When I first came to this site, my friend and fellow member, Simmerqueen, suggested that we both try to do the Immortal Dynasty. I had a read through of the rules and then read the Dreamweaver Immortal Dynasty and decided it was a great idea. I have notched up several lifetime's worth of hours on Sims 3 so sure, I was equal to the task.
I overlooked though, that apart from the very early weeks of playing, most of my playing has been horribly cheaty with mods to lessen the load. I am also used to playing on the super long age span too and it is amazing how fast the sim days fly by when you are taking it easy with your feet up thinking you have all the time in the world.
So, I failed miserably. I have learned valuable lessons that I can apply next time but I don't want to throw my present family away because I rather like them. I hope, then, that you will enjoy my meander through a pretend challenge, missing every goal in sight, and tripping over my feet at every turn. It is not just trying to play without the mods but I have never actually had a sim age beyond YA before and never had a sim die. I hope I can do it when the time comes.
So, this is my sim girl, Daisy Eden. I decided on flower names for my family. This will be interesting because I am no gardener and if a flower is not a rose or a daisy, I am pretty much stumped as to what it is.
Daisy got plonked into Riverview, my first big mistake. Despite owning Sims 3 from when it was first released, I have never stepped foot in Riverview therefore I don't know any of the inhabitants or where any of the places are. However, at this stage I was very confident of my abilities to overcome any obstacle.
Although she spent her first night sleeping at the firestation, she soon got her own bed. I thought a good quality bed was worth the investment. Daisy had a job at the Science facility and she had also earned some money in smelting minerals and cutting gems.
Still, life was pretty spartan for Daisy.
