Difficult for Licia to argue for Kage as heir. A kleptomaniac slob? I don't think so. Is he channelling his great aunt?

The new food pack looks fun. The food sale reminds me so much of festival food - all the different vans... can Akira do coffee? Noodles? Crepes? Oooh, crepes with chocolate and marshmallows? Or chocolate, banana & nuts?.  Now where's my waffle iron?
I'm really enjoying the new stuff pack's aspirations.  Figuring out how to complete a new aspiration is always exciting.
I don't think Akira can sell coffee from his food stand, but he sold the Caprese Salad servings he made for one of the aspiration tasks, so he can surely sell any of the Cooking, Groumet Cooking, Baking, Experimental Food, or food stall (San Myshuno, Selvadorada, etc) recipes that he can prepare.
I guess we can't make eclairs without the humongus Cupcake Factory thingy.

By the way, I've identified three potential ladies for Akira which might be appearing in the near future.
As you are Daichi's "mother," I value your feedback in the choice of Gen6 spouse.  :D

6.37: Enough Is Enough!

Sunday, Week 37, Year 4  (early spring)
Akira: It's the first week of our legacy's fourth year. I'm now the active heir though I still live at home.
Last week, Kage, Emi, and I aged up to teens and became A students, but couldn't attend Prom.
Saturday's also the day that our Great-Grandpa Marcos passed away.  Right in front of my food stand!
I ran two food sales for the first time on Saturday. I did pretty well but I know I can do better!
From L to R: My twin Kage, younger sis Emi, Mama Felicia, Papa Daichi, and me.

Yesterday, I asked Kage and Emi to cook waffles but they failed to make the poor-quality item I need.
This morning, I notice Kage feels Dazed from doing a repair.
Watcher moves him to the kitchen, strips it of inspiring objects, and has the dazed Kage cook Berry Waffles.
Success! Now I can hopefully meet that Market Magnate goal to "Sell a poor-quality item for $100"!
Kage: You know you owe me for this, right?

Winni Windhouse, a teen I'd met yesterday, suddenly appears inside our house.

Winni: Hey, wanna go to the Prom with me as friends?
Akira: I'm sorry, but no thank you. I barely know you.
Winni: Bummer! Well, I live at Hillside Haven in Copperdale with two roomies. You should come visit.

I've spent all morning and half the afternoon in the kitchen!
Here's a shot of my Pleasantly Unpleasant Waffles, made from strawberries and trash fruit.
I'm eager to finish my last task and earn the Appliance Wiz reward trait: Batch Cook.

Despite our different personalities, Kage and I are quite close.
Like, Kage started two fires trying to make poor-quality waffles for me, but he still made a third, successful try.
He likes being together, too. When I experiment at the cauldron, he comes out to chat.
When I go to the garage to read magic tomes, he sits next to me with his sketchpad to paint.

It's too late to hold a food sale today, so I pay a visit to Winni and her roomies.
Green-eyed Winni Winehouse is Cheerful and Lactose Intolerant.
Violet-eyed Himari Nakamura is Proper and Outgoing. She obviously hails from Mt. Komorebi.
Green-eyed Olivia Beltrand is Creative and Loves the Outdoors.

All three are attractive in their own way, but there's something special about Olivia.
Well, no wonder I think so. I have a crush on her!
Good thing I didn't bring Kage along. He might've called dibs while I'm still trying to decide.
Also, I wonder how hard it would be to cook for lactose-intolerant Winni.

Monday
Our first active day of high school.
According to MCCC, Principal Ando is a Day 0 young adult (which means she spawned today).
I guess this means we can go to Prom this Friday if we want.
Watcher says that grownup sims walk around as if holding a book ever since Licia and Daichi started uni. Weird.

After school, Olivia phones to ask me to hang out at the Bluffs.
For some reason, I assume there'll be a party there so I bring along Kage and Emi.
Wrong. Olivia's the only one there besides the three of us.
So I quickly invite Erin Bailey for Kage (lower left) and Stefan Matsumoto for Emi (lower right).
This was my first "kinda date" and I totally blew it.

Tuesday
I'm stuck at Market Magnate's third milestone. *sighs
Even at 300% markup, Kage's poor-quality Pumpkin Spice Waffle only sells for $20 each.
I need to figure out how to acquire a more valuable poor-quality item, $25 apiece at least.
On the plus side, I earn $4,136 in a single session this evening. Curious Pizza sells for $392 a slice!

Wednesday
I'm taking the day off school today to start on the Master Chef aspirations.
Papa's prepped ingredients and cooked stuff never spoils.  I want that Fresh Chef trait, too!
I fished up an Angelfish this week and GG left me a Potion of Youth, so I'm preparing Ambrosia.
It'll be needed later for Market Magnate's fourth milestone, if I ever sell that poor-quality item.

I'm trying to complete two milestones at the same time by hosting a Dinner Party.
It's time to start cooking waffles and a pizza! Tada! I'm an Appliance Wiz!
Its reward trait Batch Cook produces a duplicate of every recipe I make using a prepped ingredient! So helpful!
*Appliance Wiz: Make 2 Waffles or Pizza during a Social Event After Earning Silver
*Master Chef: Earn Silver at a Dinner Party Event

Papa realizes he only needs to make 2 waffles or pizza during this party to be an Appliance Wiz, too.
While he does that, I go around and get to know our extended family.
Instead of socializing, Emi's headed to the dining table with her homework.  Girl, you are a buzzkill!
It's a gold Dinner Party! I can't join the Chef career until I'm a YA, but I've done what I can for now.

Thursday
Daichi: It was kind of your grandfather to leave us each a Potions of Youth.
Licia: Your adult birthday's today and mine's on Saturday. Let's drink up!

Akira: Since I officially became the next heir, Mama pretends to be nice.
But she's always sabotaging my food sales.
Whenever she starts chatting with me, I stop tending my food stand.
I'm going to earn as much as I can today then move out tonight!

I restart my food sale which makes about a quarter of what I earned at the park last night.
This time, I'm trying to sell off as many as my leftover servings as possible.
No brand-new, high-ticket items.
It's fine. With income from food sales, gardening, and fishing, I can afford a small, 1-bedroom house.

Akira: I love you, Papa, but I've had it with Mama.
It's sudden, I know, but I've decided to move out tonight.
Daichi: We knew this was coming, Akira.  Here are your housewarming gits.
Yesterday, I bought you a new stand mixer, waffle iron, and pizza oven, then Kage helped me ugrade them all.
Give me a call when you get settled, okay? I'm gonna miss you!

While unpacking at my new home, I discover a half dozen dishes that will spoil in the next several hours.
Noooo! I hold a fire sale at 200% markup.
Business is brisk, but I didn't manage to sell everything before several dishes went off.
I better not cook anymore until I sell out my entire inventory.

Friday
It's evening by the time I'm done tending my newly-planted garden.
After making a Promposal Sign, I want to ask Olivia out but don't have that option.
I travel with Olivia to the Spice Festival where I present my Promposal.
She accepts my Promposal and gives me a big, happy hug, but I also get that lukewarm message.
Maybe I should've asked her to Prom as friends? Too late now!

Olivia: What a surprise to end up in Sulani. Why'd you pick this place?
Akira: I moved last night and my new place is a 5-minute walk from here.
Olivia: You live on the beach?
Akira: Not far from the beach.  It's too late to invite you in, but would you like to see where I live?

Olivia: What's all that you have going on in front, Akira?
Akira: Didn't I tell you? I run a food stand, selling stuff that I prepare myself.
I've been doing it for about a week now. Hopefully, I'll be making banking soon!
Olivia: Well, I better get going. See you tomorrow at Prom!

Saturday
Akira: You've seen me at my food stand many times, so here's a shot of my new home's floor layout.
Hope you don't mind my constant listing of my food sale reports.
Baked Alaska requires L10 Gourmet Cooking, Batter, and any Fruit; it sells for $1,712 at 300% markup.
Fudge Bars require L6 Baking, Batter, and a Chocoberry; it sells for $706.
They're both more profitable than any waffle or pizza.  Hmmm….

At the Prom, Olivis looks so elegant in her updo and white gown that I didn't recognize her at first.

At the after-party, we're both feeling flirty for some reason so I try a bit of flirting.
One little kiss can't hurt, right?

Well, that escalated quickly.
I'm still figuring out the best menu for my food stand hustle, so I was happy with our platonic relationship.
I haven't asked her to be my girlfriend yet. Will she expect me to take her places all the time?
Olivia's no doubt my one and only, but I need more time to grow my home chef hustle.

I like Akira's new pad, small but homely despite being set up as a sales area.
Does the $100 item have to be food? Can he sell a poor painting/sculpture instead? I guess it's the test of a good salesman but...
You're such a kind Watcher, finding not one but three potential love-interests for your boy. Hope he manages to work out a good life-work balance.

Thank you! For now, all Akira needs are basic furnishings for his bio needs plus areas related to his food stand.

Since it's a Market Magnate task, I'm pretty sure the $100 item must be sold at a food stand.
Whenever Akira opens his stand, I leave out his waffle iron and pizza oven in hope some townie will cook something bad that he can collect.
Other options might be:
*Interrupting a townie grilling at a park (is quality determined when a dish starts being prepared?)
*Editing a restaurant to sell only F-quality items, pocket something ordered of poor quality, then sell it at the food stand (okay, this is the most desperate move).
*Other ideas?

Sorry about Akira's love life, Judi!
I'd fully intended to let you have a voice in choosing Akira's LI.
I put Akira and the three girls together, had him perform the same socials with all three (Get to Know, Ask about career, discuss interests), then let them socialize autonomously.
If Akira hadn't crushed on Olivia, which sim would you have chosen for him?

Also, are you done packing and ready for your trip?

I think Olivia is lovely. I thought you would have favoured Winnie or Himari, mainly for the hair but I like the crush development, it does throw curve balls.

Akira is going great with his food stall, and Olivia is beautiful.
It's too bad about the first prom, but glad they got to go to the second one.
The kids these two have will be so adorable!

I'm so glad that you approve of Olivia! All three girls are appealing with acceptable traits.
I did think to check Himari (with the pinkish braids) original hair color; it's blond like Akira's.
That would've meant another generation of violet-eyed blonds.
After Akira socialized equally with all three girls, Akira and Olivia liked each other best. Those two were meant to be!
Hope you're enjoying all that delicious Singaporean cuisine!  Schok!

Haha, I completely forgot to check on the Principal their first week as teens.
It's a weird game mechanic (re: the Principal's death cancelling Prom), so it's hard to remember to work around it.
Thank you for liking Olivia! Akira thanks you, too!
As for the next-generation kids, I'm trying to take it slow here. :D

Regarding the food stand, Akira seems to earn more at 200% markup.
He makes less per item but sells more, I guess. His best sale earned over $11,000.
He wants to try selling eclairs, too, but that dang Cupcake Factory...

Mistura Mishmash Legacy 6.38: How I'm Da (Booth) Boss! (12 Oct '23)
« Reply #338 on: October 13, 2023, 12:47:33 AM »
6.38:  How I'm Da (Booth) Boss!

Sunday, Week 38, Year 4  (mid-spring)
Akira: My life changed so much last week!
On Sunday, I met the fetching Olivia and fell hard for her.
Thursday, Mama sabotaged my food sale yet again. I was so mad that I packed up and move out that night.
Ever since, I've been living in a teeny-tiny house in Ohan'ali Town.
Saturday, I took Olivia to the Prom and stole a first kiss.

I'm still stuck on Market Magnate's third milestone "Hustling Hawker." I need poor-quality food that sells for $100.
This morning, I do everything I can to help me prepare poor-quality food. I buy the cheapest stove and fridge.
I eat two plates of spoiled food, drink 2 Potions of Nausea, then swing until I'm Very Uncomfortable.
My results: Excellent Pizza Quattro Stagioni x1, Normal Curious Pizza x2, and Normal Baked Alaska x2.

My next idea is getting  Very Dazed by drinking Kava Juice but then I remember teens can't drink Kava Juice.
So I end up selling food I made yesterday and today, earning $19,138 at 200% markup. Yikes!

Monday
My new plan is getting Dazed by drinking Nectar, so I've traveled to Chestnut Ridge.
In the prairie grass, I find two bottles of Trash Nectar and one bottle of Strawberry Nectar. That' enough for me.
After pouring one bottle of Trash Nectar into 4 servings, I stash the other two bottles. I might as well age them.
Hehe, check me out double-wielding!

Not sure what the two sets of numbers mean, but my Poor Baked Alaska sells for well over $100 apiece.
Only one more task to finish this aspiration!
I need to resurrect a ghost by convincing the ghost to buy and eat Ambrosia.
Tomorrow's Ghost Night at the bars and clubs.  Will selling at those venues be my best strat?

Tuesday
Olivia: Thanks for asking me out to brunch!  And for letting me choose the spot!
Akira: My pleasure, Olivia.  I've never visited San Sequoia before. Why here?
Olivia: I was born and raised in this neighborhood but this restaurant only recently opened.
Also, I'm glad you called! I've been wanting to talk to you.

Olivia: What a lovely restaurant and the menu selection is great tto!
Akira: I agree with you on both counts, but I'm super curious what you want to talk to me about.
Olivia: My parents are moving overseas but don't have time to sell their house so they're leaving it to me.
It's a three-bedroom house, though, and too big for one sim. Would you be interested in moving in?
Akira: I've been wanting to move into more spacious digs. What did you current roomies say?

Olivia: I wouldn't know, since I haven't asked them.  I'd rather share the house with you.
Akira: Oh? Then count me in!  When can I move in?
Olivia: Friday before 8 am. I'll also be moving there from Copperdale Friday but I have school at 8 am.
Akira (to himself): I haven't even asked her to be my girlfriend yet, but we have great chemistry and…
Waitress: Sir, please!  Please take your passionate kissing outside!

Akira: I spend the rest of the day at Tartosa Beach. All my Tartosa kin come to buy my goodies.
My twin Akira pouts that he misses me. Not gonna lie, it's great to see the fam!
Today's my most successful day yet! Obviously, pizza is not the most profitable item.
Should I change my food stand's name from "Pizza My Heart" to something else?

Wednesday
I buy the humongous Cupcake Factory contraption to bake some eclairs.
Turns out I need L10 Baking for that recipe--two more levels to go!
After that, I visit my relatives in search of urns and gravestones.
You might remember that I've had Great-Grandpa Marcos's gravestone since last week.

I only find five more gravestones. How could Watcher lose track of our family's urns and gravestones?
Hmmm, what's the most efficient way to get a ghost to buy and eat my Ambrosia?
I've never summoned a ghost before but it seems the Necrocall spell can insta-summon a ghost.
I'm gonna try that first. If that fails, I'll run a food sale in front of a bar this evening during Ghost Night.

I move my food stand inside the fence and lock the gate to keep townies away from my food stand.
Then, I cast NecroCall on GG Marcos's gravestone and he appears immediately.
Once I start a food sale with only Ambrosia, I try to convince GG to buy a serving of Ambrosia.
Look!  He's checking out the Ambrosia!

Oh, oh, oh! GG buys some Ambrosia and is walking away.
I may appear nonchalant on the outside, but I'm jumping up and down in excitement on the inside!
Is this gonna work?

And thar he blows!  I've completed the Market Magnate aspiration which rewards the Booth Boss trait.
As a Booth Boss, I can yank the sales markup to 500% and can convince customers to buy specific items with better success.
To thank GG for his help, I give him a Rejuv Potion and move him back in with Papa in Tartosa.

Including $82k from 2 Ambrosia and $28k from 9 Baked Alaska, I earn $114,464 today.
Olivia said her parents are giving her the house, but I'm going to offer to buy it from them.

Oh, a funny thing about the Chocolate Biscotti I baked on the Cupcake Factory today.
After buyng it, my customers pack it into a lunch bag. It's too cheap to unpack and re-sell…

Thursday
Olivia: Thanks for coming over. I figured you'd want to know where the house is.
Akira: About that, will you be meeting your parents after this? I've brought you a little something to give them.
Olivia: What's with all this cash, Akira?
Akira: I've never liked getting a free ride. I earned so much yesterday that I want to buy the house from your parents.
Olivia: Bbutt….
Akira: It's no biggie. You can pay me back your half a little at a time.

Friday
Olivia: Thanks for arriving so early to move in! I got here even earlier so I could do some unpacking before school.
Akira: Wait, you're a C student?! And you never did scouts? Girl, you got a lot of catching up to do!
Olivia: Um, here's your house key. You can take my elder sister's bedroom.  See you after 3!

Akira: She said her elder sister's old room had the black bed, so this must be it.
Not exactly my taste, but it doesn't matter.
I spend most of my day gardening, cooking, or tending my food stand.
The only thing I'll be doing in this bedroom is sleep.

Akira: Whoa, what's with this filthy garage?
If Olivia had told me to sleep in this garage, I would have…
Wait, she wouldn't do that cuz I'm actually the owner of this house.  For now, anyway.
I wonder if she'd be interested in helping me with my food stand.

Saturday
Akira: Olivia's working on her Keep Fit badge today,  so we're gonna mix it up.
A little treadmill, swimming laps at a pool, then swinging at the park.
I run into my twin Kage at the gym and selfishly decide not to introduce him to Olivia.
Then I remember that they already met at The Bluffs. It's time to hit the pool!

Back home
Akira: Congrats on earning your Keep Fit badge.
Olivia: Ugh, I'm all sweaty from so much the physical activity today!
Akira: What is this blue-colored concrete here?
Olivia: Watcher put it here to mark the location of our future pool. You know, when we're feeling richer…

Akira: I've been meaning to ask you…
Olivia: No, wait! You're going to ask me to be your girlfriend, aren't you? Let me take a shower first!
Akira: Way to ruin the surprise. But I could use a shower, too. *winks

Olivia: You just asked me to be your girlfriend and now you're proposing?!
Akira: Uh yeah, looks like it.
Olivia: What happened to taking it slow? I thought you'd never ask me to be your girlfriend!
Akira: I did want to take it slow but now I don't. I'll be a YA in five days, Olivia.  Will you marry me?
Olivia: Yes, of course! Let's go home right now. We have a wedding to plan!

*13 Acacia Avenue: Akira needs to be asked to move in by his Soulmate.
My story is that Olivia's parents gave her the family home, then she asked Akira to move in with her.
I'd planned to use the freerealestate cheat to move Olivia into the house first.
But Akira made so much money Wednesday that he could afford to buy the house from her parents.

Congratulations to Akira on his food sale success and his engagement to the lovely Olivia. That aspiration had some tricky requirements! A bit topsy-turvy to sell a poor quality item.

The new house looks great too.

Thank you!  It was fun figuring out how to complete the poor-quality item and ghost resurrection goals.
After Akira failed to get a qualifying poor-quality item after a sim-week, I took a break for severl rl days to strategize, haha.
I really enjoyed working on both aspirations so much!  But Akira needs the Fresh Chef trait, like, yesterday.

A wedding is in Akira and Olivia's future. I wish we didn't have to run around and ask each member of the wedding party, haha.

Hope you are enjuoying your travels, friend!

Very smart strategizing on the Market Magnate! And thank you for fully sharing your Akira's experience with it - very helpful to the rest of us who will do that at some point.  :)

That darn cupcake factory is so big! I still don't understand why they did that. It's unfortunate that everything can't be baked in the oven.

I got so discouraged about Akira's initial failures with the poor-quality item that I took a few days off from simming to think about it.
The Uncomfortable/Very Uncomfortable shtick worked for others, apparently, but not for Akira, perhaps due to his high skill level and Stovers & Grills reward trait.
I will say that getting Dazed would be much harder without the Island Living or Horse Ranch pack. LOL, you think that's deliberate? *scratches chin

I agree about the cupcake factory. Why allow cupcakes to be baked in the oven but not, for example, eclairs?
I'll have to check again when Akira reaches L10 Baking.  There's a mod by Ravasheen that replaces the cupcake factory with a one-tile pastry piping bad that sits on a kitchen counter. Maybe I'll have a later (much later) heir try out that mod. Or you can try it out sooner? *winks

6.39: Just Call Me Cap'n Crunch

Sunday, Week 39, Year 4  (late spring)
Akira: I'm happy to report that I finally completed my Market Magnate aspiration last week!
Friday, I left my Sulani home to embark on a life of sin with Olivia in San Sequoia.
Saturday, I proposed to Olivia at the Romance Festival.
She's been busy planning our wedding ever since.

Akira: Have you thought about what you want to do after you graduate high school?
Olivia: Well, so far, I know I enjoy gardening and cooking.
What about I help you with your food stand? I can grow and prep ingredients!
Akira: I'm thinking of becoming a Chef temporarily to get the Fresh Chef trait.
It would be super helpful if you got that trait, too!
Olivia: I'll do it!

As part of Olivia's Master Chef journey, we co-host a dinner party in the evening.
We invite her former roommates and many of my extended family.
It's a great opportunity to introduce Olivia to everyone and announce our engagement.

This is Clifton Pries, a Sulani resident, a relative, and a regular at my Sulani food stand.
GG Marcos warns me not to look for Clifton in our family tree.
Hearing that only makes me more curious!

Akira: We age up on Thursday morning, Papa, and the wedding's scheduled for 4 pm the same day.
Would you please walk Olivia down the aisle. Wait…why can't I ask you to be our Sim of Honor?
Daichi: I bet it's because you're still a teen.
Akira: But we've already reserved the wedding venue and sent out invitations!
Daichi: Keep your Thursday wedding plans, Akira, but age up a day early.

Monday
Olivia brings home an A grade this afternoon and graduates early.
Tomorrow's GeekCon, so she's thinking of becoming a Nerd Brain.
Even if she doesn't, extra satisfaction is always a good idea.
I'm doing stuff around the house today. It's the third day in a row I don't open my food stand.

Akira: What brings you here so late, Kage? Did you forget something during last night's dinner party?
Kage: Um, no. You see, GG moved back in and Emi also moved her fiancee into the house.
There's not much to do around there these days, so I came to live with you and Olivia.
Akira: Olivia and I only moved in together three days ago. Besides, Olivia doesn't know you well enough.
Kage: Awww, c'mon, Akira. Don't be like that! I'm begging you! I got nowhere else to go!

Olivia: You've got to be kidding me! Kage's your twin so he'll be a YA soon like us.
Why can't he get his own place? I don't want to share you with anyone!
Akira: I know, I know. I feel the same way, Olivia.   But he's my twin brother!
We've been besties for as long as I can remember. I can't turn him away and live with myself.

Olivia: Well, okay. But I don't want him sleeping in the house.
Now that you share the master bedroom with me, the other two bedrooms are for our future children.
Akira: Then, where?!  Oh, Kage can convert the garage into his living space!
Olivia: You paid $90k for this house, I paid you back $25k so far, but Kage's contributed nothing.
He can fix up the garage himself.

Tuesday
Olivia: Thank you for mentoring me while I upgrade the dishwasher, Kage.
Kage: No problem. I'm glad I can be useful.  I know you didn't want me to move in with you guys.
Olivia: It's not that. It's just…Akira and I barely had any time to ourselves after we moved here.
Kage: I won't get in your way, Olivia. I promise.

Olivia: Thanks to your mentoring, GeekCon's in another hour and I'm already Logic 8!
Akira: Well, you did those school projects and you read a Logic skill book yesterday, too.
Olivia: Have I told you how handsome you look in that sweater?
Akira: Thank you! Papa gave it to me on my teen birthday. It's my favorite sweater!

Akira: As soon as we arrive at  GeekCon, I leave to go volunteer.
I'm sure two sessions will help me age up into a Compassionate young adult.
Meanwhile, Olivia goes on five back-to-back space missions.
Kage's at GeekCon somewhere, too.
Watcher: I later learn that lady's the daughter of Kage's great-aunt Elise and Valentin Price.
Is that really okay?

Wednesday
Akira: We wait to age up until we're done taking care of the garden.
I'm a Creative Foodie who's Clumsy, while Olivia's a Creative Outdoor Lover who's Family Oriented.
We'll both be working as Chefs but only until we complete the Master Chef aspiration.
Kage is a Slobby Klepto who's also Lazy. He's become a Freelance Writer.
Kage: Darn it! I shoulda completed Bodybuilder before getting that Lazy trait!

Akira: I invite over the four sims we've chosen for our wedding party.
Antwan Pries, son of Clifton Pries, will be our Ringbearer.
Randi Mistura, Great-Grandpa Marcos's granddaughter, will be Flower Pal.
And I ask GG Marcos to be Officiant, and Papa Daichi to be Sim of Honor.

Thursday
Akira: Our wedding starts at 9 am with our poor Flower Pal, Randi.
Randi fails to walk down the ails three times, thanks to my mother blocking the path.
Besides Mama who tries to upstage the bride, Auntie Dakota and Winni are also in the way.
I politely tell the three of them to leave the wedding.
Our Ringbearer, Antwan, looks appropriately snooty and dignified as he minces down the aisle.

Here comes my beautiful bride on the arm of my father.
Papa Daichi seems to be taking his role very seriously.

GG Marcos didn't talk much as our Officiant, but we are honored by his presence.
Except for the aisle blockage at the start, our wedding ceremony goes smoothly.
But another problem arises once we relocate for cutting the wedding cake.

For some reason, Kage gets drunk and starts picking fights with the other guests.
Do you remember Olivia's former roomie Himari with the pink braids? That's her in the kimono.
Kage's insulting Himari although anyone can see that she's expecting.
I also catch him yelling at our first cousin Juniper (Rasoya) Bailey. (Yes, those Baileys!)
Olivia and I had wanted to socialize with our guests, but Kage shames us into ending the event early.

Akira: Since you're all dressed up, I thought we'd have dinner at Chez Llama.
Olivia: What a perfect idea! But...can we talk about Kage?  What was his problem today?
Akira: Our mother let him get away with anything. When he did anything bad, she'd punish me instead.
On a happier note, though, would you like to start a family right away?
Olivia: Duh, I'm Family Oriented now, remember?  I can't wait to raise our children together!
Akira: Same here! Unlike my own experience, I want our kids to always feel loved and cherished.
Do you think my bad relationship with my mother will make me a more compassionate parent?

Friday
Akira: Olivia and I moved here to San Sequoia exactly a week ago then Kage moved in three days later.
He and I haven't talked about his behavior at my wedding. Do we blame it on the alcohol?
Anyway, Kage's really fixed up the garage over the past four days. He even added a shower.
He keeps busy, polishing off multple Freelance Writer gigs every day.

Akira: Thanks for helping me build the Celebration Center's Treehouse.
Olivia:  I don't know how I feel about letting our children sleep overnight in this Treehouse.
Akira: We'll cross that bridge later. For now, we're simply giving back to the community.
Olivia: Oh, that's a lovely idea!  We better get home. Our first work day starts in another hour.

Saturday
Akira: It feels like I haven't opened my food stand for days!
When I was single living in Tartosa or  Sulani, I ran at least one food sale a day!
I definitely have less time for myself since I moved to San Sequoia.
I want the Fresh Chef trait, but I'm fully committed to my food stand.

Olivia: You're unusually quiet today, Akira.  Are you still sad about our wedding?
Akira: *nods silently
Olivia: You don't have to say a word. I'll make you feel better in no time.

Akira: Guys, you won't believe how much I made this morning at my food…

Olivia, would you mind explaining why you're snuggling with my brother?
Olivia: Wait, what?  I swear I thought he was you, Akira!
I mean, he's wearing your sweater so…
Akira: About that, Kage.  It's not hard to figure out why you're wearing my favorite sweater!

Akira: Take a closer look at Kage, Olivia.  He's wearing my sportswear beanie to hide his longer hair.
You sleazeball, Kage! What do you have to say for yourself?
Kage: Uh, just call me Cap'n Crunch?
Akira: Say what?!
Kage: I'm a Serial Romantic. All I wanted from Olivia is a kiss.
Akira: Darn you, Kage! And give me back my sweater this instant!

Progress: End of Week 39
Residence: 13 Acacia Avenue, Gilbert Gardens (San Sequoiaj)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Notes
*Festering bitterness: I was surprised to find Akira with this on Monday.
He & Olivia had promised to skip Prom the Friday before.
But they still ended up resenting each other for no Prom invite. How annoying!

*Original requirements: Akira & Kage both become Freelance Artists.
Their mother Felicia was a painter and an Art Critic, so I didn't want to do painting again.
With Home Chef Hustle's release, Akira is running a food stand instead.
And, instead of Freelance Artist, Kage is a Freelance Writer.

More sibling rivalry! Poor Olivia being duped like that!

Kage has to move out, pronto. No excuses, no delays. His behaviour is unforgivable.  Crossed fingers for a quick nooboo to bring some healing.
