Thanks everybody for the replies! I followed your advice and decided to marry Holly Alto. She's already a young adult in my game and my sim has 9 days till adult. BUT, due to Holly's poor inheritance, I decided to move in both her and Agnes Crumplebottom. Agnes brought her luxury car with her, I sold it and now my sim has a cozy house, the museum is underground, he has finished his best friend requirement (6 best friends), has fishing skill level 7, and it happened only in 4 days! I really should make up a story of this... Thoughts?

Thanks, but I play in Sunset Valley. I'm really impressed of the Barnacle Bay family (150,000$), but I don't have Barnacle Bay either *sigh* Anyway thanks for the research!  ;) And, by the way, my sim (Nick Malanche) has already 41,000$ in family funds. I really like this new dynasty even more than my previous one!

So in fact you are looking for indeph information on YA sim traits in Sunset Valley? You can do that really easy by changing households to check the YA one by one. If you can't do that in a Dynasty, you can do it in an new game and remembering the outcome of it.

I did what Leto's talking about, way back before starting my first Dynasty attempt. I have a spreadsheet to prove it.

In my most recent attempt, my founder married Agnes.  She came in with that killer car and painting skills, and I must join the chorus that says that she's actually very pretty with a better hairdo, and the money starts not to matter very quickly.  She had decent-looking kids, too, unlike the horrors that happened when I had an attempted founder marry Julienne Knack in Twinbrook.   ::)

My sim, Nick, married Holly Alto and she brought just 2000$ with her, and no car! You see, she's eco-friendly, ran to my house. But I really like her skills! Agnes is their roommate, by the way. And Holly is pregnant! I'm right now making up a proper story out of this and will represent it very soon!

I don't think I haev ever had a sim marry Holly Alto. I prefer Agnes with her almost Maxed Skills and car. The Traits are not great but it never takes long to change them.  :)

What skills did Holly have? Did you marry her when she was already well into adulthood?

She had high cooking, painting and some gardening (level 2, I guess, I'll check later). Yes, she is a Young Adult with 12 days till Adult.

When I had my new male founder start his Lineage, he married Agnes, who was still a YA. She brought level 8 painting, level 6 cooking, $20k, and no car.

Of course, I spent the money on giving them a nice house with no cheapie furniture. :-\

Their daughter is almost a child - and once I changed Agnes' hairstyle and gave her some makeup, she's quite pretty.

I recently started the Immortal Dynasty in Sunset Valley too. The first 2 weeks of my founder were not a frank success. The life at the fire station was everything but comfortable and money was scarce. Then, the clock was ticking since he needed a trained spouse to paint his YA portrait. He started the spouse hunt, and well, Holly was just next door, right?

I think I was pretty lucky. She came with 3-4 points in painting, enough to reach portrait-level soon, some logic and writing skill points too, a nice 20.000$ and .... the Margaret expensive car in her inventory (+100.000$, yesss).

Life is much better in the 'RedShoe wannabe dynasty' now.

Oh, yeah. 3 cheers for wealthy Immortal Dynasty Founders! I chose Agnes all 5 times. That challenge is hard enough as it is — it's incredibly long, so you'd better have serious playing stamina, and then there's a million requirements to remember. So, why kick yourself in the kneecaps at the beginning and do the poverty bit?
