Yeah, that's her new work outfit. Samura's daily outfits are all yellow/black coded. Vera's are gentle pinks and lavender. Silas is blue. Iris G. is aqua/turquoise blues.

Chapter 19: Ghost City, Baby!

After a successful first date, Iris G. decides to ask Loario if he wants to be her boyfriend despite that non-committal trait.

Turns out, he does!

They autonomously take a self to commemorate the occasion.

After which they find an entirely new way to celebrate.

Loario decides he needs a picture for that too and snaps a selfie! Get a load of this guy, am I right?

But of course, Iris G.'s whole world isn't just full of Loario. Our girl's gotta lot going on!

Like work - oh wait, never mind. This guy's a Loario too! (We're up to four now.)

Anyway, she's got a lot of other things on her mind.

Like, work. And why four of her five coworkers are ghosts?

She knew being a doctor was hard work, but let's face it. Work till you drop dead is just poor work/life balance. There's got to be another way.

Sadly, the medium skill provides no answers.

I mean, come on, Bonehilda!

The ghost of Duchess isn't any better help.

She does, however, enjoy making family life interesting.

Like keeping live cats Tucker and Sprigg waiting while she ... eats?

Or pouncing upon the unsuspecting Sprigg. Poor kitty!

Yes, things sure are getting a bit spooky these days.

That's why it's good that Iris D. is always there to keep her grounded.

. . . And look the other way at some of the craziness.

You are a courageous one, Watcher, having Iris G. join the Doctor career!
I agree with Granny L: that "take your temperature" screenshot is perfect! Loario is burning with passion, lol!

Is the ghost of Duchess part of the household or just a regular visitor from her grave? I know you can invite human ghosts to move in...

It's actually been really fun! Time consuming, for sure, since you *have* to go to work with them everyday, but I'm enjoying it.

Duchess is just a regular visitor. Turns out sims *LOVE* to autonomously mourn pets, even if they never met them when they were alive, so if you keep their urns out their ghost will just keep coming back over and over. Funny they don't do this with, you know, sim persons as well as pets. *shrug*

Chapter 20: The Fear of Commitment is Real

Iris continues to work on her required skills and takes a little trip to Granite Falls.

She meets the local hermit.

And comes home with a new herbalism recipe.

She continues leveling her veterinarian skill.

And even treats her own cats, Tucker and Sprigg, when they get sick.

As for the other cats, it's a revolving door of adoptions - adopt one, love it, send it off to a new home.

But when she goes to adopt her next cat ... it turns out she may not have much time. Loario has aged up to an elder.

Iris proposes, and Loario accepts!

He autonomously snaps another selfie to commemorate. (This guy and his selfies omg ...)

She adopts her final cat, and since it's the last one, you know it's gotta be special.

Iris G.: "Um, what sort of cat did you say this was?"

"Hm," Loario checks the paperwork. "It says the breed is ... raccoon??"

Unfortunately, there simply wasn't room in the household for another, erm, cat? with Tucker and Sprigg around.

Accordingly, he was loved on and sent back, just like the others.

With the adoptions complete, it was time to add Loario to the household.

He had some rather interesting reactions. First, he hated the decor in Iris's bedroom: it's HIDEOUS!

Second, he came with this little moodlet: Home Wrecker. Well, he is a non-commital sim.

At any rate, the second he joined the household, a notification pops up that he doesn't have much time left.

And boy did he not.

While Samura prepares the cake for a home wedding, Loario decides that stranger danger is real and it's time to go.

Did this dude with his non-commital trait just decide to die rather than get married?

Rather fitting, then, that Iris had decided to go with ghosts as her wedding cake topper.

Well, at any rate, R.I.P. Loario.

Chapter 21: Rebounding

With her fiance dead, and not too many days of her adult life left, Iris G. sets out to find a new partner.

She takes the portal to Sixam from the family laboratory.

And meets ... this guy, who autonomously comforts her about her recent loss.

They even share an intimate mind connection. Could this be the real deal?

They decide to hit up Shimizu for a date.

Are you kidding me?

Still on the prowl, Iris G. attends alien night at the bar, where she meets Fred Tierney.

They bond over their mutual love of cats.

It's not much to go on, but frankly, time is running out.

Accordingly, Fred joins the household, and they make a little magic.

Welcome, Generation Five: Faye Goode!

Yes! For some reason all the male aliens that I could find were elders. I was sad to see Loario go, as I think they would have made a cool looking kid together. I also kinda wanted another generation of aliens, so it all worked out!

That was some timing with Loario moving in then dying so soon after!
I'm happy Iris has met the lovely, lavender Frank. What a surprise that Faye is a darkish blue!

Chapter 23: Taking the Cake

Despite the fact that their relationship is more one of necessity than preference, Iris G. decides to make the most of it.

Accordingly, they marry in a sparsely attended ceremony on the home lot.

And by god, Iris G. finally eats that cake! (It's a good thing Samura's confections never expire.)

She even gets abducted; perhaps her fellow aliens just wanted to say congratulations?

Little Faye turns into slightly less little Faye.

And grabs a piece of that cake too!

She enjoys bubbles.

And play time.

But doesn't get to know much about her father.

She ages up with a delightful hamburger cake.

And becomes a child.

The Irisii twins also have their birthdays.

And Iris G. becomes an immortal.

Congratulations on your 4th immortal. Iris has been classy all the way through. Looking forward to seeing how Faye gets on - she looks very thoughtful as a child.

Congratulations to Iris and her Watcher on reaching four immortals.  Your dynastic glass is half full!
I imagine your heirs are deliberately choosing elderly spouses to ensure household vacancies?

Well, it's not really necessary this early into the dynasty. I had no idea Aimee was as old as she was, so I was disappointed she wasn't around longer. With Iris G., well, after Loario died I kinda did just want her to marry an elder to avoid having some random sim in my house that I didn't care much about just hanging on.
