Moving Sims Help
« on: December 15, 2009, 02:50:22 PM »
I am fairly new to the Sims3 and have read the instructions, but cannot figure out why it is that when a teen becomes an adult and moves out of the house (placed into a new house),  the house is not recognized when I go into the town or am trying to visit the house by another young adult.  I have two characters that were already in the game and I played them until they became young adults.  I moved them both out and into their own homes as i could not figure out if I could merge them together. They had a romantic interest as teens and I was hoping to continue the relationship in the next stage.

If you've been playing the Sim in your current household and then move him/her out, you should be able to visit the new home.  Did you place them in a specific house or did you kick them out to find their own?  If you know the house, you should be able to click on the house to visit, just like any other.  If you kicked them out, you need to watch when they leave and see where they end up living.  If you don't have a strong enough relationship with the Sims moving out, their house won't show up in map view with a tag because that's only for ones who are at least friends of your Sim.  If nothing else, call them to come visit, ask them to leave, and then follow them home to see where they live now.

I hope this is helpful.

I don't know Pam....my sim Dexter grew up and moved out of his parents house and now their house doesn't show up in the neighborhood. He can't even go visit his parents.  :(

That's got to be some kind of bug or glitch in your game.  I've had several instances where I've moved family out and I can always see their old/new house and visit.
