yeah, I know about Custard deciding worlds are corrupt when they aren't-and I actually have a folder I call safe to install-which I had gone through everything manually by installing so many files at a time and then checking them and uninstalling them, then trying the next batch, I usually delete my cache files every so often, and I always try and be careful with what I download from the exchange( and I do click add to game rather than save)-most of what I download from there is pets, patterns, wallpapers and hair colours-and I so far have been safe with just those-if I download a sim, I edit them (and check what they came with) and save my own version, then uninstall the version I got from the exchange, I had a bad experience with an exchange lot and households once-wound up getting that centaur/horse body thing and the vampire shirt-which was the first time I had to do a cleanout-the second and last time I had done a cleanout of all my cc was about 2 years ago so I was probably due for one anyway, I find dashboard says some files are conflicting with each other and after awhile I get too much and even though I uninstall what I'm not using-sometimes it doesn't always show up in the launcher due to it only being able to show so many files at a time on each tab-cc builds up after awhile. So even though I'm a little anxious about reinstalling everything, it was probably a good thing anyway and I always keep all of my sims and previous saves backed up. LOL, I have an entire folder that is called saves to re-create my library, and whenever I do a cleanout, I always save my user presets file and copy it so I don't lose my saved patterns or hair colours. I have umteen dozen flash drives with all my cc I download backed up-and I usually download fresh copies of patterns and wallpapers, as well as any TSR files. I do have some mods from MTS (plus NRAA's mods) but I had already checked all of those with Dashboard before I compressed them-mostly just facial hair and the mods I add the very last anyway-I found that if I put them before installing simpacks, it can slow down the installation. I have a few ones that are not compressed (like NRAA's and a few clothing and objects) but Dashboard didn't find any issues-I don't take any chances with anything it has an issue with. I also use crinct's guides as well. Most of the non-store worlds that I use are from a site called mysimreality-and I never seemed to have a problem with any lots or worlds I got from there except for the last one-which might have been the issue.
