My Sim was at the consignment shop for the seventh time in a row looking to buy a camera,I was having no luck what so ever and then I noticed that the same things were up for sale each time. So I got the Sim to buy a few of the cheaper items to clear up some space on the shelves so to speak. He brought about ten items all together but he eventually got a camera. He spent around $500 which is still cheaper then a trip abroad.

I think this would fit the Ambitions section. Anyway, you don't have to buy the cheaper items if you want new items to show up. Sure, this will speed up the process, but you'll be loaded with useless junk that nobody wants. The cosignment store resets it's items every week (I think, not sure if it's more or less than that).

I think the consignment shop in my latest Dynasty game file restocked, so to speak, every 2-3 days. I had my Sim go consign and check every day and, if I remember correctly, that's what I noticed.

That is very handy I am starting to use the Consignment Store and I really want a Harvester in my Dynasty but so far no luck, the Good Camera would be handy as well but I don't want to risk going to Egypt if I don't need to, but with this method I can get some nifty looking gadget things to display around the Basement and clear room for more items!

I put the items I had bought back into the consignment shop and made my money back plus extra.  I know that if I had checked back that eventually I might have gotten a camera but I am not that patient.
