Just a heads-up, Teens can't Tutor for the next level in the Academic Aspiration. But you probably knew that already.

It is annoying that they can't take a vacation while enrolled at uni. You could take a few days between terms if it fits with other plans.

Daichi clearly loves Licia's family. I hope Licia's feeling for him will be reciprocated in time.
Thanks for the tutoring comment. But I think the timing will work out okay: Licia & Daichi age up to YAs during their third term.
Haha, I considered a short vacay between terms, but no. I am already eager to meet the next generation, LOL!

It's nice that Licia & Daichi have a chance to get to know each other first. She won't be repeating the mistake of her mother Gisela!
At least, we hope not!

5.32: Friend Zone or End Zone?

Sunday, Week 32  (mid-autumn)
Licia: Last Sunday, I moved with Daichi from a 3-story house with basement to this 2-story house.
Our first term started on Wednesday, which means it ends the day after tomorrow.
Besides school, not much happened last week. Unless you count my crush on Daichi.
Oh yeah, and there's that unresolved issue concerning Daichi's swimwear…

Gisela: It looks like everything's going well for you. What are you so worked up about?
Licia: I had this requirement to write 10 novels, which I completed this morning.
Gisela: That's smashing news, right?
Licia: No! Six of my 10 novels were bestsellers so Watcher's changed it to "Write 10 bestsellers."
Gisela: Watcher's right. You should go ahead and complete Bestselling Author. You can do it!

Daichi: I'm so lucky to be living here with Licia! It's spacious and well-furnished yet peaceful.
I shudder to imagine myself living in a dorm with students who are slobs or lousy violin players!
Our weekly bills are a bit steep at  $4,477, but I'm easily paying my half.
Licia's father generously mentored me in Logic this morning. I wonder if he can mentor Handiness, too.

Rogelio: Asking my stepson Jessie to mentor me in Handiness was a wise decision.
Daichi doesn't realize it yet, but this boy will be the father of my future grandchildren!
And I'm not mad that Daichi's not all over Licia.
As Licia's father, I'm pleased that their friendship phase is longer than for most kids their age.

Daichi: I really want to become a Nerd Brain so I can insta-upgrade all my kitchen appliances.
But I can't go to GeekCon for the space missions because I have classes.
When I explain this to Licia's mom, she says her great-grandpa has a rocket ship and takes me there.
Wait, what?  THE Prince Mistura?  Color me amazed. Oh, I almost forgot I'm here for the rocket ship!

Monday
Daichi: Props to Papa Rogelio for helping me max both Logic and Handiness!
Upgraded kitchen appliances, here we come!

Licia: Last week, Daichi got the Skilled Fingers moodlet whenever he ate with chopsticks.
I'd thought he was being silly but then he became Chopstick Savvy during the Festival of Snow.
Since then, I've been eating with chopsticks at least once a day. Now I'm Chopstick Savvy, too!
If you're wondering why I'm in fewer screenshots lately, it's because I am mostly writing.

Daichi: I sometimes wonder if Licia chose this place with my interests in mind.
The kitchen offers ample counter space for cooking or baking and lots of cabinet space for storage.
On the patio, I grow nectar ingredients, make nectar, and practice wellness.
Just two more hours of meditation and I'll find genuine Inner Peace. I'm utterly spoiled for dorm life!

Tuesday
Daichi: Darn it! Why did my idol Prince have to visit and complicate my life!?
This morning, I develop a crush on Licia so I check her profile. She's got a crush on me!
Then, Prince comes over and I crush hard on him! Why? He's, like, ancient but very, very nice.
These aren't your usual crushes, since I'm demi. They're more like friendship crushes.

Licia: I'm pretty sure that Watcher's jinxed me!
Ever since she changed my task to "Write 10 bestsellers," my books are mostly Excellent quality.

Licia: Nice! We both earned an A+ in every class! Shall we take the same elective again?
Daichi: Yeah, I signed up for Parenting, like you, but my class meets on different days.
In fact, I have three MWF classes and only one TTh class!
Licia: Mine are two and two like the first term. Let's go home and get started on our homework!

Wednesday
Daichi: With Licia spending so much of her time writing, I've become the narrative diversion.
This afternoon, I'm jogging to clear my mind.
I'll be a young adult in eight more days and I'd like to age up with three positive character values.

Thursday
Licia: By now, Daichi and I are pretty sick and tired of doing schoolwork.
He suggests we co-host a dinner party so I can invite my extended family (he doesn't know them all yet).
A welcome reprieve from sitting hunched over my laptop!

Daichi: This is such a good idea!  I alternate between introducing myself and completing party goals.
Why, yes, I'm a snob but Licia's family doesn't include a single dud!
Everyone I've met so far has been courteous, considerate, and engaging.

Until tonight, I'd never mixed a drink in my life.  Trial by fire, if you will.
All the guests seem to be having a blast.
After our (gold-medal) party ends, I have a serving of Bhel Puri and become a Spice Hound.  Yes!

Friday
Daichi: You don't have to finish all your homework tonight!
Licia: But I only have homework for one class left plus one more bestseller…
Daichi: You have all weekend for that! Let's go have fun in Mt. Komorebi!
Ugh, if  I didn't  need to wear a festival kimono, I wouldn't be caught dead in this ugly thing!

Licia: Oh no! Please tell me I don't have to go down the slope in this festival kimono.
And, anyway, isn't it supposed to a cotton yukata for summer?
Daichi: We definitely can't go sledding in these!

Licia: Whoaaaa! Daichi, I thought you'd gone sledding before!
Daichi: I never said that!

Daichi: Just as sledding becomes really fun, we realize that "Go sledding 3 times" is a solo task.
Bummer!

Licia: I am aching all over!
Daichi: That blasphemously name Sutefani Onsen has been replaced by a super nice hot springs resort.
We have a goal to "Soak  for a Long Time in a Hot Spring." I wonder how long "a Long Time" is.
For Licia and Daichi, it took around five sim-hours.

Licia (mutters): Those stupid swim trunks again!
Daichi (to himself) I'm going to pretend that I didn't hear that.
We've become such good friends and I thought Licia might be different.
But she's obsessing over my body like all the others I've met.
Why can't Licia be happy with our emotional closeness?
Why must I constantly be objectified? Why the big rush to get physical?

Saturday
Licia: How did Daichi become Chopstick Savvy and Spice Hound so quickly? Because he's a Foodie?
I'm feeling rather left out, so I eat three bowls of Bhel Puri in a row.
Now I'm a Spice Hound like Daichi!
The best news today, though is that I wrote my 10th bestseller and became a Bestselling Author!

Licia: When we get a notice about the Romance Festival, I think my moment has arrived!
But, while drinking sakura tea together, a Very Flirty adult comes over and starts flirting with Daichi.
Apparently, he's a House DJ who has good compatibility with Daichi.
I ask the Romance Guru about my romantic destiny and get a senseless response. Oh well.

I lure Daichi away from the House DJ with the promise of learning the Ramen recipe.
Just when I think sparks might start flying, a married dude sits next to Daichi and starts flirting with him.
Daichi doesn't flirt back but is he exuding pheromones that attract older men?

Licia: Tell me honestly, Daichi. Do you romantically and physically prefer men?
Daichi: What? No! I'm not into the hookup culture, not with anyone. I'm not big on romance, either.
Licia: So what am I? Your pretend sister?
Daichi: You are my dearest and closest friend, silly!

Licia: I thought I might be moving slowly toward the end zone but I'm obviously stuck in the friend zone.
Well, baby boy, I guess I'll go hardcore friend zone. *asks Daichi to be BFFs
I love being around Daichi and my family is crazy about him, too.
We have a good thing. I don't ever want to lose it.

Watcher: Updates for this generation have been quick and easy to write.
One, it's only a two-sim household which requires little micro-managing.
Two, their activities revolve around schoolwork, which means fewer screenshot opportunities.
But the coming week, Licia and Daichi become young adults then graduate uni the week after that.
I'm looking forward to their post-university life!

I will never understand why this awful name was chosen for the default onsen bathhouse.  Ugh!

Upstairs, there are rooms dedicated to yoga and massage.
The outdoor hot spring area is lovely.

*Write 10 bestsellers: The source challenge's requirement is to "Write 10 novels."

Oh no! Not the friend-zone. That's really hard to get out of. As long as he doesn't get any serious pashes on other people before he realises that Licia is his destiny.
To be fair to Licia's intended, he's working really hard for things that aren't required. It's a sweet friendship

Left to their own devices, they feel flirty but don't flirt with each other. Meanwhile, every sim and their father comes onto to Daichi. LOL!
If  it was a bigger household, having Daichi attend uni alongside Licia might've been too much trouble.
It's not bad at all with only two sims to play. Also, I'm having Daichi farm satisfaction to buy some reward traits. ;j)

Mistura Mishmash Legacy 5.33: Only If I Want It to Be? (23 Sep '23)
« Reply #304 on: September 23, 2023, 02:32:42 PM »
5.33: Only If I Want It to Be?

Sunday, Week 33  (late autumn)
Licia: Let's see…what happened last week besides completing our first term at uni?
My other big achievements were writing my 10th bestseller and becoming a Bestselling Author.
At the Romance Fest, two old guys macked on Daichi and I ended up in the friend zone. *sighs
Today, we're spending the day in Tartosa with my parents and grand-parents.

Daichi!  Surprise!  Happy now?
Licia (about to apply sunscreen): Um, would you move back? You're standing a little too close!
Daichi: Licia?
Licia: Yes?
Diachi: Would you mind meeting my eyes when I talk to you?

Daichi: Licia, is it okay if I go home by myself?
Licia: Sure, why?
Daichi: Your sister Dakota asked me to be BFFs, which was fine.
But then she flirted with me, which makes me uncomfortable.
Licia: Let's both leave. I've entered a Distant phase where being around family stresses me out.

Licia: Why are we at the gym with you being mentored by a vampire?
Daichi: It's New Skill Day and fitness is easy to level.  This trainer just started mentoring me.
Licia: Folks really flock to you, don't they?
Daichi: So why won't you say why you're so sunburned? How could you forget to apply sunscreen?
Licia: (to herself): Do I admit the speedo made me forget? Nah…)

Monday
Licia: We have final exams today and tomorrow.
Daichi mastered Nectar-Making this evening but his nectars take so long to age.
Daichi says he doesn't mind for now. He has too little free time to spend it in a cramped cellar.

Tuesday
Daichi: My fourth final isn't until 3pm, so I have several hours to hold a yard sale.
Comparing household funds before and after my yard sale, I earned $84,881.
I'm 26 bottles of Excellent Nectar and $15,119 in nectar sales from becoming a Nectar Know-It-All!

Licia: We aced our second term!
Daichi: At this rate, we'll graduate with honors!
Licia: I chose a Fitness class as my elective for our last term. Will you take it, too?
Daichi: Our electives are always scheduled at different times, so I signed up for Parenting again.
Arrgh, I've got three MWF classes and one TTh class again!
Licia! My condolences, Daichi. I'm two and two for the third term in a row

Wednesday
Licia: My birthday notice arrived this morning but I wait until night to age up.
Daichi: Happy young adult birthday, Licia! My birthday's tomorrow!
After I age up, I want to invite you out for dinner.
Licia: You're taking me somewhere?  Um, it won't be, like, a date, will it?
Daichi: Only if you want it to be…

Thursday
Licia: I have the birthday candles lit before Daichi has even left campus.
As soon as he arrives home, he blows them out.
By the way, I'm a Perfectionist Snob who's an Art Lover.
And Daichi's a Foodie Snob who's Family Oriented.
No wonder he's taking the Parenting elective again.

Licia: Daichi, my curiosity's killing me! What is this "date-but-only-if-I-want-it-to-be" outing?
Daichi: I only realized it myself when looking at your profile yesterday morning.
It happened some moment after you asked me to be BFFs but before you aged up to a young adult.
Licia:  You fell in love with me, too?  And we're Lovebirds?

Licia: But what does this mean?
Daichi: It means that after we get home tonight, we can…you know.  *waggles eyebrows
Licia: We c-c-can…? I-I-I know?
Daichi: Yes, we can finally go tutoring since we're both young adults now.
Licia: Oh. *disappointed
Daichi: Kidding!

Daichi: The Volcano Pasta doesn't appeal to you?
Licia: It's not that. I'm texting Papa to tell him you finally kissed me.
He'll be so thrilled!  Papa really likes you.
Daichi: Er, okay?

Licia: Everyone agrees that tutoring is the most tedious aspect of becoming an Academic.
Watcher read somewhere that tutoring sessions are shortest between 6 am to 9 am.
Daichi: Our first class on Friday starts at 9:30 am.
So we might be able to squeeze in a second tutoring session.

Friday
Licia: Our first tutoring sessions end at 3 am and we do a second one that ends at 8:05 am.
I tutored Painting then Writing.
Daichi: I tutored Gourmet Cooking then Gardening.
Tutoring's time-consuming but we'll def finish 5 sessions before our last term ends.

Saturday
.Daichi: I have a long day with three classes.
When I get home, I want to finish all of my homework for our last two days of the term next week.
Then, we head back to the Britechester campus, armed with moodlet solvers.
Licia: We each do three back-to-back tutoring sessions (with breaks for guzzling moodlet solvers).
Our fifth tutoring session ends at 1:30 pm.  How great to have that task behind us!

Aya: Daichi! I haven't seen you in ages! Oh, you're here, too, Licia.
Licia: Where have you been? You haven't visited us for a while. (Thank the Fates!)
Aya: I met a cutie named Deandre Holiday. You know, a descendant of Summer Holiday?
Anyway, when I got pregnant, I got kicked out of Drake Hall dorms but Deandre asked me to marry him.
I've ren-enrolled and am commuting from Willow Creek. Deandre looks after our son.
Licia: Uh, cool. Too bad you won't have time to visit us anymore. (Yeah, right!)

Licia: We'll be done with uni on Tuesday.  What are you plans, Daichi?
Daichi: My plans? I'd assumed that you and I would be making plans together.
Licia: I'd love that but I imagine you also have a dream or two for the future.
Daichi: Well, if you're not too tired to travel, there's a place I'd like to show you.

Daichi: I'm originally from Tartosa and this villa had been in the family for generations.
But my great-grandfather was forced to sell it to pay off his brother's gambling debts.
So, I wasn't raised in this villa but I would love our children to grow up here.
With the money I've made from my paintings and nectars, I can buy the house back. What do you think?

Licia: The villa is stunning and its patio looks so inviting! And do I see a pool?
Daichi: Yes. I've also had a greenhouse and small nectar cellar added.
It has three bedrooms and we could convert the garage into a nursery…
Licia: Wait, children? Nursery? Daichi, haven't you skipped an important step?

Daichi: I was just getting to that, but I wanted to show you the house--our house--first.
We were made for each other, Licia!  Will you marry me and snuggle with my snobby self for time eternal?
Licia: Yes! I don't need a big wedding but I'd like my parents to witness our exchange of vows.
Daichi: Is tomorrow too soon for that? Shall we wait until after graduation?

Licia: The house is fabulous! When can we move in?
Daichi: We only have two more days of uni. Let's finish our last term from our Britechester home.
Licia: Yes, let's! But we'll be packed and ready to move out as soon as we get our grades Tuesday evening!
Daichi: I can't wait to return to Tartosa!

Daichi: As a Family-Oriented sim, I'm very eager to start our family.
Whaddya say, sweet thing? Shall we try for a baby tonight?
Licia: You must be joking, sir!
I have no intention of attending final exams with morning sickness and back pains!
Daichi: You're right, of course. Then, how about a little…rehearsal?

Licia: Is it really okay for us to use the hot tub here?
Daichi: I'm surprised by it myself. I've spoken to the current owner but haven't…
Please stop distracting me, Licia! Let's stay focused on the task at hand.

Daichi (whispers): Licia, darling. I'm feeling somewhat insecure.
Licia: And?
Daichi: Do you think we could do one more rehearsal? Pretty please?
Licia: Most certainly not! Once was risky enough!
Daichi: I'm sure you're fine! Let's go home so you can take a test if you're worried.

Watcher: My apologies for the cheeky update! I blame Daichi who wrote all his own lines.

A gorgeous two-story, 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house built for the 40x30 Old Wood Nectary lot.
I really wanted to play my sims there, but it lacked room for a greenhouse.
So I plunked it instead on the (bulldozed) 50x40 (bulldozed) lot. We do love our extra space!
Did some editing to add a greenhouse with a nectar cellar and convert the garage into a "kinda nursery."

*Licia's personality traits: The source challenge requires the Art Lover trait.
The other two are free choice. I chose to add Art Lover on Licia's YA birthday.

*Daichi: He is such an attractive sim! All the sims around him seem to agree, lol!
Thanks again to Granny Lawlor for sharing her townie sim with me. <3
I can't wait to meet the children of Licia and Daichi!

*Small Household = Faster Gameplay: The week passes so quickly with a two-sim household!
It helps, of course, that Licia has no need to complete a difficult collection.
I tend to play large households, so I've really enjoyed playing only Licia and Daichi for a change.
Of course, this is only the lull before the storm…

Phew! Lovebirds at last and worth the wait.

Wow, 3 tutoring sessions back-to-back. That's a lot of tutoring. Was it shorter at different times? I do like getting degrees but the minimum 3 weeks is so intense.

The Tartosa house looks great. Such a lovely spot. Nooboos next episode, maybe.... :)

Haha, they had to cram in the tutoring sessions because, after Daichi's YA birthday, they only had five days until the end of the term and I them being done with school for the weekend.
I never got to thest the theory that tutoring is shortest when started between 6am-9am.
The tutoring sessions ranged from 4.5 to 5 hours each for Licia and Daichi.

It's so curious that most gallery builds fill the lot with house/patio/landscaping without leaving room for a garden.
That doesn't apply, of course, to the recent ranch builds due to the need for quality nectar ingredients.
My sims like to garden for cash crops, cooking ingredients, herbalism ingredients, nectar ingredients, Simple Living, flower arrangement, the list goes on.
Every single household I play has a garden, large or small.
Which reminds me, I never bought the Greenhouse Kit.  Did you, Judi?

Speaking of gardening, I can not wait for the new Home Chef Hustle stuff pack that comes out next week!!!!
Maybe Daichi can benefit from that stuff pack's offerings...

I haven't got the greenhouse pack either. So often I'm trying for a Tiny house so just have the roof. I can see the items look good and I'm intrigued by the plant starter if it increases plant quality or reduces germination time.

The home-cook hustle does look good. One daughter has a wood-burning pizza oven so it has to be used outside, limited by our temperate weather, lol. But the pizzas cook quickly and it's a great social thing, choosing individual toppings.

Running your own food van would be interesting. I'm very pleased that they're organising the base game meal options. I just pick something on the first set out of convenience.

LOL, I was reading along and read your "one daughter has a wood-burning pizza oven."
I thought to myself, "Oh, Judi has Home Chef Hustle already and got the pizza oven for Cherry?"  Then, I realize you were referring to your RL daughter. hehe

James Turner and DrGluon had a series called Burger Boys where they ran a food truck together using a multi-player mod with Carl's Dine Out Reloaded mod.
Carl's mod lets your sims work as the cook or waiter, choose whether to serve the customers and have them pick up their oders themselves, and much, much more.
I was planning to use Carl's Dine Out Reloaded for a later Mishmash generation, but also have high hopes for the Home Chef Hustle's vendor stall.
I hope it's not just a vertical vendor's table....

Re: Mistura Mishmash Legacy 5.34a: Practice Makes Perfect (25 Sep '23)
« Reply #309 on: September 25, 2023, 05:36:55 PM »
Hello there!
For the past seven years, I've preferred to post updates that span one sim-week each.
This week, however, so much happened  over the first four days that I've split the week im two.

5.34a: Practice Makes Perfect

Sunday, Week 34  (early winter)
Licia: Last week's big news is that Daichi finally kissed me on Thursday.
Then, he took me to his ancestral family home in Tartosa where he proposed!
This morning in Britechester, the weather's so gloomy and dismal that we've started packing.
We're ready to move!

Licia: The house is even lovelier in the daylight! By the way, we're expecting.
Daichi: Wow!
Licia: Is that all you have to say, Mr. Just-A-Little-Rehearsal?
Daichi: Um, practice makes perfect?

Licia: This house is perfect for this seaside lot.
Daichi: Yes, sunlight bathes the patio all morning! The greenhouse doesn't match the house, though.
Licia: It doesn't matter. And it has a small cellar for aging your nectars, right?
Daichi: Yes. I'm so glad we moved today o that we can start settling in.
Licia: So true! Moving between our finals and my going into labor would've been insanely chaotic.

Licia: I invite my parents and Grandpa Marcos to the wedding venue.
They'd hoped for a big wedding so I wanted them there with us today.

Licia: This is the best day of my life!
I'm glad Papa could be here. He's sitting in the front row and sniffling.
On the other hand, Grandpa and Mama are chatting throughout our exchange of vows. Rude.
I'll cut Grandpa some slack, I guess, since Grandma Izar passed away last week.

Daichi: After that, I host a Baby Shower for Licia.
I thought Tartosa Beach would make a better shower venue than our new home.
But we all arrive behind the bar and most of the guests stay there.
The other guests go off to the water slide or chess tables.

Daichi: Nobody even comes over when I shoot the Celebratory Cannon.
When I start tending bar, though, the guests finally start gathering and socializing.
We earn a gold medal for this unconventional baby shower.
But Licia is happy to see her family and that's what matters!
Licia: And I discovered this afternoon that I'm Family-Oriented like you!

Monday
Licia: My ob-gyn informs me this morning that I'll be having twin boys.
Daichi and I gave up trying to convert the garage into a nursery.
Our bedroom is large, has a fireplace, and admits lots of sunlight. This is a temporary nursery.
So Daichi and I will move to the upstairs bedroom for the next two weeks.

This is Edward Hauer, the son of my great-uncle Andoni (Grandma Izar's brother).
He lives on a small island on the other side of Tartosa.
Bet you'll never guess who his wife is!  Thanks to MCCC, he married my half-sister Dakota.

Tuesday
Licia: With an overall GPA of A+, we've each earned a Distinguished Degree with Honors.
I join the Art Critic career at Level 8, completing my Academic aspiration.
Daichi: I also join a career and complete Academic, but take a short detour.

Daichi: First, I become a Level 8 Chef, becoming a Master Chef.
After that, I join the Food Critic career at Level 8.
Licia: I love that the meals you prepare will never spoil!

Daichi: Ouch! My promotion requirement is Level 7 Writing, but I'm only Level 1.
No rush, though. I'm not required to join a career but I have a snobby image to uphold.
Licia: Did you forget my parents arrive this evening for a 5-day stayover?
You can have Mama mentor you in writing.

Licia: It's been a very long day! Oh, have you heard the story of Great-Grandpa Carlos and the onesies?
Long ago, he knitted infant onesies for his daughter (my Grandma) Izar.
She never used them but gifted them to Mama, who also never used them but gifted them to me.
Great-Grandpa Carlos is no longer with us, but I hope he sees that our twins in the onesies he knitted!

Wednesday
Licia: Last night, after photographing the twins in their onesies, we aged them up immediately.
Daichi and I both have violet eyes, and so do calm Akira and sunny Kage.
They share Daichi's hair color and complexion, but my pointy ears and freckles.
Akira and Kage are identical twins, so we're dressing Akira in brown and Kage in black.

Licia: You're here in your graduation gown!
Daichi: Yeah, I'd been worried because my pic didn't show in the Calendar's graduation event.
Turns out I had a separate prompt than you to attend the ceremony..
Licia: Are you sure this is the right place? Why are we the only one's here?
And why are you wearing high heels?

Licia: Darn it! Watcher missed the moment after the ceremony when we throw up caps in the air!
Daichi: What a surprise to see Aya (ex Darby the Dragon) in our graduating class.
Licia: How did she drop out a term to have a baby and still earn enough credits to graduate?
Daichi: I dunno. Did she marry her professor? Hey, when did I change to these bunny slippers?

Daichi: Licia is quite biased toward Kage and spoils that little charmer rotten.
In fact, she completely forgets to introduce our firstborn Akira to her parents.
Even so, Kage isn't as close to his grandparents as Akira is.
Licia and I don't agree (yet) on which son should be the next heir. She wants Kage, of course.

Daichi: Speaking of Licia's parents, they definitely aren't as helpful as previous stayover relatives.
Watcher tells me that Licia's Great-Grandpas Carlos and Aritz were the best helpers.
Licia's Grandpa Marcos was also autonomously helpful and much loved by his grandkids.
Mama Gisela and Papa Rogelio, on the other hand, prefer to take baths, cook, watch TV, and chat together.
And I swear they harvested my garden these past two days. I just need to be faster!

Licia: I just got a notice that my graduation photo and diploma arrived. What about you?
Daichi: Me, too! I'm so glad we got our graduation photos taken!
Licia: It's great to be done with my requirements but maybe I should've waited to start working.
Daichi: I feel exactly the same. Starting new jobs and raising infants at the time is hectic!

Licia: I'd expected my parents to help out more, but they rarely respond when the twins call them.
Daichi: Things will be fine, Licia! Let's age up the twins a day early on Saturday.
Licia: How lucky that we have the same "Spray graffiti for 2 hours" work-from-home task!
You know, I'm supposed to "Have some murals in our home," but there's no space!
But I have four posters I collected in San Myshuno, so I've hung them up in the garage. *shrugs

Notes
*Source Challenge: Inspired by Gen3 of Samtastic's version of the Differences in the Family Tree challenge.
It offered a nice break after the chaos of the previous heir's generation.
My edits to the source challenge's original Gen3 requirements:
*Added the Academic aspiration and completed both Painter Extraordinaire & Bestselling Author.
*Required 10 bestsellers instead of 10 novels.
*Getting a degree was optional but I required a distinguished degree.
*Added "Marry someone your sim met on campus," then arranged for Licia to meet Daichi. Oops?
*Edited the "Have some murals in your home (City Living)" requirement to include posters instead.

*Career requirement: Licia isn't required to max her career, only to join it.
But she's sure to max it before the next heir is ready to move out.``

*Casa di Fortuna: I'm contemplating replacing this build with a different Gallery lot.
Each time I load into the lot, the infants are invisible; this has never happened to me before.
This hasn't happened in previous Gallery downloads, though I'm using the same mods as before.

Congrats on graduating and twin, both gorgeous as expected and with the pointy ears  :)

I find infants are regularly half-way through walls or under things when I come in from a load screen. They are rarely where I left them. It's not a serious issue but does need tweaking.

(Btw, you've got a strike-out formatting error within the spoiler section - where you swap in posters for murals)

Obviously, I stacked the odds for white-blond hair and violet eyes. :D
But I was pleasantly surprised that both twins got pointy ears, since Daichi has normal ears!
I'm sure the white hair/violet eyes combo will only be for this generation, like Gisela/Cisco's green-eyed redhead children.
Still delightful.

Infants are definitely the hardest life stage to play now. My current gallery lot is aesthetically pleasing but not designed with raising babies/toddlers in mind.
I also find infants autonomously relocating to odd places after a loading screen, but I've never had invisible infants before.
Apparently, my sims and I can't do super-fancy houses.

Thanks for letting me know about my strikethrough formatting mistake. I also left out of the "s" in "murals." ;)

Licia and Daichi are perfect together! And of course they had adorable children.

Wow, Gen 6 already! It's unfortunate that Gisela and Rogelio weren't more helpful with the littles. Maybe that Big Happy Family provided enough caregiving to last a lifetime.

@GlazeyLady
When Daichi showed up in Granny Lawlor's Rival Dynasty Challenge, I thought he would fit perfectly as the spouse of the Gen5 heir with her requirements!
I'm quite besotted with my slightly modified Daichi (I'm sure it's not obvious at all) and can't thank @Granny Lawlor enough for her generosity!

That's a great point about Gisela and Rogelio's not being as helpful as previous stayover helpers.
By odd coincidence, Licia was pondering the reasons for that herself, haha.

So glad you've been feeling better lately.
Please tell Rose Sandoval that we miss her! I'm dying of curiousity to learn what she does next! <3

Rose will be waking up from her several-day slumber this evening. I'm sure she'll be raring to go . . . she has her man picked out, her teen requirements are completed, her birthday is tomorrow, and thanks to MCCC she should be able to age up even with the confetti drop that just happened. I'm sure she needed her sleep, but now she's ready to RUMBLE!
