where I surprised myself by doing a back flip off the diving board. I think I surprised Dad, too, but he got out of the way in time. And even though I'm better at swimming than I used to be, there's no way I can keep up with Mom.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Saturday, I had my first day of work as a manual laborer. I need to learn gardening if I want a promotion. Saturday is also when Prom will be, but that's for the next chapter.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Time to move on to Bridget. She has lost a tooth, but gained a sticker and some cash from the Tooth Fairy.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
One evening she decided to pretend being a princess in a fairy castle.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
She has also learned how to ride a bike.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Mom's been spending some time with her, reading to her from The Lord of the Swings and other children's books.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
She also played Don't Wake the Llama with her. I would have played too, but I was really sleepy after work. That's all for now, but next time I'll write about Prom unless it turns out to be a total disaster. Bye, Bonnie Colvin.

How generous of Amelia and Aaravn to build a two-story annex for Bonnie's sole occupation.
And her downstairs study even has private ladder access to her bedroom upstairs!
How disappointing for Bonnie that Inoue (his family name?) flirted with her then saying she's not his type. What a jerk!

About Bridget's tooth, did she wait and let it come out naturally?
My kid impatiently wiggled and pulled her tooth out then lost it somewhere in their house.
So, is letting the loose tooth fall out by itself the key to a visit from the Tooth Fairy?

Good luck to Bonnie in all her teen endeavors!
Looking forward to reading about her first prom!

Bridget yanked it out. Did your child remember to put it under the pillow when going to bed? That's the option that comes up.

As for the generosity of her parents -- Aarav is going for Mansion Baron, so the extra room is fine.

Aahhh, Bridget yoinked her loose tooth, too!
My child sim got a message that she lost her tooth somewhere in the house, so she tried looking for it and then gave up.
I'll check today if she gets the Tooth Fairy option Thank you!
