Chapter 8: The Second GenerationLilly, Terrah, and Sterling all age up to Young Adults within a couple of days from each other ... and you know what that means! Jobs, achievements, skills, love, and all sorts of adulting things.
Here's Lilly on her first day in the athletics career. Performing as llama mascot might not be the most glamorous start, but she'll become a sports star in no time. Terrah takes up a job as a secret agent, while Sterling goes into the tech career with an eye to becoming a professional e-sport gamer.
Best friends Lilly and Terrah work on both the Mt. Koromebi Sightseer aspiration and the Extreme Sports Enthusiast aspiration, which involve taking in the world of Mt. Koromebi and leveling up the Snowboarding, Rock Climbing, and Skiing skills.
Here they are starting out on the bunny slope with a sled.
Hiking ...
Honoring the spirits ...
Rock Climbing ...
and Skiing ...
.
With their skills mastered, Lilly and Terrah get ready to hike to the top of Mt. Koromebi only to discover that the aspiration is just plain bugged.
They are unable to host a hike (through the social event planning menu) as the starting lot is glitched out. From what I've read, there's nothing to fix this bug aside from just ... starting a new game and hoping you don't get it next time?? Which means Terrah will need to select a new 2nd aspiration to complete. Still, at least she can still claim the skiing, hiking, and rock climbing skills as planned.
In other news, Kaori, mother of Lilly and Sterling, passes away gently one evening.
And Lionel and Dwight Dojo (Samura's sons) age up to young adults (yes I'm breezing right by their teen years, during which I largely ignored them and consequently they did nothing much of interest).
Lionel has taken it upon himself to complete the Critic career.
While Dwight, getting somewhat of a late start due to my indecision, aims for the Science career.
Both, of course, must take on the responsibility of producing children in the hopes that distant descendants can provide future spouses.
I survey the towns for potential mates only to discover that there are only TWO age appropriate women who live in homes. Every home except one is inhabited by sims unknown to myself, presumably being randomly generated sims, although perhaps there are some original townies just not ones I'm familiar with? I know Samura gave birth only days before turning elder, so generation two got off to a late start, but I'm surprised I can't even find original townie children. Not sure what happened there. Hopefully Lionel and Dwight's soon to be many children can liven up the town, plus you know the neighborhood stories.
Lionel romances Nani.
And Dwight pairs up with Christie.
And of course, it would be remiss of me not to mention the love that blossomed between Terrah and Sterling (largely not depicted thanks to my neglect).
Which, although they have not yet felt the need to be married, has blossomed in their Adult years into the birth of Generation Three - Silas Dojo!
