Congrats to Miguel and Nyarah! R.I.P Susie. I soon as you said you won't like this update then to Alexandria I though,"Oh no someone's going to die!" Then I realized Quian was Immortal...
Thank you Gogowars, yeah it was Susie's time, sure did rain on my wedding parade though *sigh*
RIP Susie -sniffles- You will be very much missed.
Velmoor - make sure to watch after your son.
Congratulations to the happy couple! *Confetti*
Yay nooboo! *confetti*
Awesome 12k views *confetti*
Thank you Ricalynn, yup, the nooboo plane is soon to land, we'll all just concentrate on the incipient cuteness as much as we can.
Velmoor: I will of course keep an eye on my boy, but he's level headed, and has a support system that larger than even just this household.
*sniffles*
Stupid Grim and his bad timing. Velmoor, if I catch up with him, I'll hold him down for you...
Thank you Cathyknits, it really was bad timing, couldn't Grim have waited just a few hours! *Sigh* but no, he can't.
Velmoor: You don't have to hold Grim down, I have a device for that! Ooo, and a punching machine I've been dying to try out, now I've just gotta go talk to Artie Grim so I can make sure I pummel the right one, I don't mean to sound discriminating, but all the Grims look the same to me, I've seen he can tell them apart.
Here I was all warm and fuzzy over Nyarah and Miguel's engagement and then, like a bucket of ice water, Susie passes away! *sniffle* It was a beautiful wedding anyhow and I know Susie is watching over her daughter and son-in-law and soon-to-be grand-nooboo.
Thank you Katluvr, I know exactly how you feel, I was all psyched up for this beautiful, coming full circle, last wedding and first wedding in the same place, event, all misty eyed with happy romance, and then BAM Grim shows up, not the kind of wedding I was thinking of, let me assure you.
Awww, heartbreak and happiness all in one party! R.I.P. Susie. I guess she forgot that the Grim likes to become the main event when invited to a party.
YAY for nooboo coming!
Thank you lilygirl, Grim certainly is a show stopping kind of guy, but I'm still a fan, even if his timing can be terrible.
Aw no! Not Susie!
The start to the wedding was a sad one, poor Nyarah
But it was sweet of Susie to leave to allow Nyarah to have a child.
On a side note, I love that scene with Quain at the piano.
Thank you Alexandria, I try not to let the dying get me down, but this one was so cruelly timed, not just for Susie who wished to see Nyarah get married, but for the whole family, so I'm rushing toward a nooboo to perk me up again. Quain looks so happy when he plays piano, and I love that!
Aww, that was such a bittersweet moment - losing your mother on your wedding day. *sniff* We'll miss you so much, Susie, RIP.
Go Velmoor, punch that stupid Grim, he deserves it!
I'm just crying here and all sad..
Awesome update, tho.
Thank you Chronic, Grim does deserve it, maybe I'll see if Velmoor can pick a fight with a Grim before he pops off again, that would be funny, and cathartic. I'm so upset at Story Progression right now, I try to make a light funny story and chance is all "no, there's no way you can spin this off lightly Mwah-ha-ha"
In truth I have been waiting for Susie to die for several updates now. Every time I was so happy that it wasn't her time yet, for some reason I really liked her persona. It's heartbreaking she couldn't stay just a few more hours to watch Nyarah get married. I hope she has many limos in her afterlife!
Hahaha *wipes tears out of her eyes*
The first time I read that line I misread carved for curved. I can just hear him sing that.
I LOVE your little "songs"!
Thank you Phyre, she rested at 95 so I was hoping she might hold on just long enough for the wedding, but no such luck. Susie was a charismatic leader type, I wrote her to be liked, and I'm glad I succeeded. I enjoy writing little silly couplet lines, I don't get much call to use them though, another reason writing this story is so much fun.
Juxt, I just love how you entertain me with all your updates.
RIP Susie
Congratulations Nyarah and Miguel
Thank you SassySimmer I'm glad I could slip a few smiles in with the sadness. I was certainly trying.
Beautiful wedding. R.I.P. Susie. Can't wait to see the nooboo though.
Thank you Esther, it won't be long now, nooboo time is near! Do me a favor and have Agnes punch Story Progression a good one for me?
ME: With a slot opened in the house, and Susie's last wishes being very clear, Nyarah and Miguel begin attempting to start a family.
Nyarah: I didn't hear any chimes, but mom said I need to eat plenty of watermelon when trying to get pregnant, mmm, it's delicious, good thing I've grown a big supply.
ME: When I send Quain of to the graveyard, there's a special ghost who seemed to just be waiting for him.
Quain: Mother, you're here, please hold me, I feel as though my heart's been ripped out!
Allison: I know it feels as though she's been taken away from you, but though our mortal forms are gone, and we can't stay long in this world, those who have passed on are still with you. We are all so proud of you son, even those ancestors you never met, they know your name, and we have watched you with pride in our hearts.
Quain: I'm so glad you're here.
Quain (1): If you're all still here, why do we need graveyards?! Why can't you all just come back to life and live with us?!
Allison (1): We don't have that kind of power Quain, it's tiring just to manifest, and without the energy that resides here, our spirits might fade, or become restless.
Quain (2): I don't want to leave my wife here! All alone, we're both all alone!
Allison (2): You're not alone Quain, you have your whole family waiting for you at home, and I have a whole family here. I will care for Susie, she won't be alone.
ME: Nelson Littler also decides to pop out of his grave, my graveyard has been pretty active lately, with important ghosts popping about.
Allison: Now that I've done what I came to do, time to unwind a bit in the world of the living.
ME: Allison goes to the Gym, apparently they don't have exercise equipment in awesome Sims afterlife. Do you know how odd it feels to be stalking a ghost car through the city in the middle of the night, pretty darn weird, I'll tell you!
Quain (1): There's something about fishing, Susie spent so much time by my side reeling in fish, it almost feels like she still is there. I keep looking over to see her, I wish I could.
Quain (2): Ooo an underwater birthday cake in a box, umm, I don't want to eat that, sorry.
Nyarah: Why do stars, fall down from the sky, every time you walk by? Just like me, they long, to be, close to you.
ME: Wow, umm, that look on your face sure is, umm, something, Miguel. Maybe she hit a sour note?
Velmoor: That's right, natural gas
is flammable, my bad. I totally lost
that bet!
ME: *Sigh*
Woohooium: *Glow, glow, glow, heart*
Nyarah (Internal Monologue): Well, I didn't hear the chimes, but mom said I'm eating nothing but watermelon until the baby is born, so that's what I'll do.
ME: Yay! You can't try for a baby anymore!
Nyarah: Why is that a good thing, I want a baby!
ME: I don't want to spoil the surprise for you, you'll see soon enough.
Nyarah: Sometimes I think you keep secrets just to aggravate us.
ME: Yuppers.
Next Time: Proud parents get ready for their new roles.
