I feel like I must be missing something super basic, because I keep searching and have not found a single mention of anyone having this problem. But how do I change my sims' sexual orientation stuff? When I go into CAS to modify their outfits after they age up, I try to click on the little thing where I thought it was, and it says I can't edit preexisting sims. So how am I supposed to do it? I can't seem to find any other place to change it.

Welcome to the forum!
To change your sim's sexual orientation settings, click on a mirror then select "Change Sim."
Then, when you open up your sim's Gender Customization menu, you can also click on the Sexual Orientation menu on the right to check/modify your sim's settings.

Thank you so much! I kept trying to go in from the CAS link in their personality tab and that was not getting it done. I stumbled into it once, but I couldn't figure out how I did it later. I was very frustrated and felt so dumb because no one else seemed to have the same trouble.
