Goaled Parties Not Working

I'm trying to complete the party animal aspiration, and when I try to start a party by clicking that I want it to be a goal event, all I get is a kava party with no goals.  Just a timer for how long the party will last.  I've tried this a dozen times now.  Any suggestions? I have no mods.

The thread linked below seems to be similar to what you're experiencing. If this is the case, it may be a bug.
