The Snozzberries (Not So Berry Legacy) 7.3: Hand’s On Experience

Dexter: I know I’m good with my hands so I’ll keep doing what I’m good at. This bluebell here will look lovely in the Spring.

7.3.1.jpg

Watcher: Have you checked the mail, Willie? The flag’s up.
Willie: Great! Is it? I think…yes! It’s the last one in my postcard collection – Dragon Valley. Where is that?
Watcher: It’s a place from long long ago! Not sure how the mail works but basically you can’t go!

7.3.1a.jpg

Willie: Last night was…perfect!
Dexter: Oh yes it was, m’lady.
Willie: Oh good and faithful servant! I love you!
Dexter: Do you like the BLT I made you? I’m still learning to cook so I’m sticking to non-cooker things.
Willie: So good with your hands!

7.3.5.jpg

Watcher: Um….Wanda?
Wanda: Yes?
Watcher: You seem to have developed a phantom pregnancy because – you’re not! Are you?
Wanda: I feel so bloated!
Watcher: I think a reset is in order here!
Wanda: Thanks

7.3.6.jpg

Rowland: This hot tub is a great addition to the garden.
Dexter: I wasn’t sure it would be in the budget but Willie’s given me carte blanche to use the Money Tree funds.
Rowland: It’s another way to relax with the meditation and yoga area over there.
Dexter: The garden’s still a work in progress. I think it will work but until the Spring growth comes in, I won’t really know. I might need to tweak it then.

7.3.9.jpg

Rowland: Hey! Where are you going?
Dexter: I think I heard Willie get back from work.
Rowland: You might want to put some clothes on. It being Winter still!
Watcher: I’ll sort it…in a minute…

7.3.10.jpg

Dexter: I’ll just update my gardening blog. (tap tap tap). That’s odd! Willie’s writing isn’t on here. Unless it’s in a hidden folder. I wonder why she’s got it locked away. I must read one of her books one day.

7.3.11.jpg

Watcher: Willie? Why are you knitting on the loo?
Willie: I was just sitting here and thought…why not?

7.3.12.jpg

Dexter: Ah! Help! What do we need to do?
Willie: He’s here! Welcome little Augustus!
Dexter: And little Septimus!

7.3.16.jpg7.3.17.jpg

Elliot: Hello? Is anyone there?
Willie: Sh! Did you hear someone?
Dexter: Only your breath in my ear.
Willie: Oh Dexter!
Dexter: My Lady!
Elliot: Hello?

7.3.17a.jpg

Watcher: Toddler racing and Augustus is in the lead, closely followed by Septimus.
Augustus: Gussie! Timmy!
Septimus: Timmy! Gussy!

7.3.23.jpg

Willie: This is one of the first I wrote. I hope you like it, Gussie.
Gussie: ZZZZ

7.3.24.jpg

Willie: Today’s royalties are looking really good. I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to be able to keep Candy Constantine a secret. I’m getting better with every book. My agent says the latest have really gone up a notch and are more realistic.
Watcher: Some real hands-on experience, eh?

Notes

Augustus is named for Augustus Gloop from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. Not a particularly likeable character but really the only possible one for the Gen 8 requirements! With his twin brother arriving, Septimus comes from September following August. It made sense at the time.

The titles for Willie's romances are all phrases from Song of Songs - the raciest book in the Bible! (The first two are her children's books)

Augustus and Septimus as August and September.  Love it!
Of course, the best screenshot was when she was checking for pregnancy (or just going potty) while knitting.  Such a practical lady, our Willie!

I couldn't believe she'd  started knitting in there. I don't really understand why people would choose to read in there, but knitting!  What if she'd dropped the yarn? It doesn't bear thinking about.

The Snozzberries (Not So Berry Legacy) 7.4: Pops Rocks And Rolls

Gussie: Mmmmmmm
Willie: Is that good?
Gussie: Mm mm mm mm mm!

7.4.1.jpg

Timmy: You Doll High
Gussie: You Doll Low

7.4.2.jpg

Gussie: Huggles!
Timmy: Hugga Hugga Hugga

7.4.3.jpg

Watcher: Oh – what’s that shot doing in here? No relevant narrative. Ah well, might as well leave it in.

7.4.4.jpg

Wanda: I though you could put this pic in – to show the meditation and yoga part of Dexter’s garden.
Watcher: I really like that tree with the lights. I’ve not seen it before.

7.4.5.jpg

Timmy: Mama Tired?
Willie: Yes, Timmy. Mama is tired. I got another promotion but it’s just really hard work.
Timmy: Sleep Now?
Willie: Probably – it’s all I’m good for tonight!

7.4.6.jpg

Dexter: I need to practise my flower arranging for work so I’m going to make a bouquet for my special lady!
Watcher: And that would be….?
Dexter: Willie, of course!
Watcher: Oh – yes. Of course it’s Willie. I mean, it clearly isn’t for me…?
Dexter: She’s so tired. I don’t think she likes her job much.
Watcher: Right. And you being so good with your hands...

7.4.7.jpg

Timmy: Why You Stuff Slider Up Nose?
Gussie: Nose Bose Hose Wose
Timmy: Giggle
Gussie: Mmmmmm

7.4.8.jpg

Willie: Thanks for mentoring me Pops. Work needs my logic right up!
Rowland: It’s fun to work out my old brain. But you’re a bit stressed.
Willie: Just keep me at it. I’ll max logic and then it’ll be done!

7.4.9.jpg

Timmy: Balls
Gussie: Up UP
Timmy: Hide Down
Gussie: Whee

7.4.10.jpg

Rowland: And that’s where Winter went.
Gussie: Went Where
Timmy: Winter Went
Rowland: You boys keep me young!

7.4.11.jpg

Watcher: Wow, Willie – that looks intense!
Willie: There was no other sensible option but…
Watcher: But what? You’re at the top of your career!
Willie: Yes…

7.4.12a.jpg

Dexter: Why do you do that job if you don’t like it?
Willie: It brings in lots of money.
Dexter: We don’t really need more. Especially with the money tree.
Willie: It just doesn’t feel right – depending on that. What if it suddenly dies back? I’ve heard it happens!
Dexter: I’ll keep it healthy! Anyway – you’ve been working on your writing. Why don’t you publish something?
Willie: Actually…I have been publishing my books.
Dexter: Really? I’ve not seen anything in the shops by you.
Willie: You know the author Candy Constantine?
Dexter: The blockbusters that your grandfather’s always reading?
Willie: That’s me!
Dexter: No! It can’t be!

7.4.13.jpg

Dexter: Willie says I should read this one of Rowland’s books and it’ll prove it. I’ve never read one before. Oh! This bit’s a bit…oh! And this bit ….where it fell open…I didn’t know that was possible….Oh! The shower scene! But – we – oh!

7.4.14.jpg

Willie: Do you believe me now?
Dexter: Oh yes.
Willie: Do you mind that I put it in a book?
Dexter: Well, I was wondering…

7.4.15.jpg

Willie: Yes?
Dexter: Could we see if we could add a few more details?
Willie: Oh Yes!

7.4.16.jpg

Wanda: Let me get this straight! You are Candy Constantine?
Willie: That’s right!
Wanda: But you…. But I…. Oh wow!
Dexter: We’re going to celebrate our birthdays with the boys and then…
Willie: And then I’m quitting my job to write full time!
Wanda: Well, if you’re really Candy Constantine, you definitely don’t need no other job!

7.4.17.jpg

Rowland: OK kiddos! Let me show you how to rock and roll!
Gussie: Bounce Bounce
Timmy: Wiggle Wiggle
Rowland: Shake it babies, shake it!

7.4.19.jpg

Gus (in orange/peach): Read us another story, Pops!
Rowland: You boys! Growing up so fast and still wanting a story!
Tim: Go on Pops! Do all the different voices!

7.4.20.jpg

Rowland: Those boys – they’re great – but I’ll just do a bit of gardening for some peace & quiet. It’s so restful here by the Growfruit tree. Everything’s blossoming with the Spring here. I’ll just lie down on this soft grass…

7.4.21.jpg

Willie: Pops!
Gus: Oh no! This is too sad!
Tim: What will we do without him?
Willie: He looked after us all so well!

7.4.22.jpg

Oona Luna: I’ve come to pay my respects at my Dad’s grave.
Gus: Are you our grandmother?
Oona Luna: That’s right. And I’m a master criminal too!
Tim: Yeah! Right! Pull the other one.
Gus: It’s got bells on!
Oona Luna: Well, anyway, you should come visit some time. I’ve got 2 kids the same age as you and I’ve just adopted a daughter as well.
Gus: OK, thanks
Tim: We’ll get Mum to bring us.

7.4.24.jpg

Gus: Did you hear? Mum’s written another bestseller!
Tim: That’s two! I wonder if she can knock off another one tomorrow?
Gus: It’s funny that they don’t let us read them!
Tim: We just need to find where they’re hidden…

The idea of Willie reading one of her own bodice rippers to the boys as toddlers is just too funny - and now that they're older they want to find and read them! And everyone finally finding out that Willie is the real author!  It's rather sad to see Rowland go; he was really such a great father.

Rest in peace, Rowland! You were a great father and grandfather.
And you were living your best life, surrounded by family in your golden years.

Haha, you've kept Dexter in his gardener's outfit.  Um, he's pretty ripped, isn't he?
What was going on with Wanda's phantom pregnancy?  Were you initially shocked?

Great names for the Gen8 twins and they're so cute!

Willie's first books were Children's books - her bonkbusters came once she'd got a bit of skill. I'm a bit concerned she's not hidden them well enough to keep them away from the boys. I think they're going to be a handful! ::)

Dexter's so good with his hands, he's happiest in his overalls! Plus I gave him the option of removing his shirt for sports - two outfits so it's his choice...nothing to do with his um anatomy.  ;)
I really panicked when Wanda came downstairs looking pregnant. Because I'd had the story on hold, I had to go check her relationships (no romantic ones) and the "buffs" didn't have a pregnancy one. I reset her but the next day was the same. Then Willie gave birth to the twins and the fake pregnancy didn't reoccur after that. I guess it was a funny bug but yes, I was shocked! lol.
I'm really hoping the boys turn out well. With their parents, it should be a shoe-in :D

The Snozzberries (Not So Berry Legacy) 7.5: Your Lips Drop Sweetness

Willie: I’ve got so many ideas in my head, especially from all my research. I’m so glad I’ve given up work, otherwise there’d not enough hours in the day! I’m not sure this one will be a Bestseller but it is Excellent.

7.5.1.jpg

Gus: Partners in Crime! Yes!
Tim: What shall we do first?
Gus: How about selling the exam answers?
Tim: Ha Ha Ha! And then let’s try starting a food fight!

7.5.3.jpg7.5.5.jpg

Willie: The kids are at school and Wanda’s at work. I just want to finish….this….Yes!
Watcher: Well done, Willie. That’s great! Let’s celebrate!
Willie: You go ahead. I’m going to tell Dexter. He’s in the garden.

7.5.5a.jpg

Dexter: Join me in the Hot Tub!
Willie: I’ve just written my 3rd Bestseller. Watcher said we should celebrate!
Dexter: I can think of a way…

7.5.6.jpg

Dexter: Willie? What are you up to now?
Willie: I thought I’d work on my Nerd Brain, now Pops has gone. If we ever get more stuff I’d be able to totally upgrade it.
Dexter: That’s a good idea. We miss him in so many ways.

7.5.8.jpg

Dexter: So you’re the thief!
Fox: Whine
Dexter: We were told to watch out for you but you’re only taking 1 a day.
Fox: Whine
Dexter: I think we can let that slide

7.5.9.jpg

Wanda: I can’t believe it’s your birthday already, boys!
Gus: Well we’ve both got As in school plus I’ve got Whiz Kid and Artistic Prodigy. Mum says we’re good to go.
Wanda: Are you sure that Thursday evening is a good time to age up?

7.5.10.jpg7.5.11.jpg

Wanda: I can carry on helping you with piano and violin but shouldn’t you be studying for your exams tomorrow?
Gus (on piano): I’m playing to calm my emotions.
Tim: So am I. We’ll study in a mo.
Wanda: I’ll just go and clear up the dishes.
Gus: Hey, Tim! Have you searched under the sofa, yet?
Tim: No. You try there and I’ll go through the bookshelf again.
Gus: Those books must be somewhere!

7.5.11a.jpg

Watcher: I see there’s more research going on for your books, Willie!
Willie: Rocket to Earth! Woo Hoo!
Dexter: Is this safe?
Willie: Just don’t push those buttons over there.
Dexter: Can I push these buttons….?

7.5.12.jpg

Watcher: And so the royalties keep rolling in!

7.5.12a.jpg

Gus: Mum and Dad sent us out to jog after school. They said the air would do us good. I don’t know what they’re up to!

7.5.13.jpg

Willie: Come on – Dex – quick while the boys are out!
Dexter: Oh you dirty girl!

7.5.14.jpg

Tim: Thanks for voting me Prom Royalty, Bro!
Gus: And you voted me Jester! What do you think? Does this hat suit me?
Tim: You’re always kidding about. Of course it suits you!
Gus: Shall we go on the Ferris Wheel later?
Tim: Yeah!

Notes
Both of the pranks that the boys tried failed. They’ve both got low Mischief so I think that was the problem. It dropped their performance at school but not by much.

7.5.6a.jpg7.5.9a.jpg

I’ve decided not to change Gus’s hair colour to peach as his black hair really suits his skin tone. There are limited options for peach coloured clothing so I’ve been aiming for yellow, orange and brown. I think I’m happy with the results but I may tweak them.

Hurray! Congratulations, Willie!
And Gus is the new heir?
I agree that peach is a difficult color theme. (I'm happy with my Peach heir having dark blonde hair.)

The Snozzberries (Not So Berry Legacy) 8.1: Research
« Reply #148 on: November 19, 2022, 04:39:57 PM »
The Snozzberries (Not So Berry Legacy) 8.1: Research

Wanda: Willie’s been flashing the cash lately. We’ve had so many improvements and additions. It was so kind of her to get this sleep pod for me. It’s sooooo comfy! Plus I’m looking forward to relaxing in the hot springs and the sauna.

8.1.1.jpg

Elliot: You’re Willie’s boys? I’ve not seen much of her since your father got his feet under the table.
Tim: Shall I?
Gus: Go on, try it!
Tim: Let’s shake hands, Elliot!
Elliot: And?
Tim: It didn’t work..zzzzt…ow! That hurt!
Gus: Let me try. Put it there, Elliot!
Elliot: Ow! That really does hurt!
Gus: My father says hello!

8.1.4.jpg

Gus: This is our time!
Tim: So we’re working on our Mischief…
Gus: So let’s try selling those fake exam papers again!
Tim: Great! I wonder how much we’ll make

8.1.5.jpg

Gus: Yes! We did it!
Tim: Wow! $300? We need to do that again!
Gus: Not too soon. I want to try something else.

8.1.5a.jpg

Willie: You know how you gave up work to be my Research Assistant?
Dexter: What do you want me to work on first?
Willie: Have you seen Wanda’s new Sleep Pod?
Dexter: What do you want to know about it?
Willie: Let’s give it a spin!

8.1.7.jpg8.1.8.jpg

Gus: Argh! Right in my face. Where are the showers?
Classmate: I guess in principle you have pranked the board but…
Gus: I know it’s not very shocking but I was trying to keep it PG.

8.1.9.jpg8.1.10.jpg

Tim: Explain to me again why we’re in the Principal’s office?
Gus: I needed to study for my exam and you needed somewhere to eat your packed lunch. It’s cosy in here!

8.1.11.jpg

Principal: Augustus! (autonomous hug)
Gus: Is this appropriate?
Principal: We’re all very relaxed here!

8.1.12.jpg

Gus: You said we’re all relaxed here!
Principal: But skipping class is not allowed. It’s detention for you!
Gus: But!
Principal: No Buts!

8.1.13.jpg

Gus: You pretend to be all down with the kids but really…
Principal: I am down with the kids!
Gus: Prove it! Streak round the school while we’re all in class.
Principal: You’re On!
Gus: And there's the butt!

8.1.14.jpg

Gus: Well this is no fun! The teacher just sits and watches while that girl bullies that lad. I don’t want to be part of this crowd.

8.1.15.jpg

Gus: Look Principal, I’m sorry!
Principal: Has he behaved himself in detention?
Teacher: Um, I think so. I was nodding off tbh.
Principal: Augustus, you have the potential to do well in high school but if you persist in pulling pranks all the time, you’ve got a poor future.
Gus: I just keep seeing the silly side of things and it’s hard to resist.
Principal: Try, Augustus. Try!

8.1.16.jpg

Tim: Are you sure this is a good idea?
Gus: It’s the Humour and Hijinks Festival. It’s practically demanded of us.
Tim: But you’re already manic! What’s this going to do to us?

8.1.17.jpg

Gus: Thanks for getting me back last night.
Tim: I was so worried. You weren’t making any sense.
Gus: I think I need to follow what the Principal said. No more pranks!
Tim: You could try writing jokes down. That might be more safe.
Willie: Safe? Why are you worrying about being safe?
Gus: Nothing Mum
Tim: Nothing at all!

8.1.36.jpg

Dexter: When you said you wanted to visit the museum, I thought you wanted some historical research doing.
Willie: I need a more practical sort of research!
Dexter: Hm mm!

8.1.21.jpg

Dexter: All this research we’re doing, I hardly get any time to myself. But this climbing wall is going to help me get fit. I’ve always wanted to reached the heights on Mt Komorebi.

Gus: Baking is fun! I’ve mastered all the gourmet recipes but I’ve got a hankering for some sort of sweet cakey thing. I’ll know it when I find it! It’s keeping me out of trouble anyway! So relaxing. I like playing the piano but…mm…food always hits the spot.

Dexter: So what are we role-playing this time?
Willie: I’m a smuggler, skirting the edge of the law and you’re a Prince on the run from an evil empire.
Dexter: That sounds familiar…
Willie: You’re right. Hm! I wonder if there’s another angle.
Dexter: Well, while we’re here….
Willie: The Dwelling?
Dexter: Yes, let's!

Willie: I’ve got no secrets from you, Dexter.
Dexter: What about the vault you’ve had installed on the landing?
Willie: It’s keyed to open for you too. Anytime!
Dexter: What do we keep in there.
Willie: Come on in and I’ll show you.

Willie: So much to write down. Now the boys are at High School and I don’t have to worry about them, it’s great to have all this time for my writing.
Watcher: And the research?
Willie: And the research.
Watcher: You might want to keep a closer eye on the boys.
Willie: They’re grades are so high, they’ve been offered early graduation. They must have been behaving themselves!
Watcher: Right! I wonder how that works…. Maybe some research…

8.1.35.jpg

Oona Luna: I was so glad your whole family decided to come to the Spice Festival.
Dexter: We wanted to catch up with you Granny.
Oona Luna: I don’t feel much like a granny. I’ve just adopted another toddler!
Dexter: Kameron will be pleased.
Oona Luna: By the way, that’s your great grandmother playing the guitar – Rowland’s wife!
Dexter: No way!

Notes

Gus’s pranks didn’t succeed until he got to level 5 Mischief.

Willie’s writing research has explored all 19 possible WooHoo locations for the packs I have. There are 2 more possible but they are not currently accessible to her and her research assistant (Dex). One is in a pile of leaves – only possible in Autumn. Her research assistant is working on making the other one possible! There are 2 others from the Vampire pack but I don’t have that.
Researched Locations: Hot Springs, Dumpster, Vault, Rocket, Lighthouse, Bush, Sleep Pod, Closet, Waterfall, Shower, Tent, Bed, Hot Tub, Sauna, Observatory, Photo Booth, Tunnel of Love, Animal Shed, on Batuu.

Rofl, I'm shocked that neither Willie nor her Research Assistant have thrown their back yet.
I recommend squats for lower back pain. Er, according to a friend...
Is it just my imagination or does Willie spend more time researching than writing lately?
🤣🤣🤣
