Literally Seven Heroes 6.6: Read The Small PrintBenita: So, Hondo, this has been fun but I need to get a bowl of Overnight Oats and then I’ve got stuff to do!
Hondo: Good game!
Benita: I did it! I got to level 5 of The Resistance. There was a big crowd waiting to congratulate me. Where’s the photo of that?
Watcher: Well, I was very excited about this screenshot!
Benita: It was amazing. The First Order is really struggling now and The Resistance are making a real difference.
Katniss: That sounds wonderful. I wish I could have joined you but I’ve been too busy doing all these Odd Jobs the agency keeps sending me.
Lessa: Yes. I was hoping you could help me in the shop but you keep getting these offers and you have to take what you can get.
Lessa: Well, you certainly can buy this old chair. Are you sure you wouldn’t like some of the more expensive items? Like that PC over there? Only one careful user.
Elder: Where has all this stuff come from? Is it hot?
Lessa: No – it’s all legit stuff that we bought in better times. We don’t have room for it now although we’re selling some stuff off that we really like. We’re only keeping one of everything, except beds, for the 7 of us. The queue for the loo and shower in the morning is not a fun thing!
Wait a minute! I think I see that Servo-bot eyeing up that top-end PC. I’m coming!
Mara: If I sail around the island at night, maybe I’ll get a look at that monstrosity over the bridge…
Darwi: Hey Benita, could you just get the mail for me, while I finish my stretching. It’s probably more grateful thanks from Clients. You should have seen the new bathroom I put in at the Bathe de Rill yesterday!
Benita: OK. And then I’m off for a run.
Archie Rooster: Don’t mind me in my stripey jumper. Katniss grabbed me and put it on before I could get a squawk out!
Darwi: What? I don’t even remember this guy! Why would anyone sign up for something like this!
Lessa: Oh Libby! The authorities have shut my Thrift Store down! I’d finally started got some good sales, including that PC that Benita always hogged, but now it’s all gone. We’ve put the stock in storage but I don’t know what we’ll do with it.
You’re such a good listener. I know I’m friends with 6 other strays but you’re my favourite – adventurous, vocal and hairy as you are! Actually, you know what? I’m going to adopt you. We’ve got space for a little one and I think you’ll cheer us all up.
Tomoko: Yay! It’s Friday! The lottery gets drawn tonight! It’s going to be great!
Lessa: Um – what? Just a minute. I’ve got a text. Apparently we’ve been sent tickets for the lottery event. Not only that, but they say to arrive early because the ticket includes makeovers….
Tomoko: Wow! You're so lucky!
Esme: Oh – I don’t like this. I don’t like this at all. Has someone got a wrap I can cover all this exposed flesh with?
Mara: It’s kind of nice to be out of dungarees.
Benita: But a bit odd to all be dressed the same.
Darwi: So this is what they’ve been building over the bridge. It doesn’t really sit well in the Islands, does it?
Mara: Surely they’ve not built it especially for tonight!
Clement: Ah! There they are! Lovely girls! Let’s get you to your seats.
Clement: Good Evening and welcome to the Lottery Draw. My name is….Clement Frost and I’ll be your host this evening….let’s have our first act…before the draw itself
…There – live entertainment – you can’t beat it. Now it’s time…
Clement: Who is going to win our life-changing prize for them and their family?
Lessa: Why doesn’t he just get on with it?
Clement: You’ve all been waiting for this moment….
Darwi: Announce it, already, so we can get off for a swim.
Clement: and the Lucky Lotto Winner is….
Clement: Elizabeth Best and her household. Up you come! That’s right – you’ve won!
(Confetti falling from ceiling, people rushing on to hug and congratulate, cue closing, celebratory music, roll credits)
Mara: Wow! So we’ve won.
Clement: Yes, darling Mara! Your whole household has won!
Mara: But what have we won?
Clement: A mansion in an amazing location and entry into a whole interactive, experimental, heroic project.
Elizabeth: The house sounds good but tell us more…
Clement: It’s all part and parcel. Look – it’s a live-streamed phenomenon. You live in the house and go about your daily tasks and people around the Simverse watch and…make helpful suggestions.
Mara: Helpful suggestions?
Clement: You know! Like interesting activities, outfits to wear.
Mara: Why would anyone bother to do that?
Clement: Look – you lovely girls have done so much in various ways, interesting ways, for our Simverse. There’s a lot of interest in you and your household. Take Libby for example.
Lessa: I only just adopted her yesterday. How do you know about her?
Clement: Everyone thinks she’s adorable. A real asset to potential ratings. It's what the Simverse needs to cheer them up in these dark days. They need heroes and they want to know all about them and be involved in their lives.
Elizabeth: No! Absolutely not! There’s no way we’re doing this.
Clement: OK. Here’s the bottom line, Girl! We know all about your Elder-Fitness program. We know all about Lessa’s black market Thrift Store and, thanks to information found on a PC bought there, we know all about Benita’s trips to Batuu.
Elizabeth: I told Lessa to take the other one! Bother it.
Clement: Bother it, indeed! So, unless you fall in line and go along with this project, you’re all heading for the mines in District 12. Now summer’s here, they should be very toasty indeed!
Saturday morningEsme: Well, it’s certainly a mansion!
Darwi: But – District 13 – everyone knows that the people here are weird.
Mara: Strangerville Overlook – well, it lives up to it’s name!
Elizabeth: And there are cameras everywhere! Not in the bathrooms, thank goodness. But everywhere else!
Katniss: Not down in the cellar but that’s only got enough room for our storage boxes.
Mara: Have you seen we’ve got new outfits? There’s a sort of Western theme going on…
Esme: Wait a minute. I've just had my job changed to Opening Act in the Entertainer career.
Benita: And I've changed to be a Regular Contributor in the Writing career. No more fish for me!

Notes• The Lottery screenshot was taken some Sim weeks earlier. It was nearly perfect for the narrative that Elizabeth won (Katniss would have been ideal) and I’ve never had a Sim win the lottery before.
• I will be trying to accept all invitations, job offers, etc that the game suggests, notwithstanding the remaining project requirements.
To the reader – I write this up as I play so it is possible for you to join in the Sim Games experience with suggestions for outfits, jobs, activities. Clement and his team will consider all suggestions for their entertainment potential. I will try to leave time after posting each chapter before moving the story on…
