Well, now that Nell has moved on (and pregnant again, even), Tania can finally proceed to Step 2 of her family planning.
Congrats on helping another sim achieve their Big Dream, Watcher!

Regarding going home from Selvadorada, your sims didn't have the option on the phone to "End Vacation"?
I love the Jungle Adventure content! My dynasty just hasn't made it there yet with so many Big Dreams to choose from.

The name Cobweb reminds me of: Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive..."

I suspect it was but it was such a surprise that I panicked and did the first thing I could think of. I've never had a drinks suggestion taking my Sim to a holiday destination before

I keep wanting to use this quote! In my head, it's clearly a Shakespearean quote but no! It's Walter Scott!

2.9: Let Our Bloody Colours Wave!

Year 2: Spring Week 1

Satoru: How long is Nell away on her honeymoon?
Tania: Who knows? They moved into a penthouse apartment and sound very happy there.
Satoru: Are you OK looking after Cobweb?
Tania: It’s easier if anything – no photo shoots to prepare for. Or hiding that she’s looking more and more like a girl every day!
Satoru: She’s so cute. I like helping
Tania: If you’d like to help me – how about moving in?
Satoru: How about doing it properly? Tania Wesseldine, would you do me the honour of being my wife?
Tania: I’d love to!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Nana: These suckers keep hanging around! All the paparazzi were easy game while Nell was here but it’s not too hard to find fresh meat.
Polly (on phone): We’ve heard about all your fights – it’s not great for your reputation!
Nana: Who said that?
Nana: Was it me?
Nana: Must’ve been
Nana: How many fights have we had?

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Nana: Maybe I’ll stop now.
Dirk: Wow – Tania dresses Cobweb in pretty clothes. He’ll get confused!
Nell: Boys can wear anything these days – it’s a thing.
Dirk: Well, Cortez looks just fine in traditional boys stuff.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Tania: Hi guys! Congratulations on your baby boy, Cortez. You must be very happy.
Nell: Yes, he’s a special little man.
Dirk: We were just wondering – well – the apartment isn’t that big and we’re just about coping with the baby – would you carry on looking after Cobweb for now?
Tania: I will, but only if you let me adopt Cobweb properly!
Dirk: Oh, I don’t think so!
Tania: Nell? You know if makes sense for HIM to stay with me permanently….
Nell: Dirk darling, if Cobweb is settled here…
Dirk: I need to think about this.
Nell: Get the papers drawn up, Tania. We’ll talk!
Tania: Let me just see why Knox is knocking at our door.

Nana: You’re evil, Ellen. Nice to meet you

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Nana: You’re erratic Tsutomu – oh – and a bit flirty!

Nana: How did I not know that our gardener is a) erratic and b) called Nanami!

Nana: You’re a hard & evil person to befriend, Malcolm. I hope it’s worth it.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Nana: I’m not sure why Malcolm and Gideon didn’t come but, the rest of you – my good friends – are very welcome. Let’s eat!

Grim: Ah - swimming pool with fencing all round – and it’s still cold in this first week of Spring. Classic!
Nana: Oh I’m so sad – oh wait, I’m not. He was just a bartender that I’d been fighting with a lot.
Grim: You don’t even remember his name? Oh wow, girl! You’re cold!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Nana: Nope, I’m not cold. But he was! Now I do like your outfit!
Grim: Thank you, I’m sure
Nana: I would take a photo with you, but I don’t seem to have that option.
Grim: Never mind. I like you anyway!
Nana: Hello darkness, my old chum!

Notes

“Sound trumpets! Let our bloody colours wave!
And either victory, or else a grave.” Henry VI Part 3

I’m not a fan of Shakespeare’s historical plays but that is where all the quotes on fighting are.

It’s been all about Nana this week. She did one more fight than necessary and, maybe down to all the phone calls from friends telling her to stop, she is putting her fighting behind her (unless she gets a whim to). I’m thinking of creating a special room in the house containing all the things she likes doing to save walking time.

I tried to kill the sim off by having floor radios and sprinklers in an enclosure but the sparks never happened…

Satoru’s Big Dream is easy to work out. Who will be First To Post?

Haha, Satoru's Big Dream is Eco Warrior. You were smart to bypass the insect farms, LOL!
I'm glad his name got sorted out--I'd been perplexed by Saturo even though he doesn't look Asian. *winks
And still room for Tania to have those three kids!  Oh wait, what's that they say? First comes love, then comes marriage....

But most more importantly, a HUGE congrats to Nana and her Watcher on the 67/66 fights!
Building Nana her very own whim room is a genius idea! And she's halfway done already!

Great job, Watcher!

Yes @oshizu ! Of course, it's Eco Warrier

Deepest apologies for getting Satoru's name muddled up - my brain doesn't always hold onto the details. No, he doesn't look very Asian and his birth family are a jumbled mix. If I can, I'll bring them into the story a bit if you've not met them before in other simverses.

By the way, since we're both doing Eco Warrior, I want to share what I've learned about Freelance Crafter gigs.
In the past, I had trouble completing the gigs and learned from an EA Answer HQ thread that it's an unresolved bug.
As of two weeks ago, this bug is still not fixed: The thread is here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-ECO-Master-Maker-Aspiration-Counts-candles-before-making/td-p/9193630

In summary:
*The rug gigs never complete
*Candle gigs and juice gigs seem to complete
*For items made on the Fabricator then auto-moved to household inventory, such items must first be placed in the world then clicked on to send to client for approval.
Sending a fabricated item directly from household inventory won't result in a completed gig,

I'll play-test later and perhaps post about it in the BDD Hints & Tips thread.  For now, though, I wanted to let yo (and Satoru) know. <3

Satoru thanks you for the heads-up!
I love the Freelance concept - picking up and taking jobs round other demands - but it's been glitchy from the start!

By the way, have you found a good solution for sims "misplacing" their digitalistic sketchbooks and drafting tablets?
I keep having to buy replacement drafting tablets for my Eco Warrior because I can never find where she last left hers. Grrrr.
Ideally, we could attach the sketchbook or tablet to the sim with a chain linked to their belt or something. lol

No work around - just keep all floors and surfaces light in colour so it shows up better.
Both Satoru & Tania have them for work so I'm tearing my hair out!
However, when I start thinking they really ought to "fix" it, I remember that it's more true to life than I'd like it to be! Lol!
Now - where did I leave my other glasses, rofl 🤣

A Wesseldine's Night Dream 2.10: We Know What We Are Now
« Reply #99 on: December 13, 2021, 02:38:39 PM »
2.10: We Know What We Are Now

Satoru: With Puck looking after Cobweb…
Tania: I’m not sure that’s a great idea
Satoru: I want to show you somewhere…what do you think?
Tania: Um…

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Satoru: I really want to work on developing an area based on green principles and here is the biggest challenge.
Tania: It’s not very…
Satoru: Green. I know. But I can work on that.
Tania: The air quality is a bit…
Satoru: Thick. Yes but some of the NAPs already in place are working on that
Tania: Puck & Nana might need a bit of persuading but…
Satoru: They’ll come round, if you say yes?
Tania: If you let me finish a sentence…let’s do it

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Tania: We’ll need to remodel
Satoru: The estate agent lent me the key if you want to look inside. There’s not much here, just a bathroom, really.
Tania: A bathroom with a shower?
Satoru: Oh Tania!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Tania: Puck! What is this?
Puck: You asked me to organize a party!
Tania: For Cobweb’s birthday! Why is there a keg here?
Puck: Oh – you know – a bit of entertainment…

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Cobweb: Mummy? Help me blow out my candles?
Tania: It’s OK, sweetie. Mummy’s a bit busy showing her moves to the rest of the family. Tania will help you.
Cobweb: Mummy Tania?
Tania: Yes, darling, Mummy Tania!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Cobweb: What do you think of my outfit?
Tania: That’s very clever of you! Just in case anyone’s watching…Oh no! Puck! This is totally inappropriate for a children’s birthday party! Uncle Sandy! I thought you’d know better!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Tania: Aw honey, I’m sorry your dad didn’t make an appearance at your party and that Puck made it a bit too lively.
Cobweb: It’s OK, Mummy Tania, you made it special for me. I love you!
Tania: I love you too, Cobweb. Tomorrow is going to be moving day.
Cobweb: I wish it were just you, me and Satoru going.
Tania: We need to look after Puck & Nana a little longer. It’ll be OK

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Satoru: I can’t believe that Nana & Puck have adapted so well!
Tania: I told them that we were keeping our new location secret so they could avoid certain people, if they needed to…
Satoru: Let’s go and vote for the community space to be for makers!
Tania: Yes, but before we do that. Do you want to feel the baby?
Satoru: You’re kidding! A baby? That’s wonderful! But when?
Tania: You remember the shower…?

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Saturday evening
Tania: The family basinet has come out of storage – everything’s all ready…Ow ow ow…
Satoru: A baby boy – let’s be original – I’m thinking Moth? Wait – what is it?
Tania: Ow ow OW!
Satoru: A baby girl too! Let’s go with the flow – Peaseblossom!
Tania: Blossom for short! 2 new fairies to add to our little family.

Year 2, Week 9, Day 1
Progress:

Nana – Dark Side Lady: whims completed 447/666

Puck – Mischief Maker: Retail perks 5; Gold Parties - 2/3 (incognito, keg)

Tania – Family Matters: Aspirations – Big Happy Family 1/4, Super Parent 1/4; Career Style Influencer 7; Skills - Parenting 10, cooking 10, painting 10; Fertile bought; babies/toddlers 3/3; top-notch toddlers 1/3

Cobweb (child) - ?: top-notch toddler

Satoru – Eco-Warrier: Make up collection Frogs 15/25; Career Civic Planner 4; skills - Fabrication 4, Handiness 4, Gardening 4; Eco-oriented upgrades 4/10

Moth (nooboo boy)
Blossom (nooboo girl)

Notes

“My lord, we know what we are now, but not what we may become.” Ophelia, Hamlet

Who knew you could enter a vacant lot and “take advantage” of the shower? It was a new one on me!

I’m not 100% sure that Cobweb can count towards Tania’s 3 children but I think she’s planning more anyway, in case anyone is concerned. Obviously, a Mustardseed needs to join our Titania’s fairy band!

The family pic shows 2 different skin tones for the twins but baby skin tones don’t always indicate what their child tones will be.

Wow, look at Nana go with her whims at 447/666!  What a gal!  Such focus!

Awww, poor Cobweb--her mom's too busy busting moves for the crowd to help her blow out the candles. So typical, haha.
I love how well Cobweb has taken to her new parents, Tania and Satoru.
And yes, Tania/Satoru nooboos! I can't wait to meet them as toddlers.  And lucky parents with their girl/boy twins!

You seem to be moving every generation. Or has it been even more often than that?
Do you move each time a new couple moves into the foreground?

I'm really enjoying reading about your sims. Best wishes in Port Promise!

Some dynasties/legacies have to stay in the same spot which I don't mind but you'd never choose some worlds for that. Playing the Big Dreams on long gives so much more time to explore the other areas and some Big Dreams work much better in certain worlds, like the Rancherino in HoB.

For the Eco-Warrier, as I think you've found, you need the community board in your own region to be able to convince someone to vote so they can go do it straight away. And you can't just install the board - you have to find it or create it as a room to download from the gallery and then it's on your own lot which is weird. It's much easier in the (grungy) Port Promise and I do enjoy playing this particular lot - a tale of redemption, as it were.

I also find my houses always become sprawling after a time. It's nice to start from fresh every now and then.

Tania will create a little nest for her fledglings wherever. She even mothers her cousin Puck although she might be a lost cause, lol!

Notes

Nana is still progressing well with her whims – I cancel all the ones that need travel or take a long time. She wanted to make a lot of meals which started to show on her waistline so I changed the club activities and her aspiration (to bodybuilder) so now she wants to jog, etc more.

Other than a few swipes to stock her “store” Puck has done very little. She failed at a Lampoon Party but that was more down to my lack of research…

The progress of Cobweb, Moth & Blossom says more about Tania’s Big Dream than theirs. The only hint available is that their names indicate (very tenuously) what they might be dreaming of.

You're right about Blossom and Moth being adorable!  I hope the third one will have Satoru's hair color.  Well, but only if their Watches does, too, lol.
Oooooh, Nana's so close to finishing now. Go, Nana, go!

Hmmmm, Cobweb's upbringing has been stellar and she has completed one extra childhood aspiration too many to simplify guesing her Big dream, lol.
At this point, I only know what it will NOT be, hehe.
I have two guesses at Blossom's Big Dream, I'm reserving for now.
As for Moth, I got nuttin', lol.

2.12: Forget Your Evil

Year 2, Spring Week 4

Satoru: Come on, you people! Don’t you care about this community!
People: It’s doing fine
Other people: Will you getta load of this bloke?
Other people (totally ignoring him)
Satoru: Why do I bother? Oh because this affects my career! Argh!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Peaseblossom: All the family want to do is work out so I might as well join them!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Moth: I love swimming, but I love creating more!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Cobweb: I really need to exercise! I don’t know how I got uncle Sandy’s fat genes for my teen birthday but at least all the jogging is paying off. Maybe the watcher might bother to give me a makeover now!
But first, let’s see who’s out there…

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Prank Day
Nana: I love prank day! I’m so glad our house rules let me prank people outside the household. Let me make this prank call to Jesminder!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Nana: Tania, darling! I’m resigning as the club leader.
Tania: But why? Who’s going to lead it now?
Nana: Puck will take over for now but I’m sure you’ll keep an eye on her. I’m off to San Myshuno.
Tania: Won’t Puck miss you?
Nana: I’ve never been much of a mother to her – more of a partner in crime. She’ll join me when she’s ready.

Year 2, Week 13, Day 1
Progress:

Nana – Dark Side Lady: whims completed 666/666 – moved out to San Myshuno

Notes

“Do as the heavens have done, forget your evil; With them forgive yourself.” A Winter’s Tale

Oh Nana! You have taken up so much of my game time, especially the long nights when all the rest of your household were asleep. I loved that you kept wanting to have a baby because of the lot’s fertile trait. And that you kept wanting to volunteer with your family even though it would’ve made you stressed if I’d let you do it. Your evil side only showed in your characteristic laughing or when the club was not meeting and you wanted to be mean to Puck instead of hugging her. Will you keep turning up, like Nell? Or will we have to keep you away once your evil side is no longer controlled? I know what the large cuddly toys will have to say about that!

Anyway - it seems only fitting that Nana completed her 666 whims on Prank Day with a prank call; that she was confident 333 times and that she has moved to 888 Spire Apartments in Uptown San Myshuno

Whilst I was glad to avoid working for the -ve character traits for the Dark Side Lord/Lady Big Dream, she would've have been adding to her whims from a toddler so the final part wouldn't have dragged on. Having said that - I'll miss her!
