Ah - one day you'll lure me into the world of mods with all it's little tweaks and delights.
Welcome to the dark side. We haz cookies and no Death by Hysteria! LOL
It took me a long time, Judi, mostly because I knew once I started playing with mods I wouldn't want to play without them. I really only play with mods that fix things that EA didn't do well - it seems like when they add something new, they get so excited by it that they just way overdo it until it's just irritating - so I use mods to fix that. Like the emotional death
@oshizu mentioned - it's ridiculous that if you have a happy Sim, and they walk past a playful statue, they can die. That's just crazy.
Kids throwing paint around EVERY TIME they come to your house? Way too much. Mari calling every day, sometimes twice a day, about having a baby? Ridiculous. Fixing stuff like that makes the game more enjoyable for me.
MCCC is a pretty extensive mod, so it seems overwhelming, but the good thing about it is that it has defaults for the settings that match the EA defaults, so you're only changing what you want to change. You can dip your toe and enter the water slowly . . . and there are a lot of videos explaining that one and other popular mods.
But I do think I am done with the forum challenges and HoF Dynasties . . . because I'm not going to want to eliminate the quality of life mods after playing with them.
