Chai and Minsung's road to marriage has to have been the strangest one I've ever experienced so far. Together, at last!
Haha, yes, Charlotte moving in with Milli next door was certainly convenient.  I noticed they were friendly and both have the Music Lover trait so I figured, "Why not"?
Maybe Charlotte can living with one of her daughters when they become young adults.
The next-door Hothotok house has only 2 bedrooms.  (Am I the only one pronouncing this lot as Hot Hot Okay?

About Chai's rental units, I did a last check before disabling Rental Emergencies and discovered that one of them is still 4 stars.
So Chai and Minsung are on that right away. 
Also, the happy couple have a big surprise for you in the next update.

10.71: And Baby Makes Six


Sunday, Week 71 (mid-winter)
Last week, my life finally seemed to fall into place.
Tuesday, Yuri became a teen then moved back to Sungai Point, and Jaehyun become a child.
Wednesday, Minsung proposed while still married to Thaddeus, but I said yes anyway. (He's since divorced  Thad.)
That evening, Charlotte gave birth to Jing and Kamala.
Saturday, we traveled to the Romance Festival where Minsung and I get married at last.
When we returned, our next-door neighbor Milli invites Charlotte to move in with her.

Chai: Why didn't you tell me earlier that you wanted another child?
Minsung: I'm your spouse, Chai! Our child should be the next heir, not Charlotte's! Sulani Mana isn't everything!
Chai: And what's this about you wanting to be a Chef?
Minsung: While making breakfast today, I discovered I'm a Foodie! Now I want the Fresh Chef trait!


Minsung: Your parents are a big help with taking care of Jing and Kamala's bio needs.
Chai: Yes, but they won't help Jaehyun learn to ride and bike and only we can help the twins with milestones. And Minsung: Why is Papa Decha watching you through binoculars?
Chai: Don't mind him! A condition of marrying Papa Surya was becoming a Nosy Seeker of Secrets..


Chai: After bragging that my five rental units all had 5-star ratings, I discover that I'm wrong.
The Bui household,  Sara's neighbors at Isda Riverfront, still have a 4-star rating.
We're sure it's because their Maintenance rating is Poor.
Once the babies fall asleep, Minsung and I go there to do inspections and maintenance.


Chai: After we perform two inspection & maintaineance procedures each, the Buis' Unit Rating rises to 5 stars!
Only 11A Sungai Point has an Amazing Maintenance rating, and our other four units are only Satisfactory.
Still, we now own five 5-star rental units and feel ready to disable the rental emergency events.
After handling my first rental emergency on Tuesday, Week 68, I've dealt with them daily for the past 2-1/2 weeks.
We'll still check on our rentals until they all have Amazing Maintenance scores, but it's time to focus on our kids!



Monday
Chai: Minsung's off on his first day of work. He looks really handsome in his work outfit!
Once he earns the Fresh Chef trait, I selfishly hope he'll leave the Chef career despite his Ambitious trait.
After today, he doesn't work again until Friday, which is great since he gives birth tomorrow.
The twins also age up to toddlers tomorrow, so it will be a busy day!


Last week, I quit the Handyperson career after two days. It only pays §333 a day with no more promotions.
Instead, I simply craft 2-3 bathtubs daily which give me a net profit of §1,113 apiece.
Yes, I'm aware that camping mascots are more lucrative, but I'm only allowed to sell "furnishings."
I moved the kitchen from the second floor to the first floor several weeks ago.
We all prefer to cook and dine on the first floor. That second-floor space has become a skilling area.


I'm not sure why Jaehyun looks so worried. He's been doing really well.
Last night, he learned to ride a bicycle all by himself, after failing to enlist his grandpas' help.
(Minsung and I are busy looking after our twin infants!)
Today, he earns an A grade and completes Whiz Kid. Perhaps he can focus next on his character values.



Tuesday
Chai: Minsung and I have been diligently working with the twins on their milestones.
How great that they can play with toys and do Tummy Time by themselves now!
They haven't earned so many milestones but have definitely been loved and well cared for.
Here's Jing who learns to sit up first. Why's it so hard to keep the twins' names straight?


Minsung: After eating all those strawberries, I thankfully give birth to one little girl.
Looking over previous Mistura first names, I notice nobody's name stats with a B.
So I've named our daughter "Bulan," an Indonesian name which means moon.
By the way, soon after Bulan's birth,  I'm notified of Charlotte and Thad's marriages.


Tonight we learn that we can't rely on stayover guests to help babies blow out their candles.
Jing asked her grandpa Decha for help three times.
Each time, he carried her near the cake but put her down.
I finally step in because Jing is getting sleepy and we want her to age up before going to bed tonight.


Here are Jing and Kamala after their makeovers.
Dressed in shades of blue, Jing is an Inquisitive toddler.
In shades of yellow, Kamala is a Wild toddler.
They both age up with the Top-Notch Infant trait and Level 2 Communication.



Wednesday
Chai: Why does it take four hours to "Read to a child for two hours"?
Answer: I feel compelled to get up and put away each book after reading it, dropping my queue.
I wish I could sit down with 3-4 books and read them consecutively to my toddlers.
Is that too much to ask?


Minsung: Is this budding emotion a sign that I like Gardening?
Watcher: Absolutely not!
Minsung: Uh, you mean that I dislike gardening?
Watcher: You don't dislike it but you don't like it, either. You're just neutral.
I don't need another Charlotte dropping babies on the floor to go talk to plants![/i]


Chai: As Buddhists, we don't actually celebrate the Winterfest, hence we have no holiday tree or decorations.
But everyone loves to open presents, especially small children, so we've piled up the presents.


Minsung's teen kids need to move out of 11B Sungai Point because they keep violating the No Trash Overload rule.
The family-friendliest solution would be to move them in with us, but then my parents couldn't stay over to help.
So I buy the teens a two-bedroom house in Countryside Windenburg and upgrade all its furnishings and décor.
They should be fine there until their YA birthdays in two weeks.

I rent out Unit 11B to a new tenant named Denzel Reevera. He's Ambitious, Romantic, and Non-Committal.
Not my type at all.



Thursday
Chai: Bulan aged up to an infant yesterday evening.
Whenever she needs anything, I rush to her side only to find Papa Decha is already there!
It's curious that he's such a great grandpa even though he's not Family Oriented.
Meanwhile, Papa Surya is Family Oriented but he's not helpful at all. He ignores the toddlers request for help.
And when he cooks, he only makes a single serving for himself. I'm thinking of sending him home.


I still visit one rental unit or another every day. Yesterday, I visited Denzel to fine him for breaking a tenant rule.
Today, there's a Pet Adoption Drive at Sungai Point where I'm supposed to pet 5 cats and dogs.
After an hour of chasing the visiting pets around, I get a message about a Tenant Revolt at Isda Riverfront.
What does my sister have to revolt about? None of my tenants have ever paid any rent!
Honestly, if I don't get any rental income next Wednesday, I'm selling my two rental properties!



Friday
It's Friday night, Minsung is at work, and our three babies are awake.
Just as I'm about to put Bulan to bed, I get notified about a Water Leak at the Bui household's unit.
I can't leave our babies alone to deal with that, so I hire an expensive contractor.
I've disabled rental emergencies but my rental properties failed to get that memo. I hate my job!


Jaehyun has taken advantage of the fact that his Grandpa Surya won't help the toddlers or Baby Bulan.
First, he had Grandpa S mentor him in Chess until he maxed Logic.
Now, they're behind the Isda Riverfront property, where Jaehyun has Grandpa S mentor him in fishing.
It's a win-win situation! While he's fishing, Jaehyun can't ask Minsung and I for advice.
And since Papa Surya is mentoring, he's not eating all the food that Minsung prepared for the toddlers.



Saturday
Minsung (mutters): Watcher is so mean! My Fun is low so I wanted to woohoo with Chai.
But Watcher said we've had enough kids and bought me this bicycle instead.
I wonder which is better exercise: Bicycling or Woohoo?
Hmmm, maybe I should do a little bodybuilding to extend my longevity.


Chai: You know I love you, Papa Surya. But if you don't wanna be here, you can go home to Morensong?
Surya; Why? What do you mean?
Chai: I've been watching you.  You never autonomously interact with our baby girls.
And you have the Fresh Chef but you only cook one-serving dishes to eat by yourself. 
It's hard to believe that you have the Generous trait!
Surya: …


Chai: For example, take this morning. Bulan asked you four times to feed her.
Papa Decha and I hadn't figured you would ignore little Bulan until her Hunger dropped to the red zone.
I finally realized you'd no intention of helping her and rushed to feed her.
Don't you care that we gave Bulan has an Indonesian name to honor you?


Jing (blue) feels hurt because she believes I'm ignoring her in favor of Kamala. It's so not true!
No matter what I do, though, she stays upset with me.
While I craft my two bathtubs for the day, Jing asks her Grandpa Surya to help her study shapes.
(I guess my talk with Papa Surya paid off.)
Kamala (yellow) is in her Ask Why phase with her Grandpa Decha, but he humors her.


Decha: How are you doing these days, Chai? Are you happy?
Chai: Well, Minsung and I are finally together, Jaehyun is a fine boy, and our little girls are growing quickly.
Decha: You are generous to a fault, Chai! You moved Minsung's whole family here and raised his kids for him.
Thanks to you, Daesung and Yuri finished aspirations, scouts, excelled at school, and will become responsible YAs.

Chai: Well, I'm the one who's Family Oriented, after all.
Decha: How important is that trait, though? Look at me and Surya; I'm actually a better caregiver!
Chai: True, true.
Decha: It's good of you to look after everybody, son, but be sure to pursue your own happiness, too!

*Landlord life: Playing as a tenant is fine, but playing as a landlord with young children is horrid.
   Working as a landlord is THE main feature of the For Rent pack, yet Chai never receives any rent.
   Also, rental emergencies remain disabled in Pack Settings, reloading the game re-enables them.

*Paying Rental Tax: We use MCCC's Auto Bill Pay feature which auto-deducts the bill payment every Monday.
  I've disabled it to see if paying the Rent Tax manually will encourage the tenants to actually pay rent.
  Also, I've enabled MCCC's Child Can Pay Bills setting as Kamala is our only sim who can interact with the mailbox.
  So many glitches!

*The Gen11 heir: I used Pinstar's Trait Generator to roll all three girls' personality traits in advance.
  Each of them rolled traits that would work for the next heir, so I'm going to wait before making a final choice.

*Where's My Attention? and No Attention Left moodlets: Jing always has one of these moodlets.
  She also harbors an "Ignored" sentiment against Chai; the sentiment's description reads: "Jing feels overshadowed by her sibling."
  Chai doesn't show more attention to Kamala but, because Jing's usually sad or angry, ends up giving Jing all his attention.
  Does anyone have any tips on fixing the Where's My Attention moodlet? Socializing, flash cards, Nesting blocks, Play, and Affection do not affect her "Ignored" sentiment.
  If anything, Chai spends all day with Jing so it's Kamala who actually deserves to feel ignored. Help!

Gah, the toddler Jing is so annoying!
Chai was trying rectify Jing's "Ignored" sentiment so he chose the Express Love social. But she rejected it and now she feels "Hurt" because Chai wronged her.
I'm ready to ship Jing out!

The only way to avoid it would be to keep them in separate rooms - not very practical or true to life.  Repeated affection and apologies when available does make it go away eventually.

On Reddit, a few simmers also recommend apologizing to the Ignored/Hurt toddler, but I'm pretty sure sims don't have the Apologize option for toddlers, only Affection/Soothe.
Though toddlers have the Deep Thoughts option (for Ask Why and Ask About World), I see no Deep Thoughts option toward toddlers for children and older.
Chai has scoured all his social menus, but has never seen the Apologize option with Jing. (I've only had parents Apologize to children, not toddlers, before.)
In Jing's case, she gets it whenever she notices Chai interacting with the infant Bulan. Chai tried repeated Affection socials which Jing often rejects.
It's impossible to hide because Bulan's playmat is in front of the fireplace in the living room (as had been the case for the twins).

I do appreciate your suggestion about keeping Jing and Bulan separate.
It's not entirely possible, but I should've moved the tub so it didn't require passing through Bulan's nursery then locked Jing out of the nursery.
It's curious that Jing feels ignored but her twin Kamala doesn't.  I'm hoping Jing will outgrow it on her child birthday. *crosses fingers

Complaining about Papa Surya is simply part of the story since Decha is an exemplary grandpa though he's not Family Oriented like Surya.

With Minsung working, it hasn't been easy for Chai to raise 4 kids in three different life stages.
I'm going to ignore Jing from now on. She doesn't deserve all the attention she craves. LOL!

Not gonna lie!  All the recent glitches have been quite annoying, too!

But, seriously, Minsung and Chai each have four kids.  That's quite enough, epseically since Chai ends up doing most of the heavy lifting when it comes to parenting.

Yes, Denzel's a total hunk! I've only checked out 1-2 other premade sims that spawn only as tenant applicants (not in the world) with the For Rent pack.
Lol, if Chai's tenant would pay their rent, Chai would be motivated to renovate another rental property to rent out.
As for rental emergencies, I've disabled them in Game Options/Pack Settings, but the continue to occur.
In my current week (Week 72), they're happening on a daily basis.  *shakes my head

10.72a: The Unforgiven


Sunday, Week 72, Year  6  (late winter)
Chai: Last Sunday, Minsung surprised me with the news that he was pregnant!
Not only that, but he de discovered he was a Foodie and joined the Culinary career to earn the Fresh Chef trait.
Bulan was born on Tuesday, hours before our twin infants aged up to toddlers.
Thank the Fates that Jaehyun practically looks after himself!
After the umpteenth No Trash Overload violation, I bought the Lee teens a house and move them to Windenburg.
Jing drove me crazy with her jealousy over Bulan.
The new tenant, Denzel Reevera, is a fox. *whispers: I wish I'd met him earlier

Papa Surya has really stepped up after I talked with him last week about being more helpful.
Bulan has max friendship with me and her Grandpa Surya. I thought she'd be better friends with her Grandpa Decha.
She's barely friends with Minsung because he's not around enough.
By the way, Bulan has been sleeping poorly since yesterday. 
She sleeps for 6-7 hours but wakes up with her Energy still in the red zone. I don't know what's causing it.


I'm sorry, Jing, but you don't have what it takes to become the next heir.
You are usually either sad or angry because you resent me and your young er sister Bulan.
Sadly, you lack the selflessness required to care for a family.


Jaehyun: I've run out of things to do before my teen birthday, so I decide to become a Social Butterfly.
That's Kiersten Hauer. She's a Music Lover like me.
She's the last friend I need for my aspiration and we also become Bracelet Buddies.  Cool, right?


Chai: I think I've figured out why Bulan couldn't sleep today.
It's because I enabled that "Into the Moodlet Lamp" this morning, a lamp we'd never used before.
I'd placed it when decorating Cirta Choo's bedroom weeks ago, without knowing how the lamp worked.
There's something about enabling it that prevented Bulan from sleeping well. Not sure what, exactly.



Monday
Chai (sighs): Another Tenant Revolt, this time instigated by Thi Linh in 11C Sungai Point.
Those Linhs are a terrible influence on Denzel, my new tenant!


Back home, I take a good look at my bills. I use an Auto-Pay program, so I usually don't give them a glance.
So my Unpaid Bills of §1,850 consist of a §125 Power bill and §1,750 in Rental Taxes (§250/day x 7 day).
Since I'm paying my Rental Taxes manually, will my tenants pay their rent on Wednesday?  We shall see…


I was hoping Jing would feel better about Bulan if they played together.
When Bulan reached the Pincer Grasp milestone, though, Jing burst into tears of envy.
And did I mention that I have a Supportive relationship with Jing? 
Anyway, Bulan ages up into an Angelic toddler with the Top-Notch Infant trait.



Tuesday
Chia: Yes, I'm back at Sungai Point, this time for an Electrical Failure emergency at Denzel's unit (11B).
It's an easy fix. I only have to repair the Utility Room's fuse box and the tea kettle in the kitchen.
How oddly peaceful to do repairs alone.
Darn missed opportunity! I shoulda changed into my Handyperson outfit for this screenshot!


When I go to tell Denzel his power's back on, I find him playing Simbles on the back patio.
Well, why not? I already tended the garden today and Bulan is currently asleep.
Jaehyun and the twins age up this evening, so I'm free for an hour or two.
It's nice to socialize with a grownup about topics other than babies.
My fathers' stayover ends tonight after the kids' birthday. I bet they're eager to go home.


Thi Linha from Unit 11C comes over to say hello.
We can't ask her to join our Simbles game, I guess, because we've already started.
Denzel and Thi are delighted when I commend them for being good tenants.
I mean, they haven't staged a tenant revolt for over 24 hours!
After an hour of Simbles, Denzel launches a Pet Adoption Drive at Sunga Point. That's my cue to go home.


I arrive home to find "loyal" Minsung trying to flirt with Papa Decha who rejects his advances.
I realize Minsung and I both discovered we're Romantic, but…my father?
Checking Minsung's Romance tab, I learn he has teeny-tiny romance bars with BOTH of my fathers.
I'd show you proof but I immediately made him go ask my fathers to just be friends.
This situation can't go on!!! But first, it's time to age up Jaehyun, Jing, and Kamala.


Jaehyun ages up into Genius Music Lover and with that guyliner which quite suits him.
He looks a lot like me but with Minsung's…cheeks?
Jing is Outgoing but stills feels Ignored despite our Supportive relationship. At least I can apologize now. *rolls eyes
Kamala Loves the Outdoors and, though we don't have a Supportive relationship, doesn't feel Ignored by me.



Wednesday
No, I still haven't collected any rent.
That's just a notification that another landlord received when their tenants paid rent.
In my case, I should be receiving §27,510 (3,938 daily x 7 days).
The  majority of landlords claim they automatically receive rent at 5 am on Wednesdays.
Another landlord's tenants pay every Thursday morning.  And me, I got nada.

Now that Jaehyun and Jing have left for school and Bulan's asleep, Minsung and I need to talk.


Chai: After all I've done for you and your family, you repay me by macking on my fathers!?
Minsung: What? You want a medal for raising Daesung and Yuri then buying them a house?
C: It always boils down to simoleons for you, doesn't it? Is it because you're Materialistic?
Did you want to marry me only because I offered financial security?
M: How dare you! I've ruined my reputation for you with my three marriages.
C: Oh please. That jobless loser Amir Bailey was totally on you.
And you were the one who insisted I marry you after I introduced you to my cousin Thaddeus.


M: But I'm not even romantically interested in your fathers. It's your fault for leaving me with them.
C: That's a lie and you know it! Watcher always enables MCCC's Stop Random Flirting feature.
It stops a sim in a Flirty mood from autonomously flirting unless a romance already exists.
M: Oh, um, so what happens now. After I apologize, we're all good, right?
C: Honestly? I'd like you to move out and take both Jaehyun and Bulan with you.


Kamala: Wow, Papa and Uncle Minsung were having a really loud argument in public!
I'm not sure what happened, but I'm not really related to Uncle Minsung.
He's only a housemate to me and he hardly ever helps me with anything.
Whatever's going on with Papa and Uncle is no business of mine!


Chai: A Haunting at Sungai Point interrupts my distasteful convo with Minsung.
Thankful for an excuse to stop arguing, I rush to Unit 11A.
After two hours searching Unit 11A and the entire lot, I find no ghost nor possessed object.
Fine. I go home and hire an Expensive Contractor who quickly gets rid of the ghost.


Over at Ro Kaya Rockside
Chai: Sorry to bother you at dinnertime but I have to ask: Have you both been flirting with Minsung?
Surya: How could you even think that of us, Chai? You know that Decha and I are crazy about each other!
Decha: We were hoping Minsung would stop and we wouldn't need to tell you,
Whenever you leave Minsung to handle your rental emergencies, he starts flirting with us.
Surya: I know it looked bad to you, Chai, because Decha and I had pink bars with Minsung.
But when Decha and I were feeling flirty together, Minsung would approach us and catch us off guard.
Decha: We would never ever initiate a romantic relationship with the one you love, Chai!
Chai: Sigh, that's what I was afraid of.


Chai: But what should I do now?
Surya: Minsung obviously can't be trusted. He needs to move out!
Decha: What about Jaehyun and Bulan? Wasn't Bulan one of your heir candidates.
Chai: Not anymore. She's already a Happy Toddler so Minsung can easily look after her from now on.

Surya: Sadly, Jaehyun and Bulan will suffer the most. What about keeping them with you?
Chai: And raise four children by myself? No thanks! Don't forget that I raised Daesung and Yuri, too.
Surya: Well, whatever you decide, we're here for you, son. But, please, no more stayovers!


Back home
Chai: Jaehyun, you're old enough to hear this. Your parents don't agree on how a marriage should work.
That's why I've asked Minsung to move out with you and Bulan.
Jaehyun: Wait, what!? Why do I have to go with him? Why can't I live here with you, Papa Chai?
Please let me stay! At least, until after this Saturday's Prom!
Chai: Fine, only for Prom. But you better take Watcher with you to school tomorrow so a Principal shows up.

Minsung: And what about me, Chai? When do I need to move out?
Chai: I'd like you to move out as soon as you earn that Fresh Chef trait. With luck, that could be tomorrow.


Chai: Minsung and I travel to Desert Bloom Park where he asks the Wishing Well for a promotion.
He's granted a guaranteed promotion to Level 8.
All he needs now is to complete his daily task for work. Looks like tomorrow's moving day!


Chai: Bulan, I will miss you so much, but I have to let you leave with Minsung.
Otherwise, he'll use you as an excuse to keep visiting me.
Don't worry. I'll find a nice house for you, Minsung, and the teens. You'll be fine. *sniffle, sniffle


Thursday
Breaking news! This morning, my tenants paid their rent for the very first time!
My Daily Rental Income is §2,930 for a weekly rental income of §27,510.
However, I receive §78,960 which is slightly less than three weeks' worth of rental income.
But that makes sense, since I raised the rent on some units during their last Grace Period.
I guess I won't be selling my rental properties after all.  Or?


Gentle readers, you're probably thinking that I'm overly impulsive for wanting to kick Minsung out so quickly.
For one thing, that man was sneaking around flirting with my fathers while I was out working!
Also, my Adult birthday's in eight days and my personal life's still in upheaval!
I can't be dilly-dallying with someone who I can't trust.  Well, back to the drawing board!

  But Bulan, who didn't have the Well Cared For moodlet, still earned the Top-Notch Infant trait.

*MCCC's Stop Random Flirting setting: I always set this to Enabled. According to its description:
  "Stop Sims from flirting with another Sim autonomously when they are in a flirty mood if they have no
   prior romantic relationship levels."
   I guess this means we can't blame Minsung's Romantic trait for his indiscretions.
   What a shock to check Minsung's Romance tab and see had little pink bars with Surya and Decha.
 
*Rental Income: Chai did only one thing different this week than previous weeks.
  We disabled MCCC's Auto Bill Pay so Chai manually paid his Rental Taxes and Bills.
  I can't say definitively that Auto Bill Pay was the reason he wasn't collecting rent before.
  But if you use MCCC and aren't receiving rent income, try disabling Auto Bill Pay.
 Also, the collected rent is paid directly into Household Funds.
 Chai is only standing in front of his mailbox for "atmosphere," haha.

Er, Denzel who? Chai wasn't expecting much when he accepted Denzel's tenant application.
Denzel was a single YA offering to pay more rent than all the other tenant applicants.
I peeked at another application by the Zaki household consisting of four YAs (3 of which appear in the For Rent trailer), but we chose Denzel blind.
Really makes me want to check out all the hidden NPC tenant applicants.

I wish EA would prohibit romance between in-laws and step-family.
When I saw that Minsung had a pink bar with Surya, I let it go. But when he developed one with Decha, too, I thought, "Chai deserves better than this!"

On another note, after FOUR weeks of working as a landlord, Chai finally collected rent from his tenants!
Chai's a little offended that neither of you congratulated him on that!  LOL!

10.72b: Born Under a Bad Sign



Thursday, Week 72, Year 6  (later winter)
Chai: Why is my life so hard no matter how hard I try?
Last Tuesday, I came home from a rental emergency to find Minsung flirting with my father Decha.
Turns out he had small romance bars with both of my fathers.
When I asked my fathers about it, they blamed it all on Minsung and advised me to kick him out.
So that's what I'm going to do.
In other news, Jaehyun aged up to a handsome teen and the toddler twins became grade-schoolers.
The best news of all, though is that I collected rent for the very first time this morning!

Jaehyun: I was planning to take a vacation day from school today to craft my Promposal sign.
But Papa reminds me that I need to attend school actively to make a new Principal spawn.
Papa says Copperdale High hasn't had a Principal since he invited the last one, Cirta Choo, to join his household.
Anyway, Watcher joins me at high school and I introduce myself to the new Principal.
Since he's an adult, he might even be around when Jing and Kamala are teens.


This is Jayla Charoen who lives in 15 Taka Sol over in Morensong.
I'd wanted to introduce you readers to her after school when I ask her to the Prom.
But she jumps the gun by showing up in my class and asking me to Prom as friends.
Ngl. I'm disappointed. I mean, as friends?!


At lunch break, I head to the cafeteria but no cafeteria staff shows up.
Jayla follows me there and certainly isn't acting like she thinks of me as a friend.
I only have until Prom Night to convince her I'm The One for her.
She's a Music Lover like me, but I'm also a Genius while she's an Art Lover.


Chai: During Chai's lunch break, I'm notified of a Sewage Leak at the Buis' unit at Isda Riverfront.
Jaehyun switches control to me so I can deal with but as I'm doing repairs, Jaehyun's portrait flashes.
Is he in trouble for switching control to me during school hours?
I go home to hire a contractor, completely forgetting that I have to actually run home.
By the time I get home, Jaehyun's back from school so I return to Isda Riverfront and fix the Sewage Leak. Sheesh!


At 5 pm, Minsung earns his Level 8 Chef promotion.
Around 6 pm, Kamala becomes a Llamacorn Scout. There's something odd going on with the twins.
On Tuesday, Jing aged up early enough to attend school on Wednesday but Kamala didn't.
But Jing's still a C student after attending school for two days, while Kamala earned a B on her first day at school. Why?


I'm so thrilled for Bulan when she maxes her last toddler skill. 
Meanwhile, Minsung prepares Pancit Bihon, which he knows is my favorite dish.
As if anything he does now can turn back the clock on our relationship!


As soon as Minsung's done cooking, I ask him for a divorce.
He has the nerve to yell at me, as if HE were the victim.
I've bought the Dresden House and put it in Bulan's name, but Minsung and his teen kids will live there, too.



Friday
It's too cold to be playing on the Splash Pad, but the girls want to become Playtime Captains.


The kids can leave for school by themselves, so I head for the nearby fishing spot.
What a pleasant surprise when my new tenant Denzel shows up, too.


Chai: Oh, you let that fish get away.  You want me to mentor you?  I've been fishing since I was a kid.
Denzel: I'd love that but only for another half hour or so. I work from 9 on weekdays.
Chai: Gee, I've never asked you about your career. What do you do?
Denzel: I'm a Senior Manager at a business firm. Hey it's time for me to go home and get ready for work. See you around!
Chai: Yeah, see you around!


I teleport around Koh Sahpa for a few hours, checking sand piles and hoping to find my last marble.
I can't shake the feeling that I'll find the Eye of the Tiger marble at the Sulea Tiger Sanctuary. 
Maybe I need to try sneaking in at night again?
Hey, I've donated §50 to the sanctuary several times now, but never received the Tiger Plushie!


Jaehyun: Papa, speaking frankly, I don't really want to live with Papa Minsung and his kids.
Chai: I thought you'd say that. I bought a 3-bedroom beachfront house for you on Windenburg Island.
Jaehyun: Seriously? It's right on the beach? So, do I move there tonight after Prom?
Chai: Yes. Here, I've had its deed signed over to you. It's a 30x20 lot called Pier Palace.


Chai: Minsung phones the day after he moves out to ask me if he should get to know Kristine Wada better.
Where is my "What the heck do I care" button?


 
Saturday
Charlotte: Chai, long time no see! I ran into your father Decha at The Screaming Gecko lounge last night.
So sorry to hear about your divorce. If it's any consolation, I always thought you were too good for him!
Chai: Haha, thanks. Thanks, too, for sending the twins birthday gifts on Tuesday.
Charlotte: Are they around? May I visit with them?


Charlotte: Look at how big my girls have grown! Did you like the birthday gifts I sent you?
Kamala (hugs Charlotte): Yes, thank you for thinking of us. I wish you'd visit us more often!
Jing: Thank you for the toys, but we already have a lot of toys.
Charlotte: Girls, would you like to come visit the Bailey-Moon Manor where I live?


Jing & Kamala: Yes, yes!  Papa, may we go?
Chai: C'mon, Jaehyun! Let's all go for a visit.
Jing (whispers to Kamala): How come Mama lives in a big, beautiful house but we live in a crummy ole wooden shack?


Chai: I never knew you lived in such a luxurious house, Charlotte.
Charlotte: When Joemar and I started dating, I hadn't realized he lived in such a fancy house, either.
We recently renovated it with large 2nd-floor bedrooms in case the girls ever want to live with us.
Chai: That's for the girls to decide. What do you think, Jing?  Kamala?


Jing: I just checked upstairs and we would each have our own big bedroom, Kamala. I want to live here!
Kamala: But, Papa, wouldn't you feel lonely if we left? What about your hair?
Chai: My hair?
Kamala: Your Gen11 hair or something. I read about it a little on the forums.
Chai: You needn't worry about that, Kamala. I think your mother and her husband can give you a better life than I can.
Jing: Yay!  Let's go home now then, so Kamala and I can pack our things!  It's okay if we move in today, right, Mama?


Jaehyun: After the twins move out, Papa takes me with him as he goes around doing inspections and maintenance.
I'd only ever seen Papa crafting bathtubs, so it's pretty cool seeing him at work.
Now that I'm finally old enough to help him, though, he bought me a house so I could live on my own.
I don't know exactly what happened between my fathers, but Papa Chai sure seems sad lately.


Jaehyun: When we return home, I invite my girlfriend Jayla over and propose.
Yes, she's already my girlfriend which is why I'm surprised she asked me to Prom as friends.
Papa says I can ask her to move in with me to Pier Palace, but only if we're engaged.
I was planning to propose anyway.  Once we're engaged, she wants to elope right away. How can I say no?
We're still teens but I've watched my father's indecisiveness. I don't want to repeat his mistakes.


Jaehyun: Our one and only Prom is a night to remember.
We laughed, we danced, we…um…took a photo in the Photo Booth.


For goodness sake! I am truly my father's son!
After the award ceremony, I look for Jayla and see her kissing another sim!
Looking closer, I recognize the sim as her elder brother Tyler.
Whew!  I am quite fine with family kisses.


Jaehyun: Thanks so much for this wonderful house, Papa! Jayla and I love it!
Chai: I'm happy to hear that, son.
Jaehyun: Are you going to be okay by yourself, Papa?
You're always welcome here, you know.


Chai: I'm spending New Year's Eve alone for the first time in my life.
The house feels so big and empty with all the children gone.
Can you believe it? I'm exactly where I started 5-1/2 weeks ago. Without my sisters Ratih and Sara, that is.
When I wake up, it will be Day 1 of Year 7. Will the new year bring me true love and happiness?

I'm not certain that disabling MCCC's Auto Bill Pay was what fixed Chai's no rent payment issue, but it was the only thing he did different that week.
I'd read on reddit that a landlord wouldn't receive rent payment unless he'd already paid off his Rental Taxes prior to rent collection day.
That's why I thought to disable Auto Bill Pay, thinking the game might not recognize MCCC's auto-pay of Chai's bills and Rental Taxes.

No, there's no Gen11 at this time.
Chai's four children are disqualified because they moved out of the legacy household.
As a Family Oriented parent, Chai is very sad about losing all his children at once.
On the bright side, his life can't get any worse.  Probably.

Awesome that Chai finally collected rent - and back-rent for the previous weeks as well.

Oh, wow, it does feel lonely for Chai going from all the activity to an empty nest. I hope he will take a bit of time for himself before he dives back in . . . that said, I have high hopes for Denzel. The question is, will Chai be remarried in a week, or will he take it a little slower this time?
