Can't visit Carl's forum anymore without going through a CAPTCHA

Since one or two days ago, whenever I click on my browser bookmark for Carl's Forum, I get redirected to a "Are you a robot" page where I need to compltete a CAPTCHA test.
Sometime I'm then sent back to this forum, other times I need to do the CAPTCHA thing several times first.
It's not happening to me at the other site I frequent (Goodreads).
Is this happening to anyone else?

I guess I should only log in once a day? I always log out when I'm not actively reading stores or challenge rules.
Maybe I should also disable myVPN before hitting that bookmark, too.

Hmm.. That shouldn't be happening, unless there's something that has been turned on in your browser. I'll pm Carl to let him know of the issue. Thank you for posting about it.

Just an FYI, I just got it too, and I have mine set to never log out unless I log out physically. I got a snippet of it and sent it to Carl.

I'm using Firefox and am not getting the captcha prompt. I'm still not sure what's happening, but am wondering if something was added into the site some how and not by Carl. That's happened before.

Carl should be able to figure it out and get it cleaned up.

You shouldn't have to limit yourself on how many times a day you login.

If anyone is experience this issue, please feel free to post in this thread.

Sorry this is happening. I hate false positives but something happened recently (not on forum) that required me to use some cloudflare security settings. I'm hoping that a change I just made will limit this happening to people. I think it's because of logins and such being used here, but I tried to lessen this in the forum just now. Since it's not happening to me, I'd love it if you guys can continue to give me some info on how it's going. Some are telling me it's just fine, while some of you seem to run into it.. I've made it so that if you pass the challenge it shouldn't do it again for quite some time.

Well I get it some of the time now but not always. I think it happens when I switch devices. It is sad when there are bad actors that sometimes makes it necessary to add security like CAPTCHA but Carl got to do what carl has to do to keep this site safe.

I just got it too.  I visited the site yesterday and it didn't happen.  Just thought I would let you know that it happened to me too.

This is really weird. I don't know so how many people are having this captcha issue. I'm going to have to talk to support about it, I suppose. I didn't have much say in this, but right now wish I had a way to exempt the forum as it's not of issue here. I made an effort to, but evidently it did not work.

I will add I don't experience this issue at all (Firefox 94.0.2 on my home Windows 10 PC). As a test I VPN'd into my University, opened an InPrivate window, logged in (staying logged in, in my normal Firefox instance) and browsed a bit - still nothing.

I too use Firefox 94.0.2 on PC and have no problems logging in.

Well It only happens when I browse thr forums with my phone then later with my PC. I never had the issue on my phone and only have the issue with my PC after using my phone to browse the forum.

I received this error. I accidentally went to visit http://carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/3 (I pressed 3 at the same time as I pressed enter on my numpad). Immediately attempting to visit the right url, I did not get the error. From playing around, I seem to only get it in a specific case: visiting the forum over http not https. Any http protocol request seems to trigger Cloudflare.

So, my question is, do I have to change something to get rid of that intro?  I find it very annoying to have to do that each time I want to come to the forum. It won't stop me from coming in here, but still annoying, lol.
