I like seeing the portraits - sim genetics are always fun to watch. Angelica got the best combination by far.

Alvaro is so closing to maxing Military!
I guess your household isn't allowed to use the Wellness socials or write Books of Life yet.
It must be a huge struggle for you to prioritize the restrictions you want to unlock first! *goes to Page 1 to see if you're list your unlocks chronologically

Alex, another immortal sim, can be a curse or a blessing. Do you like her?
Lightwells! Looking forward to how they look when you're allowed to add landscaping. Still, the natural light is nice. :D

Thank you for the collage!
Poor Arrow got the double whammy, Nina's full cheeks plus Flint's wider jawline.
No Books of Life possible. Wellness socials would be allowed but I think the ideal mood would be Confident and that requires level 8 wellness. With only 1 skilling item per skill allowed, no-one is that high. I'm working on more of the household getting level 2 Mischief so they can Instill False Confidence but I think Proper Buttercup & Daisy would get stressed by it.

I'm not a fan of the Glutton trait so I've never brought Alex Moyer into the mix. As she's immortal she may well make an appearance...for now I'm planning to use her as the Superintendent for my Elder-Living complex!

Arrow looks better with his Mr Universe body but now his acne scars are really bad. He's a trooper though. He's even parenting the girls now Alvaro has lost the plot.

Poor Daisy just wants to play with the dollhouse!  At least Granny Nina fixes it when she breaks it  :=)
The interaction between Daisy and Cherry was pretty cute!
Thanks. I do like having the side-conversations going on but am often so busy micromanaging everyone that I miss the photo shots.

Flowers of the Apocalypse 2.8: How Deep Is Your Love

Flowers of the Apocalypse 2.8: How Deep Is Your Love

Agatha: Right – let’s sort this mess out.
Agnes: I count 2 mayors, 2 grocery delivery people and 1 pub landlord.
Agatha: This is ridiculous. And it’s not just after the Fair. These people are all over the place all the time.
Agnes: At least there’s only one of me and you, eh?
Watcher: Don’t count on it!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Cherry: Here I go… I SAID Here I go!!!
Arrow: 18…19…
Avon: !3…14…. Bother. I’ve lost count
Cherry: Uncles! Who’d have them!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Watcher: Happy Birthday.
Cherry: Thanks Watcher. What do you think?
Watcher: I wouldn’t have chosen that hair-style but I’m sure you can make it work.
Cherry: And the wardrobe’s OK.
Watcher: Yes – I like it. A very practical sports outfit.
Cherry: Well – I get my Active trait from Dad.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Buttercup: So, Dad, if you could just remember to go to the bathroom when you start feeling uncomfortable…
Alvaro: Bathroom? Who needs the bathroom? I’m a Brigadier now you know, young lady!
Buttercup (sigh): Yes Dad. That’s great.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Watcher: You know I said I liked your wardrobe…
Cherry: Yes?
Watcher: I’m not sure about the llama jacket with the flowery leggings…
Cherry: Well – it’s too late now!
Watcher: Hm

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Daisy: Hey, sis, this salad is great!
Cherry: Thanks.
Daisy: So why aren’t you having it?
Cherry: Well neither the salad or the tacos are great for breakfast but this is what we’ve got as leftovers this morning. It was pot-luck.
Daisy: We don’t seem to mind, do we?
Cherry: No we don’t!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Buttercup: I think this might be the last time we do our homework outside this Winter. Brrr.. Daisy, why didn’t you put your cold weather stuff on?
Daisy: I get confused because this is my everyday outfit and it’s a thick coat so…
Watcher: My bad

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Cherry: So Dad, about the bathroom thing
Alvaro: Accidents happen.
Cherry: But if you just go as soon as you think you need to…
Alvaro: Too busy. Brigadier’s are very busy, you know!
Cherry (sighs): Yes Dad.
Nina: Hairy Man and I never wet ourselves. I’ve heard that if you paint the door to the bathroom red it might help. Hellooo? Anyone listening? Ah well.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Avon: Dad? Wakey Wakey. Rise and shine.
Alvaro: Hm? What? Oh yes. I’m a Brigadier you know!
Avon: Yes Dad. You’re all washed and had a good night’s sleep. Time for work.
Alvaro: You too, young man.
Avon: Yes, I’ll get there…

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Buttercup: Na na na na na.
Cherry: Oh Buttercup, you are silly.
Buttercup: Better than being mean, sorry about the other day.
Cherry: I know you’re going through a mean streak. As long as you didn’t mean what you said.
Buttercup: No way. I’ll try to rein it in. Still Besties?
Cherry: Always.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Angelica: Come on Soldier Boy, we’re both tired.
Alvaro: Oh ho! The locals are very friendly. You don’t have to ask me twice!
Angelica: I love you, Soldier Boy…

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Cherry: Thanks for playing chess with me, Uncle Cam.
Cam: That’s Uncle Cam with a promotion, you know!
Arrow: Yeah, well done bro. Third one this week!
Buttercup: Can you check my Responsibility bar, Watcher?
Watcher: Hardly moving, even with Arrow’s encouragement.
Buttercup: More teeth brushing then!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Arrow: By the way, bro, that promotion reward!
Cam: Yeah. My research canoe!
Arrow: Well, it looks a bit ridiculous in HoB.
Cam: Well I can hardly carry it around in my pocket.
Watcher: I’ll put it in the family inventory on Sunday.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Daisy: Here I go!
Arrow: Happy birthday.
Daisy: Thanks for the sugar-free carob cake.
Arrow: You’re welcome.
Daisy: I’ve got a cool wardrobe and coloured hair
Arrow: Watcher! She’s got the coloured hair thing!
Watcher: I see it. You can have that style but no colour. Never mind, the rest of your styling is great.
Daisy: Can we get a dog?
Watcher: Nope!

Notes

There’s a theory that people living with dementia remember the colour red the longest so sometimes care homes have red bathroom doors to help their residents find them easily. The household are trying to help Alvaro live well with his dementia but it’s hard to get him to take care of himself.

Note: In order that the full range of teen/adult aspirations are open, I am changing their aspirations on aging up to Young Adult. With High School there are 4 teen-only aspirations and several adult-only ones. What I hadn’t realized is that they get to keep the extra trait that came with their teen aspirations as well as the new adult one. All aspirations are being randomly generated (Education/Babysitter)

I know! Alvaro is struggling more than Flint and Nina did but they'd already completed their careers. .

Alvaro is actually happy more often than not but he does get into a pickle sometimes. I'm so worried he won't succeed.

In Alvaro's defense, he's a Brigadier  ;=)  I enjoyed the running joke with that!
It's so nice how Nina still tries to take care of everyone.
Also, loved the Bee Gees reference with the chapter title!

Flowers of the Apocalypse 3.1: You’re the One That I Want

Cam: Happy Birthday, Buttercup!
Buttercup: Pfft!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Watcher: Yes!
Buttercup: What?
Watcher: You graduated! I was worried because you’d slipped to a D. I’m not sure how far you’d have to slip to not graduate.
Buttercup: Are you going to wish me Happy Birthday?
Watcher: Of course. Congratulations!
Buttercup: Can we get a dog?
Watcher: Nope!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Buttercup: So – no restrictions on my career! I could go into the Secret Service to sort out that bogus Mayor who’s banned pets. Just because she lost hers. She’s lost her mind and I could take over and make it so we can have a dog.
Watcher: Or…you could keep your promise to your sisters that you would do something about teaching?
Buttercup: Oh yes! I remember. Education it is!
Watcher: Phew.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Watcher: You can stop working on that.
Buttercup: But I’m in the middle of an online tutorial.
Watcher: You accepted an early assignment. You need to grade some school work. It’s in that portfolio you’ve got.
Buttercup: Oh right!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Buttercup: I did not miss all those 8am starts to High School. It’s a bit ironic that I’ve got to do them now.
Watcher: What are you wearing?
Buttercup: It’s the dress=code for a Teaching Assistant.
Watcher: But the nose ring?
Buttercup: It was all in the package.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Buttercup: Next level up and still an 8am start.
Watcher: Is that a different colour top? And different piercings?
Buttercup: I can only wear what’s sent.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Angelica: So, Mr Postman, what are your romantic interests.
Postman: Sorry lady but you’re a little old for me.
Angelica: I’ll let that slide but I’m not asking for me. I have 3 beautiful daughters at home and one of them needs a husband.
Postman: Oo – so I’d get to choose? I’d pick the hottest one.
Angelica: Um, maybe I’ll see you tomorrow.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Angelica: My 3rd promotion but I really preferred the other outfits. I hope this one doesn’t hang around.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Angelica: It’s not easy, Soldier Boy. The men in the village are mostly too old already. I hope someone as lovely as you turns up in time for our girls.
Alvaro: Angie Baby?
Angelica: Hello gorgeous. I love it when you’re really here. I know you became BFFs with Avon yesterday, but would you like to be BFFs with me this morning?
Alvaro: Always, darling Angie. That’ll keep me happy all day!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Avon: So not my BFF anymore?
Alvaro: Sorry Avon. Your sister will always be my first choice. She’s the one that I want.
Avon: I understand. You knock ‘em dead today, you hear!
Alvaro: You bet!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Avon: You did it!
Alvaro: Did what? I’m so tired.
Avon: I don’t know how you got to be Grand Marshall with your condition, but who cares. Congratulations!
Alvaro: I’m off for a nap.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Angelica: Aw – he deserves to sleep. He lead the local National Guard in a strike force against the street gangs and muggers, the streets are now safe to travel again.
Buttercup: We can travel?
Angelica: Only within our neighbourhood unless we’re really fit. It’s still dangerous out there.
Cherry: Come on girls, let’s get fit!
Angelica: Wait, wait! Me and your Dad are moving out.
Daisy: What? Where?
Angelica: I’ve been talking to Alex, at the end of the street? She runs a care home and has the facilities to help me look after your Dad, and me when the time comes.
Cherry: But what about us?
Angelica: Your uncle Arrow has agreed to take parental responsibility for you and Daisy. You won’t need it much longer but he’ll be here while you do. My other brothers will help out to. We’ll be over to visit too. When we can…

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Watcher: Daisy? What was that for?
Daisy: I stink. I’ve had nothing fun to do and it’s too cold to jog. Something weird goes on all night because all the plumbing keeps breaking and now Uncle Arrow says I have to mind what he says.
Watcher: You like your uncle Arrow and you know it. Cherry’s just fixed the shower. Go and get cleaned up and then you’ll feel better.
Daisy: So now I have to do what you tell me, too!
Watcher: You always have.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Arrow: Alvaro! Thanks for stopping by. You’re looking good.
Alvaro: Yes – it’s nice down there. I’m doing OK.
Arrow: Here – take a key. Stop by anytime you want. My sister too! We’ll visit when we can.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Arrow: Right, I’m the only one in the household who can travel. I’ve left the teens doing their homework, the others are doing job-tasks. Time to start my mission and the obsolete University campus seems like a good place. The library is out of bounds (Education) but Foxbury campus might be the place…
Dennis Akiyama: Hello, I’m Adventurous and out of work.
Arrow: A good family name…

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Arrow: Who’s this coming in? Oh my!
Grady Yarger: I’m an Art-Loving Geek doing a degree in Programming
Arrow: Those are great traits. Watcher?
Watcher: Argh! My eyes! Please let’s try somewhere else!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Arrow: There’s a gorgeous brunette playing chess in Britechester Commons…I could talk to her
Watcher: Focus! Look – it’s a Landgraab. Always worth checking them out.
Arrow: OK…um…he’s another Grady, Grady Landgraab and he’s, oh dear, Evil.
Watcher: Figures.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Arrow: Hello bowtie!
Haych Tilo: I’m Ambitious and doing a degree in Drama.
Watcher: Could be good but, hey – look at the time!
Arrow: Curfew – get me home, Watcher.
Watcher: On it!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Amos Fyres: Hi – where did you come from?
Arrow: Just back from the obsolete University campus.
Amos: Oh yeah! Isn’t it great that we can travel more!
Arrow: Fyres? Adopted?
Amos: How did you guess? I’m a Child of the Ocean.
Arrow: Just like my brother Cam. OK. Well, I’m having a few people over tomorrow, why don’t you join us?

Notes

With 2 Dog-Lovers still in the house the pressure is on to clear Secret Agent-Villain who needs to sort out the odd laws created by the current Mayor who banned pets because of mourning her own. This is the quirkiest restriction but it makes me laugh.

I can’t tell you how relieved I was that Alvaro maxed the Military Officer career. He’s had one notice from Grim so it was touch and go. I’m hoping he’ll have a new lease of life in their new home. The restrictions that have been lifted are:
•   May not travel outside of neighbourhood nor visit other Sims lots (no loading screen allowed).
•   May not invite Sims over and Sims may not be given residence key.
•   You may still hail and socialise with walk-by Sims as normal.
•   Sims may not move out and intended spouses may not be asked to move in until they are at least young adult.
•   May not do any of the 3 'Get to Work' careers.
•   May not purchase the 'Always Welcome' reward trait.

I haven’t really decided which of Gen 3 will be the one to carry on this dynasty. Currently it’s not Buttercup as I’d like to get rid of the Kleptomaniac trait but we’re still waiting for Cherry & Daisy’s third traits.

Fantastic work, Alvaro! And just in time because Arrow and Avon are seriously on the Spouse Hunt!

Haha, I got a little confused there for a while when you were calling Soldier Boy "Flint."
I kept looking for the ghost.
As you're not American, you wouldn't have heard of the rapper Soulja Boy who had the viral hit song "Crank That," lol.
Whenever Alvaro got called Soldier Boy, I'd remember his second song which I really liked, "Kiss Me Through the Phone."
