Reed Dynasty: The 7th Wonder
« on: January 10, 2011, 11:50:06 PM »
So after my 6th attempt at completing a dynasty failed (my first on the forum) I have decided that this will be my final attempt. I decided to start completely over hopefully with better luck. And besides Phoenix Costello is tired of trying over and over again to complete a dynasty. So I being the wonderful person I am have decided that both Phoenix and Billy shall live forever in Riverview with their twin daughters.

Reed Dynasty

My name is Naja Reed. My past isn’t important. Lets just say that I left Bridgeport with no intentions of ever going back. With the money I saved by working in the graveyard in high school I am able to move to Sunset Valley and buy a piece of land. Buying such a large piece of land left me with very little simoleons but after a lifetime in cramped apartments and dirty city air it was well worth the price. On my way to Sunset Valley I stopped in Riverview and met Phoenix Costello. A nice lady once you get past that crazy nonsense about being a star, constellation or whatever she thought she was. Anyways she told me that rumors about immortal Sims weren’t rumors at all. Apparently by completing a series of tasks I and my family shall be granted with the gift of immortality. Sounds pretty good to me, to live forever. I wonder why she never did it.

I decided to visit the library to brush up on my gardening skills while there I met the Bunch clan. They seemed like interesting people but I am not so sure that the teenage daughter Lisa Bunch is all that nice of a person. However Ethan bunch seemed like a good guy. I asked him about the guys in town. He gossiped about some guy named Jared Frio and told me that Jared was rude obnoxious inappropriate and just plain mean.

He told me to head over to The Roomies place to try and catch up with a guy with Stiles McGraw but when I got there he wasn’t there so I wound up talking to Emma Hatch who told be about Connor Frio the brother of her employee Jared. She said that Connor was a decent sort if a little bit odd. However she did warn me to stay away from Jared as he was a nasty piece of work. I couldn’t help but wonder why everyone was so against the guy but I had no intention of finding out.

The next morning I had to figure out a way to make money as I was down to my last 50 simoleons. So I looked in the paper and saw that the was an opening for Hogan’s Deep Fried Dinner for a fisherman. I guess they needed someone to actually catch the catch of the day. So with a new job I immediately went fishing. The plus side about my land is that there is a pond right across the street

Unfortunately for me the pond seemed to lack any fish. All I caught the first night was a birthday cake and bath bubbles. How disappointing.

Eventually I made my way to the Frio household in order to meet my possible future husband Connor.

I finally met Connor and while he was a sweet unassuming guy but there were absolutely no sparks between  us. It was like talking to my brother or some other innocuous relative. I asked to use the bathroom before I headed home

But instead of the bathroom I had stumbled into Jared’s bedroom. After hearing all about him I expected the worst but he just laughed and pointed me in the right direction. But as he grabbed my arm I swear we shared a moment. I looked into his eyes and I fell head over heels in love with the man everyone had warned me about. The question remained did he feel the same way?

True story Jared was very much gossiped about the first couple of days. This time I am further along in the dynasty. My 3rd soon to be immortal just had a baby. So hopefully this will turn out a lot better.

Thanks for the comments. I have a good feeling about this family.

Can’t Fight the Feeling

After a few unsatisfactory encounters with Jared. I was beginning to doubt the wisdom of my feelings. Maybe it was time to move on and find someone else.

Even though I met several candidates not a single one was able to hold my interest. I knew who held my heart. It was just a matter of getting him to realize it.

Finally….

Once I knew that he felt the same I wasted no time. No use letting him think about how incompatible for each other we actually were.

Jared was so surprised at my proposal he didn't even notice his foot was in the pond.

With the rings exchanged it was time we quickly built a small box with a double bed and had a quiet night.

This will be my last update until Tuesday. My husband and I are heading to the Bahamas for a wedding. So I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Surprising Matters

My marriage in the beginning wasn’t easy. Between my fishing and gardening and Jared working on his painting and working at Hogan’s we spent very little time with each other.

One day while I was fishing at my favorite pond across the street the sky got dark all of a sudden. Having never experienced this phenomenon I was rooted in place.

All of a sudden a meteor crashed and I was lucky to have survived only a little singed.

Voice: Sheesh Naja way to almost end the dynasty.
Naja: Who are you? Why can I hear you?
Voice: This is Phoenix from Riverview. You know the one who has failed to complete a dynasty 6 times already? You can hear me because I allow you to hear me.
Naja: Oh yeah. I forgot that I was supposed to be working on that.
Phoenix: What!! Don’t you know that I am depending on you to see this through to the end. I will not have you risking you life in anyway shape or form.
Naja: Quit yelling at me! I have a lot on my plate already you try living with a man whose first wish after marrying me was to be mean to his ex girlfriend.
Phoenix: Look you just had to have him, You were told to marry Stiles McGraw. You deliberately went after Jared.
Naja: Hey it couldn’t be helped it was and still is love. How many times did you marry Billy Caspian?
Phoenix: This isn’t about me this is about you and the dynasty. You know what you need to do now do it NOW!!! End. Of. Conversation.
Naja: Hey…Hello? Phoenix? Ugh who does she think she is.

That night I swore I heard wind chimes. But since our bedroom doesn’t have any windows it must’ve been my imagination.

Or not

I had a odd feeling that I was pregnant and to be honest I wasn’t all together sure how Jared would react. He hadn’t even seen to his own daughter Devon since she was a baby.

I had nothing to worry about Jared was thrilled at the thought of having a another chance at raising a noo boo. He talked to my belly every chance he got and was always quick to rub my back when I was sore.

One day while out finding special seeds for my garden. I felt a funny little twinge and thought I was dying. I knew in that moment that the time had come and I was about to have my noo boo. Jared was at work and I had to drive myself to the hospital.

Jared got off early losing out on a chance to get a promotion before he had his two days off in order to run to the hospital to be there in time.

Even Jared’s daughter Devon was at the hospital hoping to be able to see her father and meet her new half brother or sister.

After many hours of labor I was definitely speechless by what happened next.

This is going to be a very short update.

Lilygirl if only it were twins.

Jared's Journal

After hours of watching Naja go through hard labor I was relieved when the doctor announced "Its a Girl!" I was thrilled but then He said that there was another baby girl I was surprised. But when the doctor exclaimed there was yet another little girl on the way. I was floored.

Naja and I said the exact same thing

HOLY CRAP TRIPLETS!

Triplets! Welcome to no sleeping, eating, or showering!

I see Judy Bunch is wondering if the stork is going to drop another one for her.

I wanted twins so I gave Jared the fertility treatment. I never had triplets before so it was definately an eye opener. Funny thing though once I triplets in my dynasty I have had two more sets in other games. I went from never getting triplets to having 3 sets in three different games.

Meet Lyra Reed future immortal born with the Artistic and Excitable traits. She loves latin music French toast and the color orange.

Elyssa Reed born with the Athletic and friendly traits. She likes Soul music cobbler and the color grey.

And surprise baby Amina Reed with Heavy sleeper and Excitable traits. She loves Indie music frog legs and the color black.

Excerpt from Jared’s Memoir - The Founding Father

When the triplets were born I was wholly unprepared for raising three girls. It took a couple of days to wrap my head around three nooboos. Why lie even now decades later I still can’t believe it. Naja demanded that I take a couple of days off from work to help her take care of the triplets. I sacrificed a couple of promotions that I really wanted but looking back I am glad I was there in the beginning to help raise my children. There was a lot of eating sleeping and pooping. There were moments where Naja and I would fall into bed exhausted only to be woken up an hour later by a dirty diaper, a lonely baby, or hungry girl. More often than not all three at the same time. All though the girls have grown I still shudder at the memories.

Naja and I found that if we tagged teamed our lives ran a little bit better although not by much though.

Not so many pictures of the first couple of years mainly we spent most of the time stressed out funky and exhausted. Finally it was time for the triplets birthday. Naja insisted on having a party telling me that she needed to stay in contact with 6 friends. Back then I just thought that my wife was nuts but looking back I see the importance of what she was trying to accomplish.
