2.12: Testing Positive for the Snark

Sunday, Week 12 (2nd week of winter)
Carlos: I'd been waiting to hear from Aritz about moving in with me.
But there's been a slight hitch in our plans, so I've invited him over.
For now, we're a four-sim household like last Sunday.
From the left: me (Gen2 heir), Mama Tiva, Papa Prince (founder), and my twin Sheila.

Artiz: Is that you in the rocket ship, Carlos? Will you be my boyfriend?
Carlos: Yes and yes. Thought you'd never  ask!
Aritz: Also, I've thought things over and I'm ready to move in today!
Carlos: About that, please wait until I return to Earth so we can talk. I won't be long.

Carlos: So, you see, I need to defeat you in seven magic duels before we can be engaged.
Aritz: Um, did I miss the part where you propose to me?
Carlos: Listen, if we live together, we're one step away from being engaged, right? I'm not playing around, Aritz.
So, I'm really sorry, but get ready for some dueling before I ask you to move in.
Aritz: Alright, let's start. Hey, I won the second duel!

Aritz: So far, you've won five duels and I've won two!
Carlos: Yeah, but you're sparking. Aren't you overcharged?  Should we continue tomorrow?
Aritz: I don't know why sparks are flying, but I wanna continue.
I already brought all my stuff and I'm staying, even if I have to camp in your yard!

Carlos: It's dark by the time I win my seventh duel against Aritz.
We'll be young adults in a week, so asking him to move in isn't enough for me.
I can't imagine a more ideal partner for me than Aritz, so I get down on one knee.
And now I can ask my fiance Aritz to move in.

Monday
Sheila and Aritz attend school today, but I'm taking a vacation day.
I tend my garden then go on non-stop space missions (like I've been doing for days).
Around 2 pm, I finally get a UFO seed as the prize for winning a Space Race!
Phew! What if it'd taken me weeks to get that UFO seed?

Aritz: When I'm better at gardening, may I help with your flower garden?
Carlos: Nah, I need to tend my flower garden myself until they're perfect quality.
Aritz: Then why'd you suggest I learn gardening?
Carlos: Once we move, we can also grow cooking ingredients. You'll like that, won't you?

Aritz: What's so important about a trash pile that you'd make a room for it?
Carlos: My garden collection is only missing a trash fruit.
I'm waiting for that trash pile to sprout so I can plant it in the garden.
Aritz: Oh yeah! If I saw that trash pile lying around, I woulda definitely thrown it away!
Carlos: I know, right?  Me, too!

Tuesday
Sheila: This is Jack Stinson from Tartosa.  He's a genius perfectionist.
Carlos met him at Prom last Saturday and thought he and I might hit it off.
Carlos and Aritz are deeply in love and adore each other.
But Jack and I only feel deeply connected.  I guess a strong relationship takes time?

Carlos: Last week, Papa left the Dinky Beats label to sign up with the New Tastemakers.
But this week, he hasn't felt like mixing and releasing new tracks, so he got dropped.
Papa earns $41,636 for working four seven-hour days a week. He doesn't need to work more than that!
I'm really grateful that Papa's making time to mentor Aritz.

Sheila: This Saturday's my last chance to attend prom, so I craft a Promposal Sign.
Can you believe Jack's lukewarm response?!
Should I give him until Friday to ask me to be BFFs or his girlfriend?
I have a major crush on him, but he doesn't seem that into me.

I heard from Colby that Mama got into the hot tub with his boyfriend last week.
Can't she see that Jack and I are hiding so we can have a private convo?
And it's not like she came to chat with me, her daughter. She's come looking for JACK!
Ugh, she's so annoying!!

Wednesday
Carlos: Hey, congrats on your A grade today!
Aritz: Yeah, it took me 3 days but I was working on Scouts and other stuff, too!
Carlos: Sweet! Wanna take the day off tomorrow and go on a lunch date?
Aritz: Let's do it! But we should finish studying for Friday's exams first, just to be safe.

Sheila: Jack surprises me this evening by asking me on a date.
But to Studio PBP!?  Just as I'd thought!
We both have zero fame, so the bouncer won't let us inside.

Jack: Thanks for being a sport about our failed date!
I wanted to impress you with a date to that celebrity lounge, since your dad's a superstar.
Sheila: Haha, I'd never been there either. Now I know why Papa never took me there.
(to herself): Go on, baby boy. You can do it! Ask me to be your BFF or your girlfriend!

Thursday
Carlos: Aritz and I have been hard at work this week, so we both deserve the day off from school.
Recently, I've been learning to craft flower arrangements.
It's so satisfying to create healing beauty from flowers grown in my own garden!

Stranger: Good morning, young man. Do you have a moment?
Carlos: Sorry, mister, but this block is strictly a no-pimp zone.
Stranger: Bbbuttt...I need to ask your father about moneymaking opportunities.
Carlos: Oh puhleeze! Go away and take your tawdry business with you!  Shoo, shoo!

Aritz: What a beautiful place! I'm glad we came here for lunch instead of brunch!
Carlos: Yeah, I hope the cuisine is as good as the scenery!
Aritz: Hey, I want to talk about you smack-talking that old dude this morning.
Carlos: Not sure what came over me. Guess I'm testing positive for the Snark today.

Aritz: Oh, Carlos! Stop comparing yourself to your father. He's an entertainer; you're a healer.
On stage, Prince is the flamboyant Mr. Bling. Wherever you are, you're the laid-back Mr. Bong.
Carlos:  The laid-back Mr. wut? Did you forget this is a family-friendly zone?
Aritz: Just be yourself, Carlos. Folks won't find you boring just cuz you're not glamorous like your father.

Friday
Carlos: At 5 am this morning, I harvest a single trash fruit and complete my garden collection.
Watcher says she's never actually paid attention to a trash plant's growth process, so I paid attention.
My trash pile sprouted after 48 hours, then produced a harvestable trash fruit 32 hours later.

Also, thanks to my Super Green Thumb trait, my flowers have all evolved to Perfect quality, too.

When Aritiz moved in, I was so happy to learn he's an aspiring Master Chef.
Tonight, he's hosting a dinner party as part of his culinary journey.
He's such a perfect match for a homebody like me.
Imagine if I'd chosen the archaeology scholar Wizzo! He'd be constantly dragging me to Selvadorada!

Saturday
We decide to age up this morning instead of waiting until tomorrow.
Sheila ages up her boyfriend then herself. By coincidence, they both get the Active trait.
Aritz is a Good Foodie who's a Bookworm. I'm a Socially Awkward Bookworm who's a Loner.
Aritz and I graduate with Honors but, get this, the constantly-tardy Sheila is Valedictorian.
Did she get that from being the first of us to age up?  Such a mystery!

Sheila gives up on Jack ever asking her, so she pops two questions.
First, she asks him to be her boyfriend, and then she proposes.
Right after she proposes, Jack asks about moving in together.
He sure can't pick a date spot, but I guess his heart's in the right place.

Aritz and I want a small, quiet wedding, so the whole household travels to Tartosa.
The two of us decide to exchange vows at the outdoor wedding arch.
Aaah, today marks the start of our perfect life together!
We'll need to pack up our things to prepare for moving.

I shoulda known that rumors of our wedding would leak!
Paparazzi ignore Aritz and I to snap photos of Papa.
Meanwhile, Papa's obsessive fans are screaming and swooning in the aisle.

I'd wanted Papa to move with us to help raise our child as a toddler.
Now I'm not so sure that'd be a good idea. Would the paparazzi follow him to our mountain cottage?

Sheila and Jack's wedding is a peaceful, sedate affair.
Only because we locked the chapel doors to everyone except our family club's members.
Sheila works fast! She already took a pregnancy test to confirm she's eating for two.

Well, when next we meet, Aritz and I will have moved to our new home!
Before then, we have many decisions to make.
Should we have a child right away? How many children do we want?
Do I take all my garden plants with me, or just the perfect seeds?
We already have a cottage picked out and can't wait to show it to you!

Progress: End of Week 12

Notes
*High School Principal: I'd forgotten all about Prom cancelling if the Principal is dead.
The teens just happened to attend school actively on Friday and found a new principal.
MCCC shows Principal Harada as a Day 0 Elder, so she must have spawned right when the teens arrived at school.

*Off-the-grid tea brewer: My Wedding Stories comes with two off-the-grid tea sets.
The Buy Mode's OTG category includes them both (Double Happiness Tea Set & Spot of Tea, Tea Set).
The category doesn't include the Tea Magic Personal Brewer, though it has no Power Consumption rating.
Sadly, the MWS tea sets don't count toward a goaled Dinner Party's "Make coffee or tea" task. Phooey!

*Jack Stinson: Jack will only be a watched sim for a single day, haha.
But he asked about moving in together so nicely, that I moved him in a day early on Saturday.
It did make getting pregnant and married somewhat easier for Sheila.

*Three-week seasons: I switched to three-week seasons at the end of the first four-week spring season.
To keep the weeks in multiples of three, therefore, this winter will only last two weeks for a 12-week year.

Ah - lovely weddings. I do like the Tartosa venue apart from its lack of a kitchen.. I also like Sheila's sticking to a low-key outfit. It's the marriage that's important,  not an expensive wedding.

You said "by chance" - are you still using Pinstar’s generator or the in-game randomizer?

I was a bit worried that Carlos' requirement was to magically kill a love interest but I guess the requirement has that element of danger deliberately. A tricky one. Well done for managing it. One of my Spellcaster gens will combine floral arrangements with their magic so it's fun to see how Carlos gets on  :)

Mr. Bling and Mr. Bong - haha, what an interesting way to put it. Very fitting. So much for Carlos and Aritz's low key wedding. Those paparazzi were not exactly subtle!

Oh good gracious!!  That paparazzo standing next to the happy couple under the arch during the smooch to snap a picture of Prince?  Yeah, I could have seen that happening in real life to Prince's namesake.  Your Prince is, officially and unequivocably, a superstar.
So happy for Carlos and Aritz (Caritz is my humble suggestion for a ship name) and excited to see them start their life together!!

Both couples simply clicked a wedding arch and selected "Get married to x."
I didn't want them to just elope but didn't have the energy for a social-event wedding party.
I also like that wedding venue, but I usually opt for an indoor wedding and remove the outdoor arch.
I'm fine without a kitchen there; I've added one of those round buffet tables.
My sims either bring their own food to stock the table or click the table for Normal quality food.

No trait generator for Carlos and Sheila's third trait.  As heir, Carlos has three required personality traits.
They both started with Bookworm until I could choose between them.
I rolled Sheila's second trait but gave her Active as her third trait to match her Wanderer quirk as a toddler.
She'd caked up her boyfriend Jack before moving him in.  "By chance," he got the Active trait, too.
So she's Bookworm, Perfectionist, Active, and he's Genius, Perfectionist, Active.
Actually, due to some of the story-related requirements, Pinstar's trait generator won't always be feasible.

Carlos didn't need to win all seven duels in one day but his Watcher was impatient. (That's a requirement I added to Gen2.)
When I started that week, I suddenly wanted Carlos to complete the dueling requirement before moving Aritz in, not just before proposing.
The safe path would've been to stop dueling for the day when Aritz started looking overcharged.

Yeah, the emojis are tricky that way. It doesn't help that they don't show up in Preview mode but only after we click Post.

Mr. Bling and Mr. Bong - haha, what an interesting way to put it. Very fitting. So much for Carlos and Aritz's low key wedding. Those paparazzi were not exactly subtle!
Carlos and I have been worried that y'all would find his generation boring after all of Prince's fanfare.
Haha, I was also shocked at how invasive Prince's followers were!

I honestly didn't anticipate that Caritz's exchange of vows would turn into such a circus!
And they thank you for their ship name!

2.13: Anything He Wants

Sunday, Week 13 (1st week of spring)
Carlos: So much happened last week! Aritz and I got married at Coppia de la Serena in Tartosa.
Papa felt so bad about ruining our exchange of vows that he's since got a Celebrity Cleansing.
After tying the knot, Aritz and I tried for baby and I enter my second trimester later this afternoon.

Everyone helped us with our move to Glimmerbrook then returned to DSV, leaving only the two of us.

The cold weather quite shocks us following Del Sol Valley's warm climate.
But we cherish the secluded vibe of our small mountain cottage.

Our 64-tile cottage feels cramped, but we can't really move the kitchen outdoors in this weather!
The octagonal tower is no doubt an inefficient use of space, but adds much to the magical mood.
The solarium on the right will eventually become a nursery.
Are you wondering what that big thing is on the left of the house?

Why, it's an honest-to-goodness, functioning water wheel!
Generating hydro power, the water wheel presents a real boon to our off-the-gird lifestyle.
Oi, Aritz! Let's not forget to buy some solar panels and water collectors, too!

No, this spacious room isn't part of our home.
We've come to Elixirs & Brews to try for two silver-medal dates.
I get overwhelmed by too many strangers, though, so we go home after the first date.

Monday
Carlos: I've waited until morning to surprise you with this ultrasound scan I got last night while you were at work.
My ob/gyn says we're having twins, mostly likely a boy and a girl.
Aritz: And I have a surprise for you, too, Carlos.  A baby shower!
My former roomies in Strangerville have offered to host it at their house.

Carlos: I'm surrounded by familiar faces…my parents, siblings, in-laws and my Strangerville homies.
Oddly, I don't see the Strangerville casters among the other guests.

Magdelena: I was so sure that Carlos would choose you or me as his partner!
Wizzo: Who cares? Now you and me are free to start our own family! Feel like woohoo?
Magdelena: During the baby shower?  You're kinda quirky. I like it!

Aritz: I find the Celebration Cannon for the baby shower on the front lawn.  Why outdoors?
I move the cannon indoors and shoot it.  Oops!
No worries, folks. I got the fire under control!

Carlos: Some of the guests have given me children's toy as baby shower gifts.
Except for Aritz, we've all run outside to escape the fire.
I try to give my twin Sheila a baby shower gift, but I can't.
Aritz tried to choose her as one of the shower's expecting parents, but he couldn't, either.

Tuesday
In the evening, I go into labor.
Aritz joins me at the hospital where I give birth to boy/girl twins.
Just like the ultrasound scan predicted!

This is the adorable bassinet we received as a prize for yesterday's gold-medal Baby Shower.
And here's our daughter, wearing one of the two baby onesies I knitted for the twins.
The twins spend less than an hour lying in those bassinets wearing their hand-knitted onesies. *sighs
Why couldn't I knit infant onesies?

Aritz's name comes from the Basque work for oak.
To honor his heritage, we choose Basque names for our twins.
Andoni (an-DO-ni) is the Basque form of the ancient Roman name Anthony.
Maite (MY-teh) is a feminine name of Basque origin meaning "lovable."

Wednesday
Aritz: Living off the grid is much easier than I'd imagined.
Carlos: We live on a Geothermal lot with a Natural Well, which really helps.
Aritz: We could probably embrace Simple Living as well. What do you think?
Carlos: Nah, let's not make our life any harder than it needs to be.

Artiz: Andoni shares my bluish-gray eyes.
Carlos:  Yes, and Maite inherited my violet eyes!
Aritz: You know, I would really like to experience being pregnant, too.
Carlos: But do we have the skills and energy to raise three children well?
Not to mention how small our house is!

Thursday
Anything he wants! I can deny nothing to my beloved Aritz.
That's how I get talked into another addition to our household.
Our home is already bursting at the seams!
Still, I can't wait to meet Aritz's baby!

Carlos: Andoni (here) and Maite aren't fussy babies and have been easy to raise.
Aritz and I haven't done well with their milestones, but we're fine with that.
The most important thing is that our children feel all our love and care.

Carlos: Every single room in our little cottage feels narrow and cramped.
Aritiz: We are doing the best we can, Carlos. Look how much the twins love the fireplace!
Carlos: Once our kids are no longer toddlers, we're definitely expanding this house!
Aritz: Thank the Fates!

Friday
I'm a Level 6 Stem Cutter in the Floral Designer career.  I positively love my job!
I always work from home, crafting flower arrangements using flowers from my garden.
As a recluse, I have no interest in selling from a vendor table or from a shop.
All my flower arrangements are scented with bluebell (so they never wilt) then sold via Plopsy.

Aritz has been off the past three days, but he resumes work today.
He enters his second trimester later this afternoon and gives birth on Sunday afternoon.
We should let the twins age up naturally so all three kids will be closer in age.

The twins can now eat Baby Foods and Finger Foods, so I try feeding them Baby Foods this evening.
Have I told you about their infant quirks yet?
Andoni: Frequently Hiccups, Hates Being Held, and Messy Eater
Maite: Frequently Sneezes, Self-Soother, and Hates Wakeup Time

Saturday
Aritz heads to work, leaving me alone to look after the infants.
Luckily for me, the twins are taking turns sleeping and being awake.
So I only have to take care of one at a time.
Look how adorable Andoni is!

I breathe a sigh of relief when Aritz returns home from work.
Aritz became Family-Oriented soon after the twins' birth and became Perfectionist at work tonight.
Since moving here, I've only gained the Creative trait.
I interact with the twins more than Aritz and wish I could become Family-Oriented, too.

*Creek Corner Cove (30x20): "Creek Corner Cove" by MirnaLynn. I placed this 4bd/4bth house in Strangerville.

Notes
*Emotional moods: I struggle to get my sims out of the Confident or Romantic mood.
Sims I've raised from children constantly feel confident due to the new Growing Together traits.
Also, the sentiment system push sims in a romantic relationship push sims into feeling Very Flirty.
The best option for Inspired mood is the Inspired Potion from the Reward Store (200 satisfaction).
--Inspired potion from reward store: +100 Inspired/3 hours
--Museberry (Jungle Adventure): +3 Inspired/4 hrs
--Suggest Visualization Techniques (Spa Day): +2 Inspired/4 hrs
    Anyone else struggling with this?

*Baby shower: This was my very first baby shower in the sims. If only the event rewards were nicer!
The bassinet is cute and comes in many swatches, but the hospital provides bassinets for free.
For a couple just starting out, a crib and a wabby tablet wouldn't been better more useful as gold-medal rewards.
Yeah, yeah, I'm never satisfied. haha.

*What happened to toddler onesies?: It seems Carlos can only knit onesies for newborns now.
Why would anysim bother knitting a onesies for a newborn that ages into an infant after 24 hours?
Am I mistaken? Carlos only sees the option to craft "baby onesies," but not toddler onesies. Wah, wah, wah.

That wizard house is amazing!!!  Fantabulous job on the building!!!  Narrow rooms?  Psh, as if you aren't enjoying that tiny house bonus, Carlos!
The twins are adorable!  Maite has the purple eyes, so I'm guessing she's your early leader for next heir  ;=)
The happy couple sure did have a lot of activity and changes, but it's sweet how consistently and wonderfully happy and in love they are  :=)
Looking forward to seeing the third (and fourth?  And fifth?) potential heir!

Oh, wow! What a great house for Carlos and Aritz. Love the tower, and the water wheel, and the well! Looking forward to the results of Aritz's pregnancy.

As for trouble with inspiration, I tend to rely on emotional aura's from decor more than anything. Aritz's is doing well in the cooking career, so you've got some stuff with auras there. Thoughtful  showers are good. Hm . . . Ah! Did you give Carlos some of his father's celebuserums? Or do you not allow goodies like that to be passed from generation to generation?

It took a while to come up with that cottage design, but I'm happy that it's suitably atmospheric for a wizard's abode.
I'm not sure if a tiny home's skill gain boost works for infants, but we know it's a killer bonus for toddlers!
Yeah, Caritz are such lovebirds but they're great parents, too!
Yeah, I assumed Maite was a shoo-in, but then Aritz gave birth.

The turning waterwheel on the left and the well on the right are both  from liveeditobjects.

As for celebrity serums, Caritz can only move out with the things they crafted, grew/harvested from scratch, or earned themselves.
Not that Caritz has the room now, but it was sad leaving the piano and guitar that Prince earned as career rewards.
Even while playing Prince's household, I never used those serums much--they occasionally result in a negative mood afterwards so I prefer other options.
My go-to are the Inspired plumbob lamps which, obviously, don't work with OtG living.

Aritz is unaffected, since he doesn't have the High Self-Esteem trait.
I was trying to get Carlos to "Knit 3 items while inspired," and nothing worked--Brain Boosting Yoga with incense or Thoughtful Shower.
Those sepia paintings that are Painter career rewards weren't helping, either.  I just couldn't override his Confident mood!
He didn't try Cloud/Star/Moongazing because I ran out of patience with his Confident mood and bought him the Inspired potion, hah!

If I weren't playing OtG, the Plumbob inspired lamps + incense usually does the trick.
Haha, I'm such a wimp when it comes to living off the grid! That's precisely why I wanted to add that to my Mishmash Legacy.
But I'm here whining, anyway. LOL!

What about making a club for your family and purchasing the inspired mood club reward?
I sometimes do that for the children's "Do Homework While Focused" and "Draw Two Pictures While Inspired" tasks but the Plumbob lamps _ incense are usually enough.
I'm mostly just whining about how the devs have gone overboard with the High Self-Esteem trait, which is only a problem for teens and older
It's a useless addition and I hate it! Overcoming its Confident moodlet shouldn't require so much work! *sprouts devil horns

For Aritz, it doesn't matter whether he's Inspired at work or not.
The devs removed the work-related mood requirement several years ago. Our sims only need to be in a "positive" moodj, not s specific emotional mood. :D

Also, I keep forgetting to try for the Paranormal Candy Jar. Have you tried it, Rhoxi?

2.14: Hating the High Chairs

Sunday, Week 14 (2nd week of spring)
Carlos: I gave birth to Andoni and Maite last Tuesday, but we ignore their birthday notices today.
Aritz leaves for work in the afternoon, briefly returns to give birth, then heads back to work.
He names our newest daughter "Izar," which is the Basque word for "star."
Here's Aritz holding Andoni, Izar on the floor, and me holding Maite.

The very first time I interact with Izar, I become Family Oriented. At last!
You know, we'd thought Maite had the heirdom in the bag, but Izar has violet eyes AND pointy ears…

Though Andoni remains sleeping, Maite wakes up hungry.
After several failed attempts to feed her, I give up and hire a nanny.

Ever since the twins began eating in the high chair, it takes much longer to fill their hunger.
They take hours to finish a serving of Finger Foods, yet they're still hungry.
Maybe it's better to stick with Baby Foods.
By the time the nanny finally gets Maite fed, Maite's energy has dropped into the red zone.

Monday
Izar is such a pretty baby!
Aritz takes today off from his Chef job, giving him four consecutive vacation days in a row.
Two caregivers raising three infants is no walk in the park.
It's time, I believe, to invite Papa Prince for a stayover!

It's been warm since morning, so we move the fireplace onto the patio.
No way we can teach three kids in our teeny-tiny living room!
Is it just wishful thinking or does Izar seem to be learning faster than the twins did?

Maite (left) fusses in the high chair without eating a bite.
Two hours later, she's exhausted and starving so I must use Super Efficient Baby Care to feed her.
We repeated this same pattern for Maite's last meal time. Why won't she eat?
In contrast, Andoni (right) is easy to please today! He simply asks for a bottle.

Just when I begin wondering when the twins would age up, Andoni spontaneously ages up first.
They gain toddler traits that reflect their infant traits.
The calm Andoni becomes a Charmer.  Such a laid-back kiddo!
The sensitive Maite becomes independent. What an angry, defiant little thing!

Tuesday
Aritz: My father-in-law Prince shows up with his suitcase in the early morning.
Andoni shares the loves and becomes friends with Grandpa right away.
I'm able to introduce Izar to her Grandpa and they're already nearly friends.
Not being a Charmer nor being introduced, Maite only gets a "Meet Prince" interaction initially.

The expert cook in our family is, of course, Aritz.
But I prepare canned Meat Substitute whenever I have a spare moment.
We have more soybeans than we know what to do with, plus Aritz and I are vegetarians.

Carlos: Today is the Eggfest but we somehow miss a visit from the Flower Bunny.
Is it because our cottage is too remote?
We spend a few hours at Desert Bloom Park so the twins can hunt for decorative eggs.
We all enjoy the warm, sunny weather!

Carlos: Papa wouldn't change diapers or bathe Izar when he first arrived.
Aritz and I were a little worried that Papa's stayover was a bad idea.
Maite and Papa Prince have only a small sliver of a relationship, just a step or two above acquaintances.
But when Maite asks him for help with potty, he's happy to teach her what's what.

Wednesday
I wait until the middle of the night when the kids are all asleep to Invoke the Dead, as Heart Foam instructed.
The first time, I mistakenly communicate with the specter who, of course, leaves right away.
My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th times summon one, two, and three specters.
I'm gifted many candles and two Ectocakes, but no Candy Jar. That's enough for tonight.

By Wednesday evening, Andoni has maxed all his skills.  He can free range from now on.
Here, Aritz patiently listens while Maite repeatedly "asks why."
After this, she has only one level left in Movement.
She'll be done tomorrow morning for sure.

Thursday
Carlos: I hope you don't mind more toddler spam, but the twins are so cute!
We're aiming to age up our youngest, Izar, together with the twins.
The big question is: how soon can Izar age up and still become a Top-Notch Infant?

Papa and Artiz are at work and the twins are sleeping, so it's just Izar and me.
Izar learns very quickly and she tires even quicker.
I swear, she seems to spend more time asleep than awake.

Today's the third day of Papa Prince's stayover and he's been so helpful.
Whenever the kids ask him for help, he's always willing.  And he keeps the house clean, too.
Yesterday, he and I built a treehouse.  Today, Aritz upgraded the treehouse's lighting.
Aritz becomes a Master Chef this evening and can't decide: should he stay in the career or not?

Friday
Aritz and I have been so busy with the kids that I didn't notice Papa's been feeling Very Sad.
I console him about the death then, due to my Compassion, am able to calm his emotions.
Yes, that strange orange beam is me calming Papa. Thankfully, it works!

By late morning, Izar has 14 skill-related milestones.
When the twins aged up, Andoni had 15 and Maite had 14.
Izar's birthday comes later today, though, so there's no use aging her up early.

I reach Level 9 of my Floral Designer career today.
As a social recluse, I love being able to always work from home.
I'm making $107/hr as a Highflier versus the non-Highflier wage of $75/hr.
Obviously, Papa Prince got a larger wage boost due to his fame perks.

We receive Izar's birthday celebration notice in the evening.
She ages up with the Top-Notch Infant trait and Level 2 Thinking.
How many Gross Motor and Social milestones did she need for L2 Movement and Communication?
Andoni earned five Social milestones and that wasn't enough for L2 Comm.  Hmmmm….

Oh yeah, the best thing about Izar aging up?  We got rid of the high chairs!

Saturday
Izar's off to a great start with her toddler skills!
She'll definitely max them all by tomorrow afternoon.
Aritz has decided to max his Chef career and then become a stay-at-home dad.
Why is Aritz glowing magenta?  That's totally my fault for invoking the dead!

I'm feeling ready to give up on that Paranormal Candy Jar.
All week, I've been invoking the dead for several hours every day (or night).
Today, more ghosts showed up than specters.
Aritz and I have been Never Weary since high school, but we really want to check out that Candy Jar.

We've been focused on Izar since her birth and letting the twins do as they please.
Andoni and Maite have been craving attention lately.
Aritz reads to them both at the same time, so I can finish up with the specters.

As for Artiz and me, we're still going strong!
We both love to be shown affection.
Luckily for us, we're both affectionate sims, at least to each other.
It's a perfect life.  Well, except, for that elusive Candy Jar.

Notes
*Keepsake Boxes: I'm interested in this new feature, but not for this challenge.
My heirs typically move when they're a YA or teen, so I'm never playing elders.
  Maybe in the next challenge?

*Infant stats: I'm trying to figure out how the infant milestones work.
That's why I'm tracking how many each infant gets and how it affects their aging up.
When Graham, Carlos, and Sheila became toddlers, they all earned one L2 skill and some L1 skills.
Andoni & Sheila only got L2 Thinking, though they also had L1 Movement and Communication.
I'm assuming the game has changed to only show L2 toddler skills on age-up.

*Fitness skill from cleaning: Is a mod causing my sims' Fitness skill to glitch?
The teen and older sims gain Fitness from emptying the diaper pail and cleaning potties.
This only started happening since I started playing the GroTo expansion. Is it just me?

*Prince's stayover: This was my first experience with the GroTo pack's new stayover feature.
We only wanted to invite Prince for a 3-day stayover, but the minimum is 5 days.
Maite started out with the lowest relationship with Prince, but ended up closer to him than to her Papa Aritz.
Having only one sim for the stayover was just right.

Aww, the kids are all so cute!!!  I love how you catered Izar's hairstyle to showing off her pointy ears  ;=)
Grandpa Prince coming for a visit was delightful!  He did such an incredible job getting this challenge started and it's so nice to see him as a proud Grandpa just enjoying time with the little ones, and I'm not saying he has a favorite grandchild, but he does and it's Maite.  Maybe she can just move in with grandpa when Izar is getting ready to head off to do heiress things?
Loved the zoomed out shot of the house with the tree house.  Again, you did such an incredible job on that build!!
