With aging off for non-active households, my oldest Sims are the founders and they're only Adults so no Candy likely.

I like the theory of the Sim holidays - I'm allowed 8 per year so I have one every 2 weeks to be fair to all the Bloodlines, 4 with days off. But then they pop up just as I want a promotion 🙄  The work-from-home careers don't always let you go to work anyway.

I think I read somewhere (Reddit) that our children can even receive Grandparent Candy from an elderly nanny.
I have no idea what triggers it.  Both Licia & Dakota were socializing with their great-grandpas for their Sociability badge, but Licia got 3 more candies than Dakota. :D

My gameplay is mostly story-driven and I'm being pretty casual about holidays.  Depending on the household configuration, I may replace a tradition with one that's toddler-friendly, for example. I'm playing three-week seasons so my sims can celebrate Eggfest, Love Day, and Spring Equinox, as well as Winter Solstice, Winterfest, and New Year's Eve. I'm not fussed about how closely my holidays follow the real calendar.
My choice of traditions isn't as intricate as yours. ;)

I'm so glad the littles are getting lots of attention from their Grands, especially with Cisco preferring to talk to plants!
And how dare he flirt with Elise right in front of everyone! He should be ashamed! She just wants whatever/whoever Giselle has!

I've never seen Grandparent Candy either, but now I'm going to have to work on that and try to get some for my next gen! 🍬🍬🍬

I've also never had an NPC as persistent as Kaitlyn! Stalker is right!
Or maybe it's something terrible like amnesic syndrome like in 50 First Dates or early onset Alzheimer's. If it were one of those I'd feel so bad about calling her a stalker! Now I feel sorry for her. Poor Kaitlyn!

Haha, I hadn't actually expected Cisco to flirt back, but Elise & Cisco have Good Compatibility. Should I have expected it?

I imagine a kid who receives Grandparent Candy will also get a special moodlet when eating it, but I can't bring myself to let the kids eat it yet.

I giggled at how you went from indignant to sympathetic regarding Kaitlynn.
After Jessie turns her down, she returns to find him crafting a Promposal sign. How could she not know that the Promposal was not for her?
I prefer to play a sim household on a lot that is completely fenced in to keep out unexpected visitors, but the Horse Ranch pack's lovely large gate/arch makes that impossible.

Gisela lavished attention on Jessie (older brother) when he and sis were small.  Once the littles aged up to children, I noticed that Jessie had the Ignored sentiment toward Gisela (but not toward Cisco since Cisco ignoring Jessie was the default status).

4.29:  Second Chances

Sunday, Week 29 (mid-summer)
Gisela: Since I was small, I've always dreamed of living the perfect life with a Big Happy Family.
But each time I seem headed in the right direction, my path takes a wrong turn.
First with Rogelio and now with Cisco. From the outside, I appear to have everything life has to offer.
Last week, my sister Elise reminds me that she still gets a kick out of my unhappiness.
But I digress, here is my beautiful family!
From L to R: Felicia, Lucinda, Cisco, me, Jessie, and Dakota.

Lucinda: Are you playing favorites, Mama?  Why do you mentor Jessie but not me?
Gisela: Because I can't mentor Writing.  If you want to be mentored, you'll have to ask your father.
Lucinda (grumbles): If he ever comes out of his study…

Gisela: For obvious reasons, Rogelio and I usually communicate by text rather than phone.
I can't say his divorce is that big of a surprise but why so sudden?
What a coincidence he's living in Galloping Gulch.
I was in that neighborhood just last week looking at another property.

Dakota: Papa, why do you hide in your study whenever you're not at work? Don't you like us?
Cisco: It's not that, Dakota.  I-I-I just like writing mystery novels and talking to plants.
Dakota: But today's your day off.  Won't you help me learn to ride a bicycle?
If Licia and I have to wait for Mama to help us, it'll take us forever to learn!

Dakota: Four hours of practicing and we'll become Playtime Captains!
Gisela: But four hours won't be enough to learn to ride a bike.
Licia: It won't?
Gisela: No, but it's a great start. After that, you and Dakota can practice riding by yourselves.

Jessie: My neighborly cousin Cannon comes over to ask me to be BFFs.
I'm a Foodie who Loves the Outdoors, whereas Cannon's a Squeamish Snob.
We'll definitely not become fishing buddies but maybe he can share my love for fine cuisine.
Also, I'm inclined to believe that Valentin Price is his biological father. Cannon resembles him a lot.

Monday
Licia: Yay! I slept in the Treehouse and completed the Creative Genius aspiration!
I had trouble sleeping last night because Watcher kept exiting and reloading the game.
Mama knew I wouldn't wake up before 8 am, so she wrote me an Excuse Note for school today.
What shall I do on my free day? I know!  I can learn to play the violin!

Gisela: Hey, what's going on? Why the sudden decision to break up?
Rogelio: Elise and I have been discussing it ever since I discovered Valentin Price fathered her twins.
When she flirted with Cisco in front of everybody last week, though, I decided I'd had enough.
Gisela: But why this place, Rogelio? It's kind of a dump…
Rogelio: I wanted to stay near you and our daughter, but this was the only empty house in town.

Gisela: There was actually one more empty house in town last week, but I'm having it renovated.
Rogelio: Oh?
Gisela: I'll tell you more about it in a couple of days.  You know you can count on me, right?
Rogelio: Thanks. I've been feeling down lately but seeing you always brightens my day.

Tuesday
Gisela: Today's my adult birthday!
Only Cisco and Jessie are paying attention to the fact that I'm about to blow out the candles.
Lucinda (orange dress), it seems, couldn't care less and is heading for the observatory.
She could stand to learn some manners!

Cisco: Yesterday was my day off. Why wait until today to confess that Rogelio is Licia's father?
Gisela: I wanted to wait until my adult birthday to make changes in my life.
Cisco: Changes?! I'll give you change.  I want a divorce!
Gisela: Of course you do! We haven't been intimate since the day we conceived Jessie and Lucinda.

Cisco: You have no idea how hard I've tried to make our relationship work!
Did your father ever tell you the truth about how we met?
Gisela: Well, yeah, you two met at the Quad Manor library in Windenburg.
Cisco: More precisely, we met because I tried to hit on Marcos.
I've always preferred men, but Marcos convinced me that you'd be better for me.
Gisela: ….

Cisco: Look, I'm romantically attracted to men and you're still in love with Rogelio.
Let's go our own ways but remain friends.
Gisela: Fat chance! All this time, you never told me that you're more attracted to my father than to me!
While you're at work, I'm moving out this afternoon and I'm taking all the kids.

Gisela: Uncle Aiden! What brings you here?
Aiden: Well, my little brother Rogelio texted me about his divorce so I paid him a visit.
Then, since I've come all the way to Chestnut Ridge, I decided to visit my favorite niece and bestie…you!
Gisela: Cisco and I broke up this morning. Once I'm done packing, I'm moving out with the kids.
Aiden: Oh? Rogelio's loved you since you were both kids. Please give him a second chance!
Then, I could be not only your uncle but also your brother-in-law! *grins

Gisela: Though my folks paid for the ranch I left behind, Cisco and I split our  3M simoleons in two.
With my nectar side hustle, I can afford to be generous.
I buy a 5-bedroom ranch which has been remodeled to suit our household's needs.

Dakota: But won't Papa be lonely living by himself?
Jessie: I call dibs on the downstairs bedroom with the double bed!
Lucinda: Seriously? I'm sharing a bunkbed with Dakota because Licia's the next heir?
Licia: Hey, look! There's a swimming pool in the back!

Wednesday
Jessie: Mama says you want to learn to paint, so I got this school project.
If you assist me with it, you'll gain Painting skill.
Rogelio: Oh, that's awesome! I wonder how many levels I can earn this way.

Lucinda: Papa, what are you doing here?  Today's not a day off for you!
Cisco: I was so out of it at work this morning that the Chief sent me home early.
Do you think I should take your mother to court for custody?
Lucinda: Don't bother. Jessie and I will be YAs soon then I'll move back with you, okay?
Cisco: You were always my favorite, Lucinda!

.
Thursday
Gisela: Now that I've joined the Politician career, my days as a stay-at-home mom are over!
I'm looking forward to meeting my supervisor and co-workers at the office today.
Until Licia and Dakota are older, I'll mainly be working from home.
I'm working at an NGO named "No Child Left Behind." A worthy cause despite the horrid pink suit!

Licia: Today's another scorching hot day and Uncle Rogelio is visiting us.
When I start doing my homework, he immediately comes to help me!
Wow, Mama and Uncle Rogelio are wearing matching friendship bracelets.
How did nobody ever notice that before? Or maybe it doesn't mean anything?
Should I ask Grandpa Marcos about it?

Friday
Gisela: Today starts out with quadruple birthdays: Jessie & Kiersten and Lucinda & Marlon.
After the four age up to young adults, each couple gets engaged.
There's so much love in the air that I quietly ask Rogelio to be my boyfriend.
And I couldn't resist asking him to move in with us, too. I love having him around again.

Oh, here are everyone's traits:
Jessie: Loves the Outdoors, Foodie, Family Oriented
Kiersten Yamamoto: Art Lover, Music Lover, Proper
Lucinda: Creative, Perfectionist Foodie,
Marlon Rasoya: Horse Lover, Socially Awkward, Clumsy

Jessie: We decide against formal weddings, but we travel to Tartosa for the wedding arches.
I don't want to hear any talk about red hair, violet eyes, or pointy ears!
Kiersten is a beautiful sim with great traits! I am one lucky sim!

Lucinda: I get that Marlon isn't perfection in the traits department.
But he's super sweet and irresistibly handsome.
Growing up, I always craved attention but Papa was too busy and Mama preferred Jessie.
I love that Marlon treats me like the center of his world.

Jessie: This is why I called dibs on the downstairs bedroom with its double bed!
After we spend a few hours trying for baby, Jessie's pretty sure she's pregnant.
She asks to move in but Watcher says she'll have to wait until Licia moves out..
W: That's right. I'm not raising any more babies in Chestnut Ridge!

Lucinda: I've been sharing a bunkbed with Dakota and didn't want to try for baby in the shower.
That leaves the Treehouse!  After one try, I'm eating for two so Marlon and I move in with Papa Cisco.
I feel bad for him living all alone on such a big ranch, so I even change my family name to Wright!
Marlon and his younger sister have been living with their uncle and his family.
Bucks Meadow Ranch is huge, so I suggest that Marlon bring his sister along, too.

Saturday
Gisela: While looking at the Chestnut Ridge map this morning, I notice that Cisco has moved. WTH?
I check his profile and learn that he married Hinata Takagi today and moved into Hinata's penthouse.
Based on the orange top Hinata's wearing, could he be an ex-con that Cisco met at the Police Station?
How long has their relationship been going on?
Hinata's a Mean, Hotheaded Bro! What do he and Cisco have in common?

Gisela: After I share the news about Cisco with Rogelio, he's quiet for several moments.
Then, he asks me to go for a walk with him in our neighborhood.
When we reach the cliff looking out at the waterfall, Rogelio proposes.
Obviously, I accept!
Cisco abandoned Lucinda to go live with an ex-con in his cushy San Myshuno penthouse.
If Cisco can do that, what could be wrong with Rogelio and I getting engaged?

Notes
*Source challenge: Gisela reveals her two remaining heir requirements on her adult birthday.
Her requirements are drawn from Gen1 of the Crybaby Whims Legacy Challenge by Draeyad.
Since Giseala is Gen4, she plays out the pre-YA drama which only appears as a backstory in the original challenge.
Apart from that, my only changes were to add the Drama Llama and Expert Nectar Maker aspirations.
The original challenge lets the Watcher decide whether to reunite with ex-hubby or ex-boyfriend or to remain single.

*Gisela's career: She only needs to join the career as an adult, not to max it.

*Cisco's marriage: On sim-Thursday, I used MCCC's "Mark for Marriage" setting on Cisco.
Friday afternoon, Lucinda and Marlon moved in with Cisco.  Saturday morning, Cisco had moved, LOL!
I've set MCCC's auto-marriage feature to auto-check eligible/compatible singles every Wed and Sat.
Please note that I did NOT choose Hinata Takagi for Cisco.
Also, I wonder why Cisco moved in with Hinata, instead of Hinata moving in with Cisco.
"Mark for Marriage" doesn't work for all sims. I renewed "Mark for Mariiage" weekly for Tony Zest from his YA stage.
But he eventually died of old age, an eternal bachelor. *sniff, sniff

Cisco's Marriage

I was so surprised that Cisco got married and moved out only one day after his pregnant daughter Lucinda moved in with her new husband Marlon.
Cisco's new partner, Hinata Takagi, appears wearing an orange top in both Cisco's profile and Hinata's own MCCC profile.
How fascinating!

First, I used MCCC to log Hinata's personal data and see his has the hidden trait "DetectiveCareer_PoliceStationCriminalNPC."
So, the game spawned Hinata as one of the 3-4 prisoners in orange jumpsuits that your detective would run through the booking station
The log also showed his personality traits to be Mean, Hotheaded, Bro. His gender preference is 100% Male, 0% Female.

Next, I loaded my save for the previous update, which ends six sim-days before Cisco runs off and gets married.
On Sunday morning of the current week (Week 29), Hinata Takagi is already living alone at 888 Spires Apartments, Uptown (San Myshuno).
I visited Hinata in Live mode (because why not?) and his only acquaintance at that time is his Landlord.
Here's a screenshot of Hinata chilling on the terrace of his luxury penthouse which has the default lot trait "Great View."

Anyway, thank you, MCCC. I don't think I could've found an odder match for Cisco if I'd tried!
But how does Hinata divide his time between his penthouse and the Police Station's holding cell?

Oh my days! Such a big surprise!

Oh Cisco, living a lie will never work! I'm quite sad that he has declared a favourite child of his 3 natural kids. And then that he abandoned her, albeit as an adult! Jesse seems fairly self-assured but i hope Dakota's OK.

Your mod really doesn't hang around.

I was probably as surprised as you were. I'd had Cisco reveal his romantic preference as a way to have him share the blame for the failed marriage.
Then, I played until Saturday with space for two images left. I was trying to find the right timing for Gisela/Rogelio to marry, without seeming too insensitive and desperate.  But Cisco solved the dilemma for me.
I'd never taken my sims to downtown Chestnut Ridge so I had Gisela checking out the town map when we noticed Cisco was gone.
MCCC's Mark for Marriage feature rarely works so quickly and definitely not a marriage to Police Station prisoner.
I guess it's because Cisco's in the detective career and Hinata Takagi's gender proference is 100% male?

So, Lucinda actually changed her last name to Wright to continue her father's lineage.  Should she change her name back?  LOL!
I mean, Cisco might assume the Takagi famiy name....

Seeyah Cisco! Done with you.
Rogelio, hope you have your you-know-what together this time!
Big Happy Family is a long aspiration, but Gisela certainly had plenty of drama to keep us all entertained along the way!

Looking forward to Licia's generation/requirements.

4.30: A Grandmother, at Last!

Sunday, Week 30 (late summer)
Gisela: I'm still reeling from everything that happened last week!
On Tuesday, Cisco asked me for a divorce and I moved out with all the kids.
On Friday, Jessie and Lucinda aged up to YAs with their signifcant others, and pregnant Lucinda moved out.
After Rogelio joined our household that same day, I asked him to be my boyfriend.
Saturday was the big shock: Cisco married an ex-con and moved into his San Myshuno penthouse!
From L to R: Dakota, Jessie, Rogelio and me, and Felicia.

Gisela: We start out the day by traveling to Uptown in San Myshuno.
There, I give an Expert Confident Speech as one of my daily work tasks.
I'm delighted to run into Lucinda in Uptown. She enters her 3rd trimester this afternoon.

Understandably, Lucinda's unhappy about Cisco moving out the day after she moved back.
She'd even assumed his family name of Wright, but he's remarried and since become Cisco Takagi.
She asks my help in changing her name yet again, this time to assume her husband's family name.
Her husband Marlon, who'd also switched to Wright, will surely rejoice at becoming a Rasoya once more.

Rogelio convinces me that we no longer need to wait to get married.
He invites me to the island of Mua Pel'am so we can elope next to a breathtaking waterfall.
If not for my sister's devious machinations, Rogelio and I would've been married years ago!
And now it's time to meet Jessie, Licia, and Dakota at Ohan'ali Beach.

Rogelio: Dakota and I are great friends and I got Cisco's permission to adopt her.
But I couldn't find the option to "Adopt Dakota."
Watcher did some digging around on EA Answers and found an answer but not a solution.
Apparently, if a child already has two parents on their family tree, they cannot be adopted by another sim.
It doesn't matter if one of the parents is absent, as in the case of Cisco.  Too bad!

Gisela: We spend the rest of the day relaxing at the beach.
In the evening,  I use the Grand Pit BBQ to cook an Island Vegetable Feast for dinner.
If I hadn't just started working, I might've asked for several vacation days.

Monday
Rogelio: With Jessie and Lucinda becoming parents soon, I imagine myself as a grandpa someday.
When Felicia starts a family, will she invite Gisela and me for a stayover?
In that case, I'd like to acquire some useful skills to mentor.
Painting is my passion, but Handiness is very useful so I ask Jessie to mentor me.

In the late afternoon, I learn that Lucinda gave birth to twins named Juniper and Bob.
That little girl living with Lucina and Marlon is Marlon's sister, Norma.
After dinner, we travel to the Spice District to visit Jessie's wife Kiersten.
Her stomach looks quite large, but I'm not taking any chances.

Gisela: May I offer you a Fertility Massage, Kiersten?
Kiersten: Yes, please. But where did that massage table come from?
Gisela: I bought this portable massage table earlier today, knowing you'd be in your third trimester.
Tonight's the perfect time for you to get a Fertility Massage!

Tuesday
Gisela: I have the day off today, so both Licia and Dakota take today off, too.
I need to start the process of transferring the Mistura legacy'reins to Licia.
First, I gift her the three infant onesies that my Grandpa Carlos knitted for my mother Izar.
Too busy to ever use them, Izar gifted them to me and I never used them, either. Will Licia remember?

Licia: Today, Mama takes us on our first visits to Glimmerbrook and StrangerVille.
Papa Cisco was hardly there for me in my toddler days, but Great-Grandpa Carlos showered me with love.
In StrangerVille, I ask Grandpa Marcos to be my BFF.
There, I also meet Uncle Jose (Mama's brother) and Aunti Genesis.
Grandma Izar compiled the Mistura Magical Tome Collection, so I might benefit from that someday.

It's also great to meet my cousins Victor and Vivienne.
They're the only cousins I've met so far.
They became teens about a week ago, so we're not that far apart in age. We promise to keep in touch.
Gisela (whispers to Rogelio): I'm never introducing the girls to Elise and her twins!  Never!

Jessie: We're home at Palomino Junction when Kiersten phones in the evening.
She's given birth to triplets, named Shannon, Katy, and Shaun.
Gisela: And with my five grandchildren, I have achieved a Big Happy Family, my last task as the Gen4 heir!
When Kiersten moves in after Licia moves out, we'll have a full house!

Wednesday
Licia: Since I'm now at the helm of the Mistura Legacy, I decide Dakota and I can age up one day early!
I'm a Perfectionist Snob. Dakota is Neat and Proper.
After my makeover, Mama takes me aside and explains who my father is.
Well, duh! My hair color is a bit of a giveaway, don't you think?

Licia: Dakota has her father's hair and green eyes and the hereditary Mistura cheek mole.
She looks a lot like Mama but with green eyes and non-pointy ears.
I have my parents' violet eyes and pointy ears, with my father's blond hair and freckles.
Watcher says she doesn't mind that I didn't inherit Great-Great-Grandpa Prince's mole.
Okay, time to get ready to earn an A grade at high school tomorrow!  *rolls up sleeves

After homework, I complete two school projects to be on the safe side and then I start painting.
With Mama mentoring me, I master Painting in a flash.
Great-Grandpa Carlos comes for a visit while Mama mentors me in Writing.
Thanks so much for sanitizing the table, Great-Grandpa! Love you!

Thursday
Licia:  Dakota and I bring home A grades this afternoon and accept early graduation offers, as we'd planned.
Mama is finishing up a work-from-home task, then we're off to Britechester for some campus tours.
I want to study Art History, but I'd like to visit both the Britechester and Foxbury campuses.

Licia: You're right, Mama. I love the Britechester campus but I don't want to live in on-campus housing.
Gisela: Exactly what your father and I thought you'd say.  That's why we bought you this off-campus house.
Rogelio: It has 4 bedrooms so you can find roommates to rent the other 3 bedrooms.
Licia: Oh my gosh, it's an amazing place! Let me post a listing and then we can go have dinner.

Licia: I didn't expect such a quick response to my listing! Thanks for meeting us at Darby's Den on such short notice.
Potential roomie (PR): I was already on the Britechester Campus, so it was no trouble at all.
As for your listing, I noticed that lovely three-story house yesterday and recognized its address.
Gisela: Don't forget to ask him his major, Licia!
Daichi: By the way, I want to study in Britechester's Distinguished Degree Program in Culinary Arts. What about you, Felicia?
Licia: I'm hoping to get into Britechester's Distinguished Degree Program in Art History.
PR: What a relief that you're a creative type! I'm a Snob, so I was worried you might be a jock or a nerd!

Friday
Daichi: Ma'am, I'd like to thank you and your husband for inviting me to stay here last night.
Rogelio even bought a Wishing Well for my personal use and I was able to go from a C to an A grade!
I also earned a half dozen scouting badge and…ma'am?
Gisela: Yes?
Daichi: Are you flirting with me? I'm only a teenager.
Gisela: Not really. Watching Romance TV put me in a flirty mood. I'm happily married now, at last!
Daichi (calls out): Um, Licia? Are you ready to leave yet?  It's getting late!

Licia: Wow, look how packed the household is after I move out with my new roommate, Daichi.
Mama must be pleased that the triplets are all redheads!
Poor Dakota! I bet she's gonna move out at the first opportunity!
Watcher: Izar and Marchos had three brunette kids, but Jessie's blond wife had triplet redheads!?

Licia: So, what's the plan for Saturday?
Daichi: Well, you grew up a watched sim, so you're no doubt ready to apply for uni already. Not me!
With your parents' help, I managed to earn an A grade today but not the graduate early option (yet).
So, my plan is to earn my Keep Fit badge, raise my culinary skills, and graduate early from high school.
Licia: Let's start the term together.  I'll do my applications tomorrow but wait for you to enroll.
.

Saturday
Gisela: This house came without a stove/oven combo, but Daichi needed one to learn baking.
I wonder if our future roommates will constantly start fires cooking. Should I stash it later?
Anyway, Cisco's done with Scouts already, so he only needs to work on his culinary skills.
Of course, we're both aiming at distinguished degree programs at Britechester!

In case you're curious, our house has a dining room and kitchen on first floor.
The living area is in the basement.
Here's the second floor, which I share with Daichi. My bedroom's on your left.
The third floor has the exact same setup: two bedrooms sharing a single bathroom.

Licia: Wow, not even 4 pm and we're already applying for uni and scholarships!
You really whizzed through your culinary skills.  Impressive!
Daichi: Changing the lot trait helped. But also, I couldn't graduate early until I had two Level 7 skills.

Licia: I still need two more roommates, but nobody else has responded to my listing.
Daichi: What if we visit campus later and try to invite uni students to room with us?
Licia: Great idea!  *high fives
Daichi: Hey, thanks for waiting for me to apply! I'm sure you were ready to apply yesterday.
Licia: Don't be silly! It'll be more fun if we start the term together!

Notes
*Adopting a step-child: How disappointing that Dakota couldn't be adopted by Rogelio.
Simmers were testing this new Growing Together feature at EA Answers HQ.
Apparently, "disappearing" the other biological parent (Cisco) wouldn't allow Rogelio to adopt Dakota.
Because in that case, Cisco would still appear, albeit as a ghost, as a parent in Dakota's family tree.
  Sadness.

*Daichi Ishida: Daichi was the Gen4 Kenna spouse in Granny Lawlor's Rival Dynasties Challenge.
In the Mistura simverse, Daichi is a playable sim and not one of Licia's NPC roommates.
In keeping with the Gen5 storyline, I considerably changed his coloring and wardrobe.
He's keeping his Snob trait, because it works out perfectly.

*Daichi's traits: Daichi has two traits that can't be gained at the child stage: Foodie and Snob.
So, this trait combo would've been impossible if I'd played this sim from childhood.
When I cloned Granny Lawlor's original townie sim in CAS, however, I was able to choose these traits.

So happy to see Daichi settling in to the Mistura Legacy. I'm sure he'll be very at home living with a fellow Snob :)

Felicia has lovely freckles.

Wow - after all the drama in her life Gisela will have no rest in her 8-sim household! That must have been one heck of a fertility massage!

It's ironic that Gisela changed her hair color from brunette to red (like her father Marcos) yet still managed to pull of triplet redhead grandchildren!
As for the full household, Gisela got what she wanted but I feel bad for Dakota. I'll keep an eye on her and move her out as soon as she's a YA. :D

Considering Felicia's heir requirements, Daichi is the perfect match!  Thank you so much for sharing him with me. (Oh, that sounds a little odd, hehe...)

5.31:  What's Her Problem?

Sunday, Week 31 (early autumn)
Licia: Last week, Mama Gisela became a grandmother and completed her final heir requirement on Tuesday.
My sis Dakota and I became teens and graduated early from high school on Thursday.
My parents bought me a four-bedroom house in Britechester and I met Daichi, the first of my three rooomies.
Friday night, Daichi and I moved to Mossy Lane in Gibbs Hill.

Daichi: We've spent hours at Darby's Den but no young adult students have shown up.
Licia: Do you think it's empty because it's Sunday? I'm just painting stuff to list on Plopsy.
Daichi: I've made a few paintings to sell on Plopsy, but it's not really my jam. Maybe nectar making?
Licia: Our place has no room for a garden, though.
Daichi: We can revisit that later.  Let's try and meet students at Laurel Library and Britechester Pub.

Licia: After failing to meet anybody at either place, we visit the Drake Hall dorms on the Britechester campus.
Aya Morita is a Self-Absorbed Foodie in the Culinary Arts program.  Daichi really likes  her. (A little too much?)
At this point, we discover that a teen don't have the "Ask to be roommate" option.
I don't really need a 4-bedroom house if I can't rent the two empty bedrooms to other students.

Licia: Thanks for sticking with me, Daichi! I was worried you wouldn't want to move with me.
Daichi: I couldn't exactly bail after all your parents did for me last week.
Licia: The new place is much cheaper, but we can upgrade the furnishings if we want.
Daichi: Btw, I got my scholarship results. I applied for three and got two of them.
Licia: I applied for five and got four of them. Not sure why I got the Britecheter Resident one, but you didn't.
Daichi: Well, let's finish packing and move out tonight.

Monday
Licia: We're living in a two-story, two-bedroom house at Honeydew Fields, also in Gibbs Hill.
(Daichi wanted to move to a duplex, but I'd rather share a kitchen so I can enjoy Daichi's cooking.)
The ground floor has a spacious living area, a roomy kitchen, a solarium, and a patio area.

Daichi: This solarium is my favorite room in the house.
Licia: Agreed! Our bedrooms each have a desk, but I'd rather study in this room!
Daichi: Exactly!
Licia: But the jury's still out on Watcher's decision to replace the grand piano with a dart board and foosball table.

Daichi: I created a small nectar-brewing area out back.
I plan to only brew nectars from Grape, Strawberry, Choboberry, and Tomato.
Maybe 1-2 bottles a day to sell at a yard sale every Saturday or Sunday.
It's just a side hustle while I'm in uni, after all.

Licia: A surprise visit from Aya Morita, that Culinary Arts student we met last night.
When I open the door, she hugs me as if I'm her long lost friend.
But her smile announces who she really came to visit.
I invite her in but, as soon as Daichi leaves for a skill class, she suddenly has to leave as well.
What's her problem, anyway?

Tuesday
Licia: Instead of waiting for the mail to be delivered, we check our laptops at 6 am.
And we both got accepted into our desired distinguished degree programs!
I'm an Art History major and Daichi is a Culinary Arts major.
We each take three core classes plus a Wellness class as an elective. Homework time!

Licia: We arrive nearly an hour early to attend a 5 o'clock guest lecture.
Fine. I'll continue working on my presentation.
Daichi: Do you think I should buy a bicycle?

Wednesday
Daichi: If I can get one more scholarship for at least $85, I'll get a free ride on tuition!
For the Great Outdoors scholarship, would Level 7 Gardening be enough?
Or should I shoot for Level 9 Gardening?
Patchy the Scarecrow's the fastest way to boost that skill, but he's so annoying!

Thursday
Daichi: I check my application status between classes.
On my second try, I'm awarded the $350 Britechester Resident scholarship!
Welp, no need to continue power-leveling my Gardening skill anymore.

Licia: I run into Aya Morita at our front door when I go to ship some paintings on Plopsy.
Darn it. Too late to pretend I didn't hear her knocking!
I go back to my bedroom upstairs, where I'm writing screenplays.
Naturally, Aya heads straight for Daichi. Why am I worried? They're probably just doing homework.
Maybe I could just take a peek?

Licia: Um, Daichi? Why are you doing homework in…
Daichi (scowls): In my speedo? When I told Aya I'm from Tartosa, she asked to see my swimwear.
I told her it's too cold to sit here in my speedo, but she insisted.
Aya: Licia! Are you all done upstairs? Oh, look at the time! I better get going.

Friday
Licia: Daichi has joined me in doing the Academic aspiration.
We almost forgot to attend our third guest lecture today after class.
When I go to select him, I see that Aya Morita is Darby the Dragon, Britechester Uni's campus mascot.
Huh. That doesn't mean I trust her now around Daichi…

Saturday
Licia: We'd worked hard to finish all our schoolwork by last night.
How disappointing to learn that uni students can't visit Selvadorada!
Daichi was looking forward to sampling the Selvadoradian dishes.
Coming to the Spice District in San Myshuno is a bit of a consolation prize.

As of today, I have a major crush on Daichi but he shows no interest in me at all. *sighs
But I don't want to ruin our friendship by pressuring him, y'know?

We hear a noisy ruckus nearby and realize it's Mama leading a demonstration.
Daichi and I decide to join the protest.
It's an odd way of spending our Saturday afternoon.
But better than another screenshot of us studying, amirite?

Daichi: Licia's been missing her parents so I suggest we invite them  to the Festival of Snow.
I get totally hyped about doing some Mt. Komorebi sightseeing!
Fun fact: Yama-chan's hat resembles the ideogram for the Japanese word "yama" (mountain).

The festival foods are disappointing, but the snowscape is stunning.
Licia and her parents look so happy together.
She (I almost said "we," but I'm irrelevant) should make time to see them more often.
Maybe I'll throw a dinner party and invite her family!

Daichi: When I suggested we swim for an hour in Wakaba River, I didn't think your parents were listening.
Licia: Oh yeah, Mama is fearless and Papa would follow her to the ends of the earth.
Daichi: I have the Iceproof trait. Do you?
Licia: Do you think I'd swim in this ice-cold river without it?

Licia: Hey, what's with those swim trunks, Daichi? You told me you wore a speedo!
Daichi: I have two swimwear outfits: a speedo and this pair of swim trunks.
Licia: So that's how it is? Aya gets the speedo but I get the swim trunks?
Daichi: Not to change the subject, but your father's turning blue. Let's leave immediately and get him warmed up!

Watcher: Licia and Daichi spent nearly all of their time preparing for uni or doing schoolwork.
This week did not offer many screenshot-worthy moments. LOL!

*Honeydew Fields (20x15): "Honeydew Fields (EA Reno)" by DevonBumpkin.
I edited the upstairs bedrooms to suit the needs of Licia and Daichi.
The edited patio allows nectar-making and a small garden, but without a nectar cellar.
Daichi doesn't need hardcore nectar-making facilities.
Also, all of Aiden's builds, either from scratch or renovations, are simply fabulous.
  Go watch him on Youtube!

Progress: End of Week 31
Residence: Honeydew Fields, Gibbs Hill (Britechester)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Notes
*Roommate Fail!: My plans for Licia's time in Britechester failed miserably.
I didn't realize that only YAs and older sims have access to the roommate-related options.
I don't want to simply move in two other uni students and play a four-sim household.
Hence, Licia and Daichi moved to a smaller place but with a sunroom and patio. Oh well!

*Felicia's requirements: For her third aspiration, she can choose between two aspirations.
She chose Painter Extraordinaire over Bestselling Author.
She needs to write 10 novels, though, so she might end up doing both aspirations.

*Rustic Rubber Tree Arbor: This pergola from Jungle Adventures seems to have a roof but wasn't sheltering Daichi's garden plants.
I didn't realize this was the case until Thursday or Friday when I noticed only year-round and fall plants were producing harvestables.
So, I ended up building one of my usual freestanding-roof-on-columns thingies in the backyard.

Just a heads-up, Teens can't Tutor for the next level in the Academic Aspiration. But you probably knew that already.

It is annoying that they can't take a vacation while enrolled at uni. You could take a few days between terms if it fits with other plans.

Daichi clearly loves Licia's family. I hope Licia's feeling for him will be reciprocated in time.
