Testing custom content and conflicts
« on: August 24, 2021, 10:06:05 AM »
Hi, I recently had to do a factory reset and was re-installing my cc. I test everything with Custard before I install it, and then use Dashboard afterwards to see if any bugs came up. Last night I installed a group of 25 files, and Dashboard said one was corrupt, but when I installed each individually then ran Dashboard each time, it said each individual file was fine. It almost seems that when I installed these files together-it was a random group of clothes, they seemed to conflict with each other and seem corrupted. Anybody ever come across something like this?

If you haven't already, read over this post, it will help you find the bad CC.

I usually do one of these methods when I am trying to test bad cc. :)

these are all simpack files and I had done a factory reset originally because dashboard said one of the installed files in the dcc cache folder was corrupted, so I was installing files in groups and running dashboard afterwards to see if I could find it, I had installed these 25 files, and it popped up that one of them was corrupted, so I uninstalled the files and then installed them in groups of 4 to see if I still got the error, and some of the files individually, but nothing came up the second time. I did delete all of my cache files when I shut the launcher down for the night, so I will try again with those 25 files and see if it comes up again and use different combinations this time.

Sometimes no matter what, you need to test the CC files one at a time.

I test them individually with custard first, and then install and test with Dashboard, I'll try individually for those files, thanks
