Great find on the purple ruffle shirt! Very fitting. I was able to do Admired Icon with Kalanea, but I think you have to post about what your sim is doing a lot. Ie: I'm stressed about my homework! I feel confident after my extra curricular activity! etc etc. in addition to DM's and responses to DMs. It's kind of annoying because you have to post pretty quickly after you do the "social bunny worthy" activity or the option goes away. Prince has to talk to a responsible adult, hm? Now I wonder who that would be! :P

Yes, I love that ruffled-bib shirt and was so happy to find that it had a purple swatch!  :D
Prince was constantly posting about his "post-worthy" activities, like work, homework, club meetings, and so forth.
I'd completed with a Gen11 teen (Buddy) in my NSB who spent nowhere near as much time doing such posts as Prince did.
It's fine. Prince completed Goal Oriented which will probably be more useful to him in the long run.

Haha, yes, whoever could that responsible adult be?

Mistura Mishmash Legacy 1.3x: Baby, You're Much Too Fast (19 May)
« Reply #62 on: May 19, 2023, 09:57:45 PM »
1.3x: Baby, You're Much Too Fast

I guess I should've known
By the way you parked your car sideways
That it wouldn't last.
See, you're the kinda person that believes in makin' out once
Love 'em and leave 'em fast
But it was Saturday night, I guess that makes it all right.
And you say, "What have I got to lose?"

And I say, Little Red Corvette
Baby, you're much too fast
Little Red Corvette
You need a love that's gonna last

      Prince, "Little Red Corvette" (1985)

In a mystical alternative simverse where time stands still
Marlon: So, you're going to seek guidance from a responsible adult?
Prince: Yeah. In fact, there might actually be two of them.  Or not.

Prince: We've arrived!
Marlon: Isn't this where Jasmine Ward lives?
Prince: Same lot but a different mansion, because this is apparently an alternative simverse.
Watcher's checking out the majestic mansion of the oh-so-talented Heart Foam.
So, for now, this is where she lives in this simverse.

Meanwhile, in the mansion's living area
oshizu: So that toon on your left is The Bard and he's your fave Skyrim toon these days, right?
Pippin: Yep, he plays the lute and, in combat, gives support buffs to his followers rather than fighting.
oshizu: Well, I was gonna play Skyrim, too, but none of the races are Asian. You know how I like to represent!
Pippin: For a beginner, I'd recommend the Altmer race. I bet you'll love playing as a high elf mage!
That woman on the right belongs to the Altmer race and…

oshizu: See, this is what I told my Best Buy homie when he suggested Skyrim to me years ago.
Not only does Skyrim ignore my race, its characters aren't cute!
Compare that with, for example, Shop Titans.
Yep, that's me in the lavender spacesuit with sunglasses, standing next to Glazey in her pink spacesuit.
The blue-haired merchant further left of Glazey is Shannon!  Aren't we positively adorable?
Pippin: Hmmm, I guess.  But can your merchant play the lute? Huh, can she? I bet she can't!

Marlon: I can hear voices inside but your Watcher can't hear you knocking.  Maybe knock louder?
Prince (shouts): Yo, I  know you're in there, Watcher! It's me, Prince, with my wingbro Marlon!

Pippin: You won the first round of Party Frenzy by sheer luck, oshizu, but I'm slaughtering you this round!
oshizu: Sez who?
Marlon (whispers): Uh, Prince? Please tell me these aren't the "responsible adults" you mentioned.
Prince: Yep, that's my Watcher with the black hair and the dude is her sidekick and my Co-Watcher.

oshizu: Hey, we can't stop in the middle of a session, boys! Sit down and have some pizza!
Pippin: And know that we both maintain a responsible work/life/play balance! Mostly…

Prince: I could really use some advice, Watchers! *explains his delicate situation
oshizu: So, your very first woohoo, you got your older girlfriend pregnant. And?
Pippin: You have a crush on Jasmine and adore her.  Just propose! If you ask me… *stands up
If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, o-ohh

Prince: Um, Mr. Watcher, tell me that's not you in the center where Beyonce should be!
Pippin: You fellas wanna try the choreo with me? I have extra leotards and come-hither stilletos!
Prince: Er, no thanks. We're still out of breath from walking up the hill. Ain't that right, Marlon?
Marlon (speechless): *nods in agreement

Prince: It's not only about how I feel about Jasmine. I do love her.
I want to marry Jasmine and raise our child together, but I'm scared of her past.
Pippin: Huh? You say  she has "history"?
Prince: I guess you've never read her biography.  *hands over a sheet of paper
Jasmine's much too fast. She invited me over Thursday night, then acted as if woohoo'ing was my idea!
So, pay special attention to the last part of her biography.

Marlon: Does Jasmine's history mean she'll eventually dump Prince, too?
Prince: But she's never had a child before, so that might make a difference, you know?
Pippin: All Prince needs to do is spoil her rotten and she will never let Prince go.
oshizu: Here's what I think, Prince. Just in case, keep separate track of your finances.
You could deposit your earnings in a Vault and contribute to household funds for shared expenses, like rent and family purchases.
Prince: I could do that!

Pippin: So, is it decided? You'll propose to Jasmine then move in with her before the baby arrives?
Prince: I can't really see her wanting to move into my little house in Mirage Park, can you?
And one more thing, Mr. Watcher…
Pippin: Please call me Pippin. oshizu and I DO have total control over your life, but let's be informal.
Prince: Thank you, Pippin. Would you mind not making your Beyonce face while we're talking seriously?
Pippin: Um, sure?

oshizu: All right, folks!  Prince's problems are solved!
Now, who's up for some pizza and a round of Party Frenzy?

Prince: I didn't think Marlon and I would lose to you old...I mean, to you Watchers!  I think Marlon and I should be heading home.
Pippin: Before you go, let's take a short tour of this mansion.
First of all, look at the fabulous view from the back of the house!
oshizu: It was built for Newcrest's Twin Oracle Point, but its back area flows seamlessly into this lot's off-the-lot scenic seating area.
I hope Heart Foam doesn't kill me for fencing in the yard to keep out paparazzi and other unwelcome sims.

Prince: Look! There's a sunken pool area that's accessible from both the backyard and the basement floor!
oshizu: Oh, it looks like a pool but it's actually a hot springs! How cool is that?
Pippin: Oh yeah, looks like those basement arches were imported all the way from Selvadorada!
Marlon: Hey, there's a pool beyond those arches on the basement floor, people!
After you move here, Prince, you're gonna invite me and the gals over, right?

Pippin: The stunning kitchen's so chic and modern with its mirrored splashback!
Prince: I haven't had time to learn gourmet cooking, but I really want to learn.
I'm gonna be cooking up a storm in this kitchen someday soon! Well in the kitchen in my alternate simverse.

oshizu: Normally, I would share a floor plan but I didn’t ask Heart Foam's permission in advance.
So I hope he doesn't mind that I simply share some of my favorite areas of the mansion.
This solarium is the loveliest room in the house!
After you move, Prince, you can explore the mansion to your heart's content.
Prince: It's a marvelous, marvelous mansion!  And thanks for the advice, Watchers!  Marlon and I will be going now!
Pippin: Don't be a stranger, Prince!

On the way home...
Marlon: Thanks for inviting me along to meet your Watchers, Prince. They're a bit quirky, aren't they?
Prince: Yeah, they're oddballs for sure but they're good people.
Marlon: You know, I'd been worried about aging up and becoming a grown-up.
But after meeting your Watchers, I can't wait to blow out my birthday candles and become a responsible adult!

Gallery Downloads
*The Ward Den (50x40): "Twin Oracle Point" by Heart Foam (EA ID: The_Mikado).
This amazing build has a nursery on the ground floor, where it belongs.
It has 7 bedrooms (incl. nursery), 7 bathrooms, and 2 half-bathrooms.  (Hello, butler!)
After downloading/playtesting over a dozen gallery builds for The Ward Den lot, my search is finally over!

Notes
*Heart Foam's fabulous mansion: It's fully kitted-out and pre-played, which I've only slightly edited.
I deleted any items in the house that would give Prince/Jasmine an unfair advantage in gameplay.
They included career-unlock items and stuff the couple should purchase themselves, like kid's stuff.
Gone are the eight Perfect money trees and the Cloning Machine from the Scientist career.  *sobs

*Pippin's song: Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) by Beyonce, released in 2008. Y'all saw the music video, didn't you?
Did you recognize Pippin in the wig right away?

*Jasmine's biography: The text is straight from the household description in Manage Households.
When copying the text, I obviously replaced every mention of "Judith" with "Jasmine."

Ah - the vault - such a comfy place to - you know - get friendly...

I'm not sure I'll ever be a responsible adult but you and Pippin are knocking it out of the park! An excellent work/life/fun balance with Beyonce & pizza.

You've made-over Jasmine/Judith but that's only skin deep. Protecting Prince's assets is all well and good but I'm concerned for his heart. He's all cool on the outside but oh so sensitive on the inside. Incidentally, Judiths in fiction are almost always boring or Machiavellian. Even the heroic one in the full bible seduced the enemy commander and then killed him once they were alone, thus saving her people. Just saying...

:) wow, that's familiar. pfft, you don't need to ask permission. I'm just a viewer now. And fence away. One of my pet peeves is closing in the space too much with high walls. It looks soo cool in Del Sol Valley though! I think the back of the lot gets all the light there. I love the palm trees in the world. It suits the place.

I'm sure Jasmine will be crazy in love too.
It is a little thing of my own. I call it "Heart Foam". I shall not publish it. Farewell! Patience, Patience, farewell!

I looked absolutely stunning!  A wonderful and ridiculously fitting Watcher update, my friend, and I was pleased and honored to be a part of it.
And yes, you should totally start playing Skyrim.  Just get some mods and you can make the characters super cute, and the Akaviri (one of the ancient races of the story world) are, in fact, based on East Asian culture.  Just sayin'   ;=)

What a fun update! I love it when you and Pippin bring your unique Watcher-styles to the story.
How is it that I never paid attention to the vault or knew anything about how it worked? As always, thank you @oshizu for telling me things about this game I didn't know.
Awesome job on the mansion, @Heart Foam - it's spectacular!

The whole "responsible adult" shtick is me laughing at myself.  Pippin, on the other hand, is a very highly "responsible adult."
When I lived in Tokyo, whenever my best friend's husband left town on a business trip, she'd invite me over to stay a few days.  We would order takeout instead of cooking and enjoy massive daylong gamming sessions. Haha, I tried to capture that feeling with the pizzas.

As for names, isn't your formal name "Judith," hmmm?

Your Twin Oracle Point build does look right at home on The Ward Den lot in The Pinnacles. And the scenic seating area out back is readily accessible; many of for-The-Ward-Den-lot builds I downloaded forced my sim to run to that area from the front of the house. For the fencing, I used the same low, white fencing you used at the front of the lot.
I also noticed that the front of the lot remains in the shade all morning.  Good thing all the action on your lot happens at the back of the house.
Is the direction of sunlight also something you consider when choosing a lot and building a residence?  Do you have a preference for shade in the morning or in the afternoon?
What an amazing build!

You with the wig in the Single Ladies photo was just so ridiculous.  After I assembled it, I kept looking at it and laughing. That absurd image gave me so much pleasure, haha. (I'm a person with simple needs, apparently.)  I am so pleased that you enjoyed your appearance in this legacy's first Watcher update.
Having your simself there makes Watcher updates that much more enjoyable to plan and write up!
As for Skyrim and the Akaviri race, I shall be sure to check it out.  At this point, the only way I can squeeze in another game amidst Sims, Shop Titans, the very occasional Two-Point Hospital, work, and reading would be to forego sleep. *yawns

What a fun update! I love it when you and Pippin bring your unique Watcher-styles to the story.

I'm so happy and relieved that you found this update "fun." How embarrassing if I were the only one super-delighted about the weird SIngle Ladies re-edit with Pippin!
As for using the Vault to keep finances separate, I'd also considered the SNB Bank mod (SNB=Sims National Bank), which would allow my sims to open individual accounts, joint accounts, multiple accounts per sim (like a child's college fund or savings to open a shop or to relocate).  The mod even has a direct deposit feature for wages.
The mod's features all sound super wonderful on the webpage, but the implementation sounded a little complicated. Oh, I don't know. Maybe I should try it out, just for the experience?
I watched a Youtuber play a teen runaway challenge where the (eventually, single mother) founder opened a bank account for herself. It didn't look that hard. Maybe I need to watch more YT vids explaining the SNB Bank mod?
And yes, Heart Foam's mansion is breathtakingly spectacular!

It's the same story in Newcrest. Afternoon sun gets right into the indoor pool area, which it must do for you as well. And the front of the house doesn't get sun, so it's pretty similar to Del Sol. I consciously wanted the dramatic shadows, that was a requirement. The open-air octagon patio thing gets morning sun, and that's where there's a small table there. If it happend that the sun rose 180 degrees on the other side, I would reverse the floorplan and have the kitchen on the right.

But if the front of the lot in Newcrest got all the sun, away from all the main living spaces, I dunno if I'd stay. It would grate on me. I've had a house in Del Sol that is basically the wrong way around (a previous version of this one!), and that's what probably made me more conscious of where the sun is, and where the view is. Eventually the penny dropped that it was a dumb cold house, that everything is in the wrong place, that obviously massive windows should be at the back. So Twin Oracle Point was partly a cathartic effort to do it right. Closure and all that. :p

Well, no wonder your Twin Oracle Point mansion works so well on The Ward Den lot! All the rooms at the back of the house get sunlight after morning passes plus both your octagonal patio and the solarium on the other side of the house look glorious throughout the daylight hours. It's really a perfect fit!
It's great timing because kids would be gone for school in the morning, anyway.

I'm curious which lot you chose for your previous Del Sol Valley build.  Was it the 64x64 Chateau Peak. Looking at the neighborhood map, it seems to face the same way as The Ward Den.
I'm so impressed how much thought you put into your builds. That consideration really shows in your results.
By the time I realize where the sunlight hits, I'm finished building and shrug, "Okay, I'll just take screenshots of the house in the afternoon." LOL
I'm so glad you mentioned that your Twin Oracle Point build might fit Prince's needs!

Haha, our Watcher simselves are happy to be back?
That video game is Party Frenzy, the lowest-level one under the Multiplayer option. Party Frenzy includes different segments including golf and bowling.

Mistura Mishmash Legacy 1.4: I Think I Love You
« Reply #73 on: May 23, 2023, 02:50:48 AM »
1.4: I Think I Love You

Baby, baby, when I look at you
I get a warm feeling inside
There's something about the things you do
That keeps me satisfied
I wouldn't lie to you, baby
It's mainly a physical thing
This feeling that I got for you, baby
It makes me wanna sing

I feel for you
I think I love you

Prince, "I Feel for You" (1979; covered by Chaka Khan in 1984)

Sunday, Week 4 (4th week of spring)
I'm all fired up after visiting the Watchers and feel ready to do the right thing!
Inviting over my Copperdale BFFs, we all age up together to "responsible adults." Hah!
Now, I'm not only a Creative Music Lover but also a Dance Machine!
I notice that Marlon and Cher are flirting and place a "party bush" to facilitate their courtship.

I've been watching some videos about raising infants since Jasmine's surprise announcement.
It's time to take responsibility and propose to Jasmine. I know I like her a lot. I think I might love her, even.
(I'd been thinking of marrying her, anyway, just not so soon!)
Of course, I find Thorne Bailey hanging around in front of Jasmine's house. Why do I always run into him?

Prince: Marry me, Jasmine! Let's make a life together--you, me, and your baby bump!
Jasmine: As the only five-star celebs in our simverse, you and I were meant to be, darling!
Before tying the knot, you don't mind signing this little pre-nuptial agreement, do you?
It simply clarifies what happens in case of incompatibility or, perish the thought, infidelity.
Prince: We have amazing compatibility and I'm not a player, so where do I sign?

Prince: My first marriage but Jasmine's fourth, so she asks that we just elope. Fine with me.
Rushing home, I pack up everything I want to take with me.
Then, I head to SNBank (Sim National Bank) to deal with financial matters like Watcher oshizu advised.

It takes a while for the bank employees to show up.
What a shock to notice that notorious werewolf staffing the teller station.
Oh, I see. He's just playing games on the teller's computer.

When the account manager finally arrives, I hurry into her office.
She helps me open two Premium accounts (for higher interest).
I'll earn about $38k from selling my furnishing when I move.
So I'll be putting every penny of mine into these two accounts.

I deposit $25,000+ into my Checking Account and $100,000 into my Savings Account.
Since I joined the Entertainer career this morning, I also sign up for Direct Deposit.
Let's see, I'd like 100% of my Entertainer wages and "Object Sales" to go to my Checking account.
Also, I'd like 100% of my music royalties to go to my Savings account.

Monday
Prince: I moved into Jasmine's mansion late last night and took over the former Science Lab for my garden and storage boxes.
This morning, I start upgrading the changing station, the crib, and fireplace.
Tonight's my first workday as an Entertainer, so I need to prepare for that, too!
Luckily for us, my work shift's over before Jasmine goes into labor.

Jasmine's a Level 8 Actress, but she won't be auditioning for acting gigs anymore.
Acting gigs would be too hard to juggle them with an infant and my Musician career.
So, Jasmine's taken up two new activities to help with household expenses: painting and recording videos/vlogs.

Just as I'm leaving for work, I notice Thorne loitering on our front porch.
Hey, I did spend a few hours at the Magical Realm last night.
But that don't mean it's my fault that Thorne catches fire, okay?

I return home with my first promotion and opt for the Musician branch!
Not long after, Jasmine goes into labor. We age up our son to infant right away.
I've named him Graham, after my close friend Larry Graham, who's a supremely funky bassist.

Tuesday
Graham has my violet eyes and pointy ears, but he shares his mother's sharp cheekbones and narrow chin.
In fact, I bet he's going to look more like Jasmine and not much like me.
If I say that's not disappointing, I'd be lying.
By the way, Jasmine's been painting so much lately, she gains a new personality trait: Art Lover!

Wednesday
Jasmine's first two videos promoted children's toys because they were trending.
She's relieved that Beauty Tips are trending now. That's a topic she's more familiar with.
Her video royalties aren't worth much yet.
But they'll grow once she raises her Charisma and Media Production skills, for sure!

Morgyn: You're not really serious about being a spellcaster, are you, Prince?
Prince: Since visiting the Magical HQ last week, I've been practicing magic here and there.
Today, I realized with a shock that I've already reached Adept rank!
Morgyn: Once you've learned the Potion of Rejuvenation recipe, be sure to come see me again.

I really miss my Copperdale buddies! I should invite them over soon.
It's such a blast to prepare their favorite food because they take such pleasure in eating my cooking.
Tonight, while learning Gourmet Cooking, I embrace a new personality trait: Foodie!
I hope Jasmine likes Pasta Primavera.

Thursday
Here's a peek at Graham's skill-related milestones after 2-1/2 days.
I've been practically the sole caregiver, so I'm pretty bored with Tummy Time.
But Graham can't learn new Fine Motor skills until he learns two more Gross Motor skills.
At least, that's what I learned from a parenting book.

Jasmine spends most of her time recording videos, swimming in the pool, or browsing the vending machines.
Her recorded vids all start out poor, then she spends three hours editing them.
This morning, she earned $534 in royalties for three videos.
Who me? I earned $10,157 for my mixed tracks and songwriting.

Watcher emptied out the fully-equipped Science Lab in the basement.
Now, it holds my mini-garden for growing cooking ingredients.
I only tend the garden while Graham's asleep.

Friday
Up to now, Jasmine has released only Good-quality videos.
So I complete the 3 upgrades for her The More Choices Video Station.
Now editing a video only takes her 1-1/2 hours instead of 3 hours.
Plus, she created her first Great-quality video today!

As for Graham, I was hoping Jasmine would teach him to crawl while I was at work.
During my 7-hour workday, Graham doesn't learn a single milestone.

Morgyn: How are you, Prince? Have you decided to get serious about magic?
Prince: Actually, Sage Morgyn, I reached the Master rank this afternoon.
Also, I bring you this Potion of Rejuvenation as a gift.
Morgyn: Oh, you dear boy! What perfect timing! My adult birthday is in two days, but not anymore!

Saturday
Whenever Jasmine cooks, she only prepares a single serving. *sighs
Today, I earn $11,894 from music royalties plus $1,736 from a 7-hr shift in the Musician career.
Jasmine earns $2,123 from her video royalties.
Considering each video takes 2-1/2 hours total to record (60 min) and edit (90 min), painting is more time-efficient.
But folks say "An idle mind is the devil's workshop," so perhaps it's better for Jasmine to keep busy.

We panic today because Graham's bladder's in the red zone but we can't use the changing station.
So, Watcher contacts her friend (the 10-Gen Jumble Watcher) who explains an infant must "Use Diaper" first. Crisis averted!

Also, just as I am leaving for work, Jasmine mentions getting a text from Thorne Bailey.
I wonder why he's texting my wife, anyway.

Thanks to my Connections trait, I started the Entertainer career at Level 4 on Monday.
Confession: I used a Wishing Well two days ago to get a guaranteed promotion to Level 7.
But today, I leave home as a L7 Musician and return with a L8 promotion.
Pretty sweet, right? I'm sure I have my Easy Street fame perk and Highflier trait to thank!

With our lives changing so drastically this past week, Jasmine and I haven't had much time to enjoy as a couple.  That will soon change.
Also, Graham ages up to a toddler tomorrow (Sunday), so y'all come back now, y'hear?

✔️Marry a mega-famous, Mean, Romantic star and have one child.
*Other requirements x3

Graham Mistura: Infant (1 day to Toddler)
Trait: Wiggly

Notes
*Jasmine Ward's traits: Judith's default traits are Materialistic, Mean, and Snob.
Since she starts out as a 5-star celeb, I wanted Judith/Jasmine to be Prince's love interest.
Using the traits.remove_trait cheat, I replaced Snob with Romantic at the start of this save.

*Larry Graham (1946-present): Bassist and original member of Sly & The Family Stone.
He and Prince had a deep, personal relationship and often collaborated musically.
Prince was once quoted as saying, "He is my teacher."

*Sleeping infant: Prince times leaving the house (except for work) to sync with Graham sleeping.
Whenever Prince leaves, though, Graham promptly wakes up instead of restoring his depleted energy. Darn it!
Should Prince always take Jasmine with him so that Graham will be sent to daycare (and restore his needs)?

*Why no Vault?: I decided not to use the Money Vault as a means for Prince to track his income separately.
Why not? Because household funds are not the basis for weekly bills, but the Vault and its contents are regarded as a single item.
If Prince put $150k in a Vault, for example, the lot's property value will increase by roughly $153k when calculating weekly bills.

*SNBank mod: At the start of this week, I installed the SNBank, SNB Financial Center, and SNBank Fincial Center All Venues mods by SimRealist.
I love the Direct Deposit feature which lets me track income by category.
Incidentally, the current weekly bills for this spectacular mansion is $13,597.  Both Jasmine and Prince have the Frugal trait.

Happy Birthday, Prince, and congrats on your marriage. Interesting that Jasmine wanted a pre-nup...

Now, I'm interested, do you pronounce Graham with one syllable or two? When our friend Graham (gray-ham) worked with US colleagues, they always called him Gram. But your Graham's namesake was American so, I guess he's a Gram too?

I think all infants I have seen to date have "homely" faces in Sims. Here's hoping Graham favours Prince when he ages up.
