I've never seen much of the SNB mod, but it has some good detail. Looks well integrated. I'm guessing it effectively increases the maximum amount of simoleons a household can have.

Easy Street!

Definitely spontaneous combustion!

Graham is in a very interesting situation. A mean famous actress (which I for one hopes she magnificently returns to) as a mother, a father quite conscious of keeping his finances separate from said mother.

Just saying, for other readers, oshizu has removed a woohoo closet in the nursery. Nothing is sacred! :p

Thorne Bailey is the literal worst!!  I think we would all happily testify as witnesses that Prince had nothing to do with Thorne's fiery demise, just in case he was curious  ;=)
Graham is a perfect name for the little guy...because funk bass players are incredible!
Prince is such a fantastic husband, father, and provider.  And that banking stuff?  Wow, you find the most interesting mods!!

Happy Birthday, Prince, and congrats on your marriage. Interesting that Jasmine wanted a pre-nup...

Now, I'm interested, do you pronounce Graham with one syllable or two? When our friend Graham (gray-ham) worked with US colleagues, they always called him Gram. But your Graham's namesake was American so, I guess he's a Gram too?

I think all infants I have seen to date have "homely" faces in Sims. Here's hoping Graham favours Prince when he ages up.
I personally know nothing about what a pre-nup would contain, but I figured a sim like the wealthy Jasmine would, considering she'd been divorced several times already, would know how to protect her assets.
You are absolutely right. Our Graham's name is pronounced "Gram" like the famous crackers. (Yum, cheesecake with Graham cracker crust!)
Oh Judi, I am so very relieved to hear that sim-infants typically have homely faces. I've been feeling rather sad about Graham's looks, hehe.

I've never seen much of the SNB mod, but it has some good detail. Looks well integrated. I'm guessing it effectively increases the maximum amount of simoleons a household can have.

This is my first experience with the SNBank mod and I love its ease of use so far. I can quickly transfer simoleons from Prince or Jasmine's account to household funs as needed, without having to queue up the action for the sim to perform (or drop).
One problem I've encountered is that when Jasmine sells paintings to Collectors (off the wall) or from personal inventory, the money goes straight to her checking account but does not count toward the Fab Wealthy aspiration.
As for household funds over $999,999,999, I don't how SNBank would handle that. My obscenely-rich sims buy a retail lot then move their funds to business expenses.
As for Jasmine's acting career, she hopes to resume it once Prince maxes his career and buys Pro Slacker.
Busted about the woohoo closet in the nursery! But the crib fit so perfectly into that spot!
I love the Easy Street fame perk!

Haha, Thorne is still alive and being a pain, but he did get thoroughly singed that day.  He does manage to show up wherever Prince goes.
As for the separate bank accounts, Prince started out with nothing as a teen and has worked hard to make a name for himself.
He's eager to prove that he's not just freeloading off the mega-famous Jasmine in her marvelous mansion.

The Banking Mod looks really good - I'll be interested in hearing what you think and if you encounter any issues as you continue.
Prince is such a great dad! And I think Graham will only get better-looking as he ages up . . . and up . . . and up.  :D
It's a shame Jasmine can't seem to do more to help Graham with his milestones, but Prince is covering it all quite well.

I'm really loving the SNBank mod.  It's a stand-alone mod without the necessity of the additional SNBank Financfial Center mod & additional branch venues, but I like the idea of a physical bank lot in my game for sims to visit occasionally.
The only issue I've had so far is with Jasmine. I've set her Direct Deposit so that her "Royalties" and "Object Sales" (paintings) go straight to her Checking account.
What happens is that those earnings aren't counting toward the Fab Wealthy aspiration.
I think the mod would also be great for a teen saving their money to move out, for parents putting money aside for a child's college fund, for a household saving money to move to a pricier home, and so forth.  I'm really loving it so far!
But my future married couples will definitely open a joint account! *winks

Thank you for your optimism about Graham's look! Can't wait to age him up to a toddler.
I guess Jasmine's behavior reflects real life. Not every grown-up is a great parent...

Prince seems very concerned with protecting his assets. Plus the resentment over Jasmine making less and not helping with the baby . . . Sure, yeah, this is going to end well!

Keeping separate accounts was actually the advice Prince's Watcher gave him based on Jasmine's past trail of broken marriages.
So the separate finances is partially story-driven but also provides the perfect opportunity for me to try out the SNBank mod, hehe.
Also, Prince feels no resentment about Jasmine making less; she's put her acting career on hold for now, so that's to be expected.
The repeating comparison between mixing tracks and recording videos actually whets the curiosity of the Watcher.
I've never tracked how well these two machines function as primary sources of income.

Yes, that's what's happening. Prince is the one making comparisons but from the standpoint of which station is superior, not whether he or Jasmine is earning more.  He's thinking that the Mix Master Music Machine (1 track in under an hour) gives better cost-performance than The More Choices Music Station (4 hours per video; or 2-1/2 hrs/video with a fully-upgraded Music Station). *winks

1.5: She's Got a Lot on Her Mind

She wears a long fur coat of mink
Even in the summertime
Everybody knows from the coy little wink
The girl's got a lot on her mind
She's got big thoughts, big dreams
And a big brown Mercedes sedan
What I think this girl
She really wants is to be in love with a man

She wants to lead the glamorous life
She don't need a man's touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain't much

Prince, "The Glamorous Life" (Recorded by Sheila E, 1984)

Sunday, Week 5 (1st week of summer)
Prince: The morning sun bathes this octagonal patio in soft rays of light.
The perfect spot for a shot of Jasmine, who holds our son Graham, and me.
Graham received his birthday notice last night, but we're holding out for a few more skill milestones.

Graham's getting bored with milk lately and wants to explore new foods.
Last week, I try feeding him Mashed Avocado which he disliked.
He tried Papaya Paste yesterday which he also disliked, but loves today's Yoghurt.
Seriously, who dislikes avocado and papaya?!

I didn't do half bad with our first infant, but not that great, either.
Graham's learned 4 out of 6 Fine Motor milestones.
For Gross Motor and Social, he's learned 6 each out of 8 milestones.
It's time for Graham's nap. We'll age him up later tonight.

We arrive at the Starlight Accolades at 7:15 pm, which I guess is too late.
Though we wait for two hours, no Master/Mastress of Ceremonies ever arrives.
Thorne arrives, of course, and has the nerve to sit next to my wife.
Why doesn't he enter with his own wife and sit next to her instead?
I awkwardly pretend not to notice Jasmine flirting with him…

Back home, I age Graham up and he earns the Top-Notch Infant trait.
He didn't learn enough skill milestones, though.
He starts out with L1 Motor, L2 Communication, and L1 Thinking.
In hindsight, I should've taken a day or two off from work.

Monday
Jasmine's thrilled at the thought of resuming her acting career once I max my career.
Surprisingly, her performance-related skills are all Level 1 (except Acting & CHarisma).
So she'll spend this week learning those skills while I help Graham with his toddler skills.
Meanwhile, before leaving for work, I prepare single-serving gourmet meals for Graham.
When I max Gourmet Cooking, I embrace a new personality trait: Perfectionist!

Jasmine: Prince doesn't realize I see him on the front porch while I practice acting in the bathroom mirror.
Apparently, that popular redhead floozy, Morgan Fyres, has come to give Prince a "neighborly visit."
Since when did Countryside Windenburg and The Pinnacles become adjacent neighborhoods?
If Prince, heartthrob idol or not, ever steps out on me, I'll sue him for everything he's worth.  (Which isn't much…)

Tuesday
Prince: I take a day off work to visit GeekCon with Jasmine.
The mansion has so many objects requiring upgrades, I'd like to be able to Insta-Upgrade.
No time to build my own rocket ship, though, so I'll use the one here at GeekCon.

Jasmine: My agent recently said I need to learn Comedy, Dancing, Fitness, Guitar, and Singing.
While Princes goes on five space missions, I write jokes on one of the Hackathon computers.

Jasmine: Writing jokes on a computer was boring me to tears.
Instead, I mingle with the festival-going fans, making funny introductions and jokes.
It's hard to be the center of attention while typing away on a computer, you know?

Prince: Congratulations on your marriage, you two! I'm glad you could make it for dinner tonight.
Cher: I wanted a big wedding but you know how it goes for unwatched sims like us *pouts
Marlon: Cher gave birth to twins last week. You should bring your son over to meet our kids, Prince.

Jasmine: I'd heard that Marlon and Cher got married, but I didn't know you got married, too.
Tiva: That's because I didn't.
Jasmine: Don't tell me! Is the father…?
Tiva: No, Jasmine.  It's nobody Prince or you have ever met. Do you mind, Jasmine? I'd rather not talk about it.

Wednesday
This morning, an ad agency phones to ask me to review a beauty product for the upcoming marketing blitz.
I've never produced a video recording before, so I think why not.
How surprising that my very first video gets nominated for a Starlight Accolades award.
I've never been that interested in making videos on The More Choices Music Station.
But if my man Herbert Landgraab can win a Starlight Accolades award for a video, maybe I can, too!

Daddy's very busy on his day off from work.
Jasmine's taking back-to-back Comedy skill classes.
I stay home to teach Graham shapes and dancing.
Look at Graham go! He's a little dance machine, just like his papa!

I mentor Jasmine in Guitar until she reaches Level 6.
Her Dancing and Singing are Level 5 or 6.
She still needs to boost her Comedy skill, but I can't help with that.
I've temporarily stopped mixing tracks to look after Graham, so Jasmine can prepare for her comeback.

Thursday
Jasmine receives notification of her adult birthday this morning, but waits to age up.
A little before midnight, I bake a birthday cake so she can blow out her candles.
Graham wakes up to join in the birthday celebration.
Hopple Borfna, Jasmine!

Friday
Prince: I love when you shower me with affection, but it's so out of character for you.
Jasmine: Of course, it is, darling. I certainly don't want another brat, do you?
Since you'll definitely max your career this evening, I've gone ahead and got an acting gig on Sunday.
I've a task to research the Flirty emotion, hence I'm flirting with you.

Ever since Graham aged up to a toddler, I've noticed piles of dirty laundry in the house.
I repeatedly scoured the entire mansion in search of laundry equipment.
After four days of this, I recall that Graham has the Messy Eater quirk.
Ooooh! Those aren't piles of dirty laundry. They're piles of discarded food!

And did I mention that Graham maxed all his skills yesterday? Terrific job, son!

Jasmine: For my remaining task, I invite over the director and co-stars to get to know them. I'd never met them before.
I go out front and start socializing with these three sims, only to learn that they're only stalkers/fans.
My co-stars, I finally notice, are at the front door knocking. And I find the director out back.

Prince: Maxing my career tonight grants me a wage increase to $972 an hour.
I can't play the kind of music that really grooves me in this musician career, but I won't quit just yet.
Nearly $7k in daily wages ain't nothing to sneeze at!

Prince: Hurry! There's still time for us to attend our very first Spice Festival!
Jasmine: Why so serious, Spice Champion?
Prince: I consumed Curry, Bhel Puri, Samosas, and a second serving of Curry.
After eating so many normal-quality food stall meals, my Refined Palate (fame) quirk is making me uncomfortable.

Saturday
Graham's been done with his skilling since Thursday, but his birthday isn't until Sunday night.
It seems only yesterday that Graham was a helpless infant.
Just think, our little Graham becomes a grade-school student in two days!

Jasmine: Soon after Prince leaves for work, my phone rings.
Yeah, sure, Thorne. Not a real date, though. We can just meet for coffee.
Give me an hour to get changed, then let's meet at that new café in Magnolia Promenade.
And if you arrive first, be sure to choose a secluded table in the back corner, k?

Thorne: What's gotten into you, Jas? What's with your oddball get-up?
Jasmine: Hello? I'm a happily married woman who's snuck out while her husband's hard at work.
Arrgh, it's impossible to escape the pararazzi!
Thorne: Well, duh.  You may be incognito, sweetheart, but I'm not.

Thorne: Oh, c'mon, Jas. You know that young kid can't make you truly happy.
Jasmine: Uh huh. And you presume to understand what makes me "truly happy," do you?
Thorne: I can't see why you bothered to marry that kid.
Jasmine: He's such a sweetheart, a great father and provider, and he spoils me rotten.
And speaking of true happiness, how are you and your wife Octavia doing these days?

Thorne: Listen, I have to leave for work now or I'm going to be late.
When you decide you want to be with a real man, Jas, give me a call.
Jasmine: Such an arrogant man you are, Thorne!  If I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath for that call!

That same afternoon on the Del Sol Valley news station…
News anchor: What have you got for us today?
Reporter: I'm live from Magnolia Promenade where Thorne Bailey has been spotted at the Flamingo Café.
Anchor: So? Lots of folks go to a café and drink coffee together.
Reporter: Yes, but rumor has it that Thorne's been carrying a torch for a mystery woman for years.  Could she be that woman?
If yes, why is she wearing a disguise? Does this mean Thorne and Octavia are teetering on the verge of a divorce?
I reached out to Thorne's wife, Octavia Moon, but she was unavailable for comment.

*3-week seasons: I'm experimenting this week with a mod that gives me 3-week seasons.
It's the "21 Days Season Instead of 28 Days" mod, created by LittleMissSam.
It feels to me like 2-week seasons are too short, but 4-week seasons are too long.

*Self-discovery traits: Prince has discovered Cheerful and Ambitious several times each, but declined them.
Jasmine gained the Snob trait which was one of Judith Ward's original personality traits. How perfect

So many perfect things in this episode!

Firstly, Graham is a sweetheart although calling his mother Jasmine speaks to a distant relationship.

Ah, Jasmine! Regaining Judith's original snobbery. I do enjoy the new traits system although I find it doesn't take much to trigger them. I am wondering what triggered Snob?

Also, that Thorne! With a gorgeous wife like Octavia, he can surely only be after capturing headlines.

I've never been a fan of Judith Ward, but I thought, give Jasmine a chance. Prince wants to be with her so she can't be all snobbery and selfish. But flirting with Prince's arch nemesis right in front of Prince? And then sneaking out to meet said arch nemesis despite the obvious high likelihood of getting caught! But that PALES in comparison to calling little Graham a "brat"! I can't believe Prince let that one slide. I hope he's paying attention and making a plan, because that momma's a bad momma. Maybe Jasmine and Thorne deserve each other, because Prince, Graham and Octavia all deserve better than that.

Okay, end of rant. But how about that Graham now? He's looking pretty cute these days, dancing up a storm and sitting in the big boy chair playing with his wabbit tablet. He sure made short work of the toddler skills, while living in his enormous and gorgeous not-tiny-home mansion. Prince should be very proud of both Graham and himself. And just possibly gave a bit of credit to his Watcher, who brings a lot to the table in terms of efficient sim living, AND had the foresight to suggest not co-mingling funds with that . . . that . . . that Jasmine!

Excellent work with your first toddler!!  You and Prince totally nailed it, and Jasmine...well...she's pretty.  I mean, she's no Morgan Fyres or anything, but she's OK  ;=)  Yes, the contrast of her being jealous because Morgan gives Prince a neighbourly gift but then flirting with Thorne at the Starlight Accolades and then going for coffee with him was fantastic!  Another lovely update!

:) such a good update. The News is so good! And Jasmine was flirting with Thorne too. It's not all on him.

I'm super curious to see Graham all growed up. Purple eyes! Big congrats on getting him to the point where he can try out foods in the high chair. I didn't get that far with my twins. :/

And I'm keen for Jasmine's film comeback! Residency of the Heart, what a role! I've had the film poster in the bathroom in anticipation!

Sorry about the lack of clarity about who exlaimed, "Hopple Borfna, Jasmine!"  Prince mentioned Graham's presence in the preceding line, but Graham doesn't have any speaking lines yet. :D
While Jas and Prince were sitting in a living room (they have two!), she triggered the Snob trait after complaining about the TV size, haha.
In my games, Thorne's always out and about by himself. I never see him with the lovely Octavia.
(Why does their son Orange always grow into such a hulk, though? I'm tempted to slim him down in CAS, hehe)

I've never been a fan of Judith Ward, but I thought, give Jasmine a chance. Prince wants to be with her so she can't be all snobbery and selfish. I've also never played Judith Ward. In my other challenges, since Judith is so famous, she usually won't give my sims the time of day.
But I had the choice of going with Judith/Jasmine or of adding a different 5-star celeb to Prince's simverse.
Jasmine and Thorne seem to have been cut from the same cloth, haha.

After the infant stage, Prince helping Graham with his toddler skills was familiar and faster than I'd expected.
Except for a little time at the end with the slide and fantastical tent, though, Graham was always taught by Prince (who triggered the Strict family dynamic).
Graham is a good toddler. He got the Hates Bedtime quirk but has never fussed about going to sleep or staying asleep.

Oooo, will Prince see the news report?  Is their marriage going to be on the rocks?  What an outstanding cliff hanger!!

Yes, Thorne and Jas are heading for a train wreck all by themselves! I mean, Jas did sneak out but Thorne phoned her for a date first.

Lawdie, Graham as an infant was so intense!!! We were disappointed that Graham started his toddler stage with only L1 Communication and L1 Thinking.
But, thankfully, recuperating those two lost skill levels was so much quicker than trying to earn those infant milestones in the first place, haha!
The best thing about the infant stage is that I no longer dread the toddler stage, LOL!
