7.2: Tribe 7, Part 2

Week 15, Friday
The next morning, the twins age up to teens then young adults.
There's just enough time for a family shot before folks start leaving for work.

From left to right:
Lyla, Elias, Mugen, Yuna, Yutaka, Takumi, and June.

June: Mama, I'm really going to miss our knitting together like this.
Yune: Me, too, June.  Let's not think about that today. It's too sad.

Lyla: As soon as I get home with my third promotion, I invite Jeb over.
Last night, I gave him a wardrobe makeover and he looks dashing in his formal wear.

Jeb: Lyla, it's time we get married so you can move in with me!

Lyla: Um, Grandma Harris? I'm Jeb's wife, Lyla.
Francine Spencer.  Please call me Francine. And, yes, Jeb told me you'd arrive today.

Lyla: Um, did he also tell you that we're trading bedrooms? We've moved into the downstairs bedroom.
Jeb's moved your things upstairs and I got you a much nicer bed. Right, Jeb? *nudges Jeb

Saturday
Mugen: Most of us have been missing our third promotion by a mere half-tick or so.
I'm going to befriend my elder brother and fellow Critic, Payton.
Maybe that will give me the extra little boost I need to finish in three workdays!

Elias: Gilberto, we finally meet! You were the first of us to move out.
And, well, you're a pear like me.
Gilberto: You invited me over to chat about being pears? Excuse me while I yawn.

Elias: When I move on Monday, I was thinking of moving into your neighborhood.
Gilberto: Seriously? You would do that? We could start a new community together or something.

Mugen: I'm the last of the Tribe 7 kids to finish their non-career requirements.
Mortimer Goth is my third good friend and I can't wait to start work tomorrow!

June: I'm back at 2 pm with my third promotion but I wait another hour.
Takumi finishes at 3 pm and I don't want to possibly mess with his promotion.
While I wait, I munch on some Mermadic Kelp.  And Takumi's back!

June: I've moved to Caldera Camp in Mua Pel'am, Sulani.
It's not a beachfront lot, but so close to the sea that it makes no difference.
Plus, the islands are breathtaking!

Yutaka: Senior Pollinator Tech #3 can be such a jerk.
She abducts me tonight, knowing that the timing is perfect for a pregnancy.

We're presently a 5-sim household plus Yuna and I plan to start Tribe 8 tomorrow night.
So, of course, this is nothing more than yet another vanity abduction. *sighs

Week 16, Sunday
Takumi: Mugen and I are going all out to earn our three promotions in three workdays.
Besides buying the Entrepreneurial trait, we also have coworker friends!

Mugen's a Critic, so he's made friends with his Critic siblings: Payton and Byakuya.
I'm friends with my sister Madelynn. We're the only two Politicians in the family.

Takumi: Why are Mugen and I wasting our time learning Parenting?
Mugen: We've already mastered our three skills each, you remember?

Yuna: How quickly you forget how you gained your Responsible and Mediator traits!
Elias will be moving out Monday, so we're starting on Tribe 8 later tonight.
Yutaka: We'd appreciate you both helping to Teach Responsibility!

Monday
Yuna: We're doing things in a different order for Tribe 8.
Last night, after ensuring I'm eating for two, we adopted two nooboos.

For science, we clocked how long it took us to become good friends with them.
From the first default social until we both became good friends with the nooboos, it took 5-1/2 hours.
Strangely, Yutaka always finishes faster than me, this time by a half hour.

Meet Aimee and Gerald!

Elias: I move out immediately after getting back with my third promotion.
We pears need to stick together, so I move next door to my brother Gilberto.

Gilberto: Why do you get a hot springs while I live in a cheapo container home?
Elias: Our parents feel bad about that, but they were poor when you moved out.

Gilberto: So what does that make this area? The hood where pears go to die?
Elias: Awww, come on, Gilberto. Don't be so morbid and enjoy your soak!
Gilberto: Just don't try any of Tuck's hot tub moves on me and we'll be fine.
Elias: Huh!?

Yuna: Back home,  Yutaka asks the Wishing Well for a child…twice.
First, the Well makes him temporarily infertile.  Haha, fooled the Well, I'm already pregnant.
Next, the Well grants Yutaka a miraculous child who's both a Genius and an Artistic Prodigy.
Welcome to the family, Hayes.

Tuesday
Aimee and Gerald left the toddler stage yesterday before Elias even moved out.
Among the 38 kids we've raised from nooboos, they're our first Happy Toddlers.
So much faster and easier to raise than Topnotch Toddlers!

Mugen (right) needs another promotion but today's his day off.
Takumi earned his 3rd promotion yesterday but he's staying to help with the kids.

Yutaka: Isn't it too early, Yuna, to be giving the boys Taste of Diet ice cream?

Takumi: Mama writes Books of Life for the three youngest kids this morning.
A Book of Life is incredibly useful on mornings when one's sleep cycle has gone off track.

We'll have to keep an eye on Mama.
She's wearing that slightly crazed look she gets when she's close to hysteria.

Wednesday
Takumi: Gerald's Responsibility falls within range and I'm tired of scolding the kids for making messes.
Once Papa harvests the garden and becomes The Curator this morming, I leave the proverbial nest.

As a Spellcaster, I'm naturally drawn to Glimmerbrook, where I move into a magical domicile.

Mugen: I'm back home at 5 pm but failed to earn my third promotion by a half-tick.
Oh well, I was planning to stay until after Mama's labor anyway.

All the kids' Responsibility is already in range, so I teach Conflict Resolution to Hayes.
He's a little behind on his skills now, but I got him in range to to become a Mediator.

Thursday
Yuna: I give birth to an adorable little girl, who we name Rukia.
I confess to having eaten a load of strawberries beforehand!

Mugen: At last, I earn my third promotion and branch to Art Critic.
Hey, isn't that Payton's husband Diego in that photo?
I quickly scarf some Mermadic Kelp then move out.

Mugen: Watcher's been mainly recycling her previous builds and downloading Gallery lots.
But she's made my house here in Key Point, Sulani, from scratch.
I do love the traditional plantation-style architecture of Hawai'i, don't you?

I go for my first swim as a merman near my outdoor patio.
How very odd, though! Why am I wearing glasses in my merman form when my vision's 20/20?
What explanation could there possibly be for that?!

Yuna: Mugen is our thirty-sixth child to move out and the last member of Tribe 7.
NowYutaka and I can really focus our energies on Tribe 8.

Parents' aspirations for Tribe 9:
Yuna: Mansion Baron (done)
Yutaka: The Curator (done)

In move-out order:
   31. Anouk (Human): Successful Lineage; Astronaut 4; Fitness, Rocket Science, Parenting; Home: Potter's Splay, Willow Creek; Single.
   32. Lyla (Spellcaster): Master Maker; Secret Agent 4; Fabrication, Juice Fizzing, Singing; Home: Miner's Mansion, Evergreen Harbor; Spouse: Jeb Harris.
   33. June (Mermaid: StrangerVille Mystery; Gardener 4; Cross-Stitch, Flower-Arranging, Knitting; Home: Caldera Camp, Sulani; Single.
   34. Elias (Human): Leader of the Pack & Country Caretaker; Charisma, Medium, Mischief; Home: Comfy Cubby: Willow Creek; Single.
   35. Takumi (Spellcaster): Renaissance Sim; Style Influencer 4; Charisma, Photography, Painting; Home: Creek Side Corner, Glimmerbrook; Single.
   36. Mugen (Merman): The Curator &  Mt. Komorebi Sightseer; Critic 4; DJ Mixing, Media Production, Writing; Home: Key Point; Sulani; Single.

Residential Lots
*Takumi's home at Glimmerbrook's Creek Side Corner is the Gallery lot "Little Haven," created by DevonBumpkin, a positively marvelous builder.
*Mugen's home at Sulani's Key Point: Though I built this lot from scratch, I formerly built a similar house for my SimTech Dynasty last year.

Watcher's Notes
*Elias: What a relief when he finally moved out!  He was such a pain!  Every workday, I'd watch him walk off to work but when I'd check later, he'd circled back to the house to dance.  He almost missed his last day of work, too. Good riddance!
*Children: So much micro-managing to ensure that children aren't making messes. They conspire and take turns, I swear they do!
*Hayes: I thought that Hayes (the Wishing Well kid) would fall behind his siblings without the Happy Toddler trait, but he's actually farther along with his childhood requirements than his fellow Artistic Prodigy, Gerald.

8.1: Tribe 8, Part 1

Week 16, Thursday
Yuna: When Rukia gets up at night out of hunger, I see she's almost earned the Happy Toddler trait.
Despite her Energy being in the red zone, I help her get Potty Training and Movement to Level 3

Sorry, Rukia!  Here's a moodlet solver for after you cake up!
And now all the kids are children, but not for long.

Gerald is the first of Tribe 8 to become a teenager.
He buys his reward traits right away then ages up to a young adult.

Aimee follows in Gerald's footsteps.

Friday
By morning, Hayes is also ready to age up.
That makes three young adults.  With jobs!

Gerald's a Cook, Aimee's a Conservationist, and Hayes is a Politician.

Saturday
Tonight's the last day of the year.
We had the cancel the festivities, though, so Rukia could blow out her candles.

As a teen, she works on her aspiration in order to afford her third reward trait.
Several hours later, she celebrates her young adult birthday.

From left to right: Gerald, Hayes, Yuna, Yutaka, Aimee, and Rukia.

Thanks to the diligent teaching of her siblings, Rukia learned Responsibility quickly.
Not only has he never brushed her teeth, she's also never spent a day in school.

With my "Share Vampire Knowledge" socials alone, Rukia's already reached Level 10 Vampire Lore.
She insists on learning the last 5 levels from the vampire tomes.  As she should!
.

Aimee (center): Hayes and I worked and got promoted today.  Why did you skip work, Gerald?
Gerald (right): I thought I'd be working this weekend, too. But my schedule suddenly changed to weekdays. I have no idea why.
Hayes (left): He's right, Aimee. Same thing happened to the Athlete career. That's why I immediately switched to Politician.
Aimee: Are only base-game careers affected?
Gerland and Hayes (in unison): Who knows?

Year 2, Week 17, Sunday
Yutaka: Today's the first day of our dynasty's second year.
Naturally, the first thing Yuna does is get hysterical.
Because spraying bugs is such a hysterical thing to do.

Thanks to reggikko's tip, Yuna immediately grabs a Focused potion from her inventory.
Then, she stands there doing nothing.
Finally, fiiiiiinally, after 30 minutes, she drinks that Focused potion.  Sheesh!
Surely, I've grown a few new white hairs today.

Aimee: I'm shooting to be the first Tribe 8 kid to move out!
Except for two promotions, I've finished all my other requirements.
And I know exactly where I want to live when I leave home.

Aimee: That lavish house behind me?
I hear that it will be the home of the forty-fifth kid.
You know, the kid whose move will complete this dynasty challenge.

It's a Gallery lot called "Spanish Jungle," built by the highly talented CatSaar.

Rukia: What a relief to be done with skill classes.
Thanks to New Skill Day, I maxed Bowling in just a few classes!

Mama says she's invited over someone for me to meet.
I wonder who that could be?

His name's Kiyoshi Ito and he's from Mt. Komorebi.
What am I supposed to do with a high-school boi who's in a flirty mood?
Oh, I see.  He's a Romantic.  (He's also really attractive…)

Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking.
But this is just a friendly hug to commemorate our becoming BFFs.

Hey, wait!  Is he, um, sniffing my hair?
It's time to introduce you to a birthday cake, Kiyoshi!

To avoid the rest of the family, I invite (the now-a-young-adult) Kiyoshi on a date in San Myshuno.
(Watcher got my family to meditate, but Patchy refused.)

The view of the nighttime cityscape from the Stragazer Lounge is so very romantic!
Kiyoshi in his cold weather outfit…not so much.

Thank you, Brytani Cho, for interrupting our date to incite cheers.
I'm happy to see that Kiyoshi is not impressed.
Still, I need to put the hot and steamy back into our convo.

(After some romantic progress)
What? You didn't know the Stargazer Lounge had a shower?
Actually, this is a portable shower tarp.
Papa gave it to me as a present on my young adult birthday.
But he made me swear not to tell Mama about it, so ssssshhhhh!

Well, I'd say that Kiyoshi and I deserve a gold medal for this date.
Wouldn't you agree?

After our date, I bring Kiyoshi home with me.
Just, you know, to test that our chemistry at the Lounge wasn't a fluke.

Yep, I'm convinced.  Kiyoshi is definitely The One.
What a fabulous way to start the new year!

Hayes: But it's not fair! I want to go on dates and fall in love, too! Why does Rukia get to be Watcher's favorite?
Yuna: It's not Rukia who's Watcher's favorite.  Kiyoshi is Watcher's townie infatuation.
Hayes: Huh, nothing I can do about that. I'll just have to live right and hope for the best, I guess.
Yuna: That's the spirit, Hayes! In fact, she has a superb place in mind for you already.

Yuna: Wow, a year passes unbelievably quickly when one is swamped with children!

8.2: Tribe 8, Part  2

Year 2, Week 17, Sunday
Yuna: You might remember that Rukia and Kiyoshi had a date earlier tonight.
When they return here to--ahem--confirm their intentions, Yutaka gets abducted.
This is the last straw!  I wait up until Yutaka gets back.
Then, I have him help me stash that Observatory in our family inventory.

Monday
This morning, Yutaka and I reach an important decision to complete one more pair of aspirations.
Splitting Tribe 9 into two phases could keep our last natural-born child closer in age to the others.
Also, an elder child could learn responsibility from Gerald and Rukia, then teach it to their siblings.

So we switch aspirations around 9:30 am, then Yutaka rushes off to the Adoption Agency to adopt Jazlyn.

While Yutaka socializes with Jazlyn, I ask the Wishing Well for a child.
It only makes me temporarily infertile. Thankfully, that only lasts 4 hours!

Yutaka has the Golden Touch.  So far, he's the only who's successfully wished for a child.
Meet Jordan, who's both a Genius and a Social Butterfly.

Here's Jazlyn as a toddler playing with her sister Rukia.

Hayes: I bring home my third promotion, then realize I've missed a requirement!
Quickly, I go out and chat up Yuki Behr, who becomes my 3rd good friend.

I'm rather quiet and also this family's second Wishing Well child.
Gerald and Aimee were sure they'd move out faster than me.
*whispers: But I showed them.  Mwahahaha!

Due to my supernatural origins, I choose to live in StrangerVille.
I'm living up the hill at Creek Corner Cove, where Watcher's prepared a house for me.

How incredible that I will be calling this lovely place my new home.
It's called "Tiny Queen Anne," created by DevonBumpkin.  Too beautiful!

Tuesday
Let's just say I greatly miscalculated my timing for Nerd Brain.
Not being able to do space missions while pregnant had completely slipped my mind.
By the time I've finished the five required missions, it's already past 2 am!
That done, I seek out Yutaka and we try for baby one last time.

Aimee: Hey, Jordan! I just earned my 3rd promotion and am about to move out.
Let me Teach Responsibility to you one last time before I go.

Jordan: I'm in the middle of my final task for Social Butterfly!
Please don't leave until I'm friends with Tane Ngata.

Aimee: While waiting on Jordan, I realize I need to change my life state.
Hayes is Human but Gerald wants to become a Merman.
Fine, I'll ask Mama for the Rite of Ascension.

Brindleton Bay is a natural choice since I'm a skilled Veterinarian and Pet Trainer.
I move into Cavalier Cove, where I'll be neighbors with two of my siblings (and an oddly appealing red man).
My home at Bedlington Boathouse is on the beach without any landscaping of its own.

So do I spend my very generous housing allowance to surround my new home with flowers and trees?
Of course not. I spend it entirely on interior furnishings.
Looks both classy and cozy, yes?

Yuna: Jazlyn aged up soon after Aimee moved out.
Her hair's perfect but I'll give her a wardrobe a makeover tomorrow.

Rukia: Don't mind me! I'm just here to clean and teach responsibility.

Wednesday
Rukia: With my third promotion in hand, I'm now ready to move out.
Kiyoshi rushes over as soon as he gets my phone call.
Picking the most cluttered, most unsightly area of our house, I propose to him.
He says yes, of course!

I'm not a natural-born Spellcaster, so I can move out in my Human state.
Dutiful sister that I am, though, I teach responsibility to Jazlyn and Jordan one last time.

Jordan: Yeah, but she's so chatty and distracted that it takes three hours.
Kiyoshi got tired of waiting and went home.  *snickers

Rukia: I phone Kiyoshi again and we both change into our formal wear.
I'm not sure why Kiyoshi is wearing patent leather shoes with his kimono.
Nobody--and I mean, NOBODY---wears shoes with a kimono in their right mind.
*whispers: I'm secretly glad now that we decided against a big wedding…

Horrid shoe choice aside, I know I'm going to love being with Kiyoshi!
He's sweet, handsome, romantic, courteous, and…
But, um, what about a 2nd cold weather outfit for when he's not doing sports?

Thursday
Gerald: Papa, why does Mama insist on cooking only Curry and Pastel de Palmito?
Yutaka: I believe she's hoping that some of us will become Spice Hounds.
Gerald: Has that worked for you and Mama?
Yutaka: Erm, no.

Yuna: We've added 42 kids to the house so far, with only three more to go!
At 3 pm, we begin our final 24-hour period by adopting a little girl.
We choose Anahi, hoping her name suggests a child of Polynesian origin.
She ages up to a toddler before Gerald's work shift ends.

Gerald: I return with my third promotion to find the household in utter chaos.
I immediately eat some Mermadic Kelp and move out. (I can always visit later.)
My new Sulani home at Pier Perfection has been much enlarged and improved.
I'm not the sporty type but appreciate Papa's generosity in giving me a Jet Zip.

Gerald: When I left tonight, Jordan's Responsibility was already in range.
And Jazlyn's was almost there, too, so I didn't feel the need to wait and teach them.

Ahhhhh, my new life in Sulani is my most-cherished dream come true!
It makes the grind of having grown up in that hectic household totally worth it!

Yutaka: And that, folks, is the last of Tribe 8! *dusts hands off
Yuna goes into labor soon.  We've got our fingers crossed for twins, which means she'll probably have a single birth.

The Parents' Aspirations
Yuna: Nerd Brain (done)
Yutaka: Computer Whiz (done)

Tribe 8 in move-out order:
37. Hayes (Human): Bodybuilder; Politician 4; Dancing, Fitness, Rocket Science; Home: Creek Corner Cove, StrangerVille; Single.
38. Aimee (Spellcaster): Soulmate; Conservationist 4; Logic, Pet Training, Veterinarian; Home: Bedlington Boathouse, Brindleton Bay; Single.
39. Rukia (Human): Freelance Botanist; Gardener 4; Bowling, Gardening, Vampire Lore; Home: 2-5-1 Wakabamori, Mt. Komorebi; Spouse: Kiyoshi Ito.
40. Gerald (Merman): Musical Genius; Culinary 4; Baking, Knitting, Pipe Organ; Home: Pier Perfection, Sulani; Single.

I sustain interest with the thought that this will all be over soon.  LOL!
My reward for if/when I finish this challenge is that I can finally take one of my sims to explore Henford-on-Bagley.  Finally!
Thanks for your encouragement, friend!

9.1: Tribe 9, Part  1

Year 2, Week 17, Friday
Yuna: Yutaka and I both have the Fertile trait. I even get two (!) Fertility Massages.
Nevertheless, I give birth to a single nooboo at 4:30 this morning.
We give our non-occult daughter the name Tamiyo, after Watcher's paternal grandmother.

Yutaka immediately adopts a wee boy, who we rename Xango after the late and great Brazilian sambista, Xangô da Mangueira (1923-2009).

While still socializing with the nooboos, I briefly stop to help Anahi age up.
She's a Rambunctious Scamp now and loving it.

When Tamiyo and Xango age up, Anahi gets a makeover along with the toddlers.
Our two youngest children are simply adorable.

Yutaka, let's see how quickly we can get these two aged up!

Jordan (our Wishing Well child) has been ready to age up since this morning.
He even has three positive Character Values in range already.

But he doesn't mind Fishing until Tamiyo and Xango are ready for The Family Photo.
After school, Jordan's stoked to try out the new pond created just for him.
Watcher: Ugh, terrain tools!

Jazlyn: Poor Tamiyo! That's the third time in a row she's asked Mama for potty help.
Each time, Mama picks her up briefly, puts her down, then runs off somewhere.
Why won't she take care of Tamiyo?  Little sis is about to wet her diapers!

Saturday
It's late afternoon when the toddlers age up.
From left to right: Jordan, Anahi, Tmiyo, Yuna, Yutaka, Xango, and Jazlyn.

Watcher: We now enter the phase where the children constantly drop queues to make messes that the parents always ignore…

Jordan becomes both Tribe 9's first teen and first young adult.

Watcher: I'm very ready to be finished with this challenge now…

Yuna: By the evening, Jazlyn has also celebrated two birthdays.
It may seem like Jazlyn has caught up to Jordan, but he's still ahead with skilling and good friends.

Jordan's the first of our kids to enter the Social Media career. Jazlyn's a Conservationist.

Week 18, Sunday
Today, we celebrate our Springfest holiday.
Traveling to Desert Bloom Park completes our remaining holiday tradition.
Yay! We each earn an easy 500 satisfaction for achieving a gold-state holiday.

Anahi: I've given up on Jordan and Jazlyn's lectures on Responsibility.
It takes them so long to get around to giving one, if they remember to give one at all!

Since yesterday, I've been cleaning up and brushing my teeth.
I think working on this school project for an hour or so should do the trick!
There!  I age up to teen, buy my traits right away, then proceed to age up to a young adult!

Monday
Yutaka: We've been a bit concerned about Tamiyo, our natural-born child.
Though joining our household an hour before Xango, she's fallen woefully behind.

Problem #1: She's slower to finish aspiration tasks, because she's so busy making messes.
I'm feeling disinclined to let the 45th child move into that luxury house across the street.
It'd be like rewarding the last child for being a slacker.

Problem #2: Tamiyo's constantly inspired, though she doesn't have the Creative trait.
In the same amount of time, Xango can do both Friendly Intros and Heartfelt Compliments.
Because Tamiyo is usually inspired instead of happy, she can't give compliments.

Look how much of a difference that's made in their Manners progress!
Xango also has a head start on the Mediator trait, since he learned his 3 childhood skills faster.
Sigh.  We expected more of Tamiyo, but maybe Xango is just that good.

Anahi: Xango and Tamiyo are both in range to acquire the Responsible trait.
So, the rest of us kids can work on our own requirements.

Jordan seems to be taking forever to level up his Acting skill.
By the time I max Wellness, he's still only Acting 5. Does his Genius trait hold him back?

Jazlyn: I'm done skilling, but I don't have any good friends yet.
Tonight, I meet a very attractive sim from Sulani named Duane.
He and I would make such a great match! He's still a teen, but I can easily remedy that.

Sadly, I learn that his home is already rather crowded.  Maybe I'll age Duane up anyway?

Tuesday
Yutaka: After Xango ages up, Yuna and I work with Tamiyo on her character values.
For six hours, we take turns teaching her how to say thank you, please, and sorry.
Come to think of it, Tamiyo has pretty much had a free ride for all 3 of her character values!

Whatever. It feels great knowing that we never have to raise another child in this house!
Anahi's a Tech Guru, Xango becomes a Gardener, and Tamiyo signs up to be a Teacher.

Later, before anyone leaves for work, we take our final Family Photo.
From left to right, Jordan, Anahi, Tamiyo, Yuna, Yutaka, Xango, and Jazlyn.

Go forth, kids, and complete your remaining requirements so we can put this challenge to rest!
Moodlet Solvers and Books of Life--we're pulling out all the stops for this last tribe!

Watcher's Notes
*Asian eye presets: I appreciate that the devs have added several Asian eye presets to CAS.
However, all the non-Asian male children in my game lately come with those Asian eye presets.
I am all for multiracial families, but I don't need ALL my male sims to have single-lidded Asian eyes. Why, devs, why?

*Jazlyn and Tamika: My darker-skinned female sims seem to escape the fate of the Asian eye presets. Jazlyn and Tamika are two of the loveliest girls raised in this Life States Dynasty.

*My exhausted save?: It's fortunate that I'm nearing the end of this challenge, because it's been difficult lately to get Sims 4 to move past the initial loading screen. And, yes, I do a Repair Game before each simming session but I still have to jump through various hoops to load my save.

Finally, you're on the final stretch! Great job. It always seems like you accomplish so much more than I do. I can really be a slacker in that I don't do much beyond what is strictly required. My Sims basically have no lives, LOL. It's just grind, grind, grind!

Almost there! Wow, this dynasty has moved at such a brisk pace. I've been meaning to ask: how do you get such great family photos?? Also, did you say you moved one of your kids into a house with a *helipad*?  :o I've so much to learn and explore in this game! I got a pretty good laugh over the fact that woohoo with Jeb without a sack on his head was death inducing. I guess he was just too attractive to bear!  ;D

Finally, you're on the final stretch! Great job. It always seems like you accomplish so much more than I do. I can really be a slacker in that I don't do much beyond what is strictly required. My Sims basically have no lives, LOL. It's just grind, grind, grind!

Thank you! Now that's funny that you think I accomplish more because, like you, all I'm doing is grind, grind, grinding.
I seriously doubt that I'm "accomplishing" more than you. :)
As soon as the family's arrival at Desert Bloom Park gave them all gold holiday status, they turned right around and went home, hah!
The fishing pond on the lot simply keeps the mentoring parents at home so the other kids can benefit from the Matriarch/Patriarch perk.

Especially since you and I are so close to finishing this challenge now, it's hard to justify giving our families time to smell the flowers, LOL!

I guess he was just too attractive to bear!  ;D
@Rhoxi
Thank you for dropping in! Yes, I've been playing very quickly because I'm eager to finish this challenge and do something else.
I've messaged you about my process for family photos.
As for the helipad, I was merely trying to create the impression of a celeb-worthy crib. I took the tiny helicopter toy for children and enlarged it using the Shift+] key combo.
Terrain tools to create the helipad itself.  Silly tricks.

Poor Lyla! I was planning on a short and sweet "secret-hottie-reveal story" arc to break up the tedium of all the challenge-related activities but, yeah, I've never had a sim get hysterical during woohoo, unless they'd recently married or conceived. Once Lyla revived, though, I could actually laugh about it.

So Abduction, But No Cigar 9.2: Life States Dynasty
« Reply #55 on: August 25, 2021, 06:56:45 PM »
9.2: We're Done!

Year 2, Week 18, Tuesday
Tamiyo: Xango aged up last night but I didn't age up early enough to join a career in time.
That's why all my siblings are working today, except me. *pouts

Since I still need two good friends, I might as well do that now.
I can continue studying Research & Debate later.

I don't know why my parents are always going on about what a disappointment I am!
Xango may be better than I am at, well, everything, but I'm still doing my best!

I mean, just look at who I choose as my third good friend so I can get back to skilling!
A horrifically-dressed pear with facial piercings.
It's like that ancient limbo song is speaking directly to me: How low can you go?

My parents have created a mountain of drama around this house across the street.
Just between you and me, I have zero interest in living there.

Living a stone's throw from one's nagging parents isn't everyone's dream, you know?
Just sayin'…

You want to know what my dream life would be?
I'd start over again as a teenager and grow up far away from here.
Ahhhh, to grow up on my own, without my parents and their unrealistic expectations!
That would be my dream! *clasps hands to chest

Xango: Hey, Jordan, I earned my second promotion today, just like you!
Jordan: Oh, please! One, you're doing that easy-peasy Gardener career?
And, two, you have no good friends and no maxed skills.
Xango: Ouch! But everyone knows that the promotions take the longest time!

Jazlyn: I also earned my second promotion and am finished with my non-career requirements.
But I don't work tomorrow, so I will definitely not be the first to move out.

In other news, I listed on Plopsy a Llama Neckwarmer that I had knitted as a child.
I'm beyond thrilled that someone paid $1,495 for it.  Just imagine if it'd been higher quality!

Anahi: I earned my first promotion today but I'm done with my other requirements.
I won't be first one to move out but, hopefully, I won't be the last either.
Like, Tamiyo doesn't even start working until tomorrow!
Also, like Tamiyo, I don't want to live across the street. Beach life or bust!

Wednesday
Tamiyo: I'm so excited about my first day of work.
I don't work weekends, so if I don't get my third promotion on Friday…*shudders

Even with his fancy Entrepreneurial trait, Xango missed his third promotion by a half tick, poor guy!
But I bring mine home today at 3 pm and am ready to move out.
Instead of leaving immediately, I'll wait until Anahi maxes her performance bar.
Or should I wait until her shift's over at 7 pm?

With Siobhan Fyres as my third good friend, I'm done with my non-career requirements.
Normally, I'd be eager to get serious with the lovely, charming Siobhan.

But I hear that none of my siblings are interested in the Rio Verde house across the street.
It's either Siobhan or that house, and I choose the house!

Jordan: I prefer a cooler climate than Oasis Springs, but I also want fishing spots nearby.
I've moved to this two-bedroom, two-story cottage in Countryside Windenburg.
The cottage is too large for a bachelor like me now, but who knows what the future will bring?

(Jordan's home is the Gallery lot "Rustic Cottage," created by CatSaar.

Yuna: The kids are just waiting to earn their promotions now, so we go clubbiing.
It's a dynasty first!
Wooooo, group dance at Discothčque Pan Europa in Windenburg!

Thursday
Yuna: Despite being the last to join our household, Xango's the second one ready to move out.
He's been a pleasure to raise and have around.
Yutaka: Oh, c'mon! He's a Gardener! Of course, he earns his promotions quickly.
Watcher: I don't care what anyone says. I think Xango's the most attractive male child among the 23 male kids!

Xango: Hey, thanks! Here's hoping Jazlyn gets promoted today, too, so she can move out before me.

Jazlyn: I'm back with my third promotion at 4 pm and eat some Mermadic Kelp right away.
Since Anahi doesn't come home until 7 pm, I invite Duane over and age him up.
One thing leads to another and…

Xango: Um, not to rush you, sis, but Anahi came home two hours ago.
Jazlyn:  Oops!

I've moved to Lagoon Look in Ohan'ali Town in Sulani.
Duane's home is only a 10-minute walk away from mine.

(Jazlyn's home is the Gallery lot "Sulani Beach House," created by Hey_Harrie.)

Look! Duane lives right over there, with the Kealoha family!
By the way, I've never seen a pregnant mermaid before.  Have you?
I certainly hope I'm eating for two!

Xango: 7-1/2 hours after earning my third promotion, I move across the street at last.
Since I studied Archaeology and Selvadoradian Culture, this house suits me perfectly.

(Xango's home is the Gallery lot "Spanish Jungle," created by CatSaar.)

The house's interior is just as fabulous as its exterior.
Now, please excuse me, while I dance the Rumbasim.

Friday
Yuna: Why are we fishing while Anahi and Tamiyo are at work, Yutaka?
Yutaka: I believe Watcher is tired of you serenading me.

Yuna: She should talk! Can you believe she left the game un-paused after Xango moved out last night?
She didn't come back to check on us until after Tamiyo left for work!
Apparently, she was watching some Cottage Living nonsense on Youtube.
Yutaka: Yeah, we're lucky that Tamiyo autonomously left for work on time at 8!

Tamiyo: Everything's fallen into place for me after all!
Even though Watcher forgot all about me this morning, I manage to earn my third promotion.

And thanks to dear Xango, I'm spared the agony of living so close to my parents!
After Mama transforms me into a Spellcaster, I'm on my way.

I've moved  into the DuPlantier Dwelling at Hallow Slough in Willow Creek.
No, the lot's not haunted. ANd, no, I'm not planning to become a paranormal investigator.
I just feel this neighborhood has a fitting vibe for a future prof like me.
Plus it's far enough from my parents to give me some breathing space.

Yuna (in a panic): Anahi! You're home early! Why are you home at 5 pm?
Did Tamiyo moving out force you to leave work early?

Anahi (sighs): There was so much fuss last night over Jazlyn, Duane, and Xango.
Nobody even noticed that I brought home my third promotion at 7 pm.
But I don't mind. Tamiyo makes a better Spellcaster than I ever would.

Yutaka: Well, that's a huge relief to hear!
Watcher: I'll say! How did we all miss her promotion yesterday? Oh right, Jazlyn and Duane…

Anahi: I'd already planned to let Tamiyo move out first to avoid becoming a spellcaster or mermaid myself.
But, playing on my parents' guilt, I squeeze out even more of an already generous housing allowance.
I move into this cottage at Pier Palace on Windenburg Island.
Yeah, it's isolated but my boss agreed yesterday to my telecommuting.

(Anahi's home is the Gallery lot "Caribbean Cottage," created by Hey_Harrie.)

Sitting on the porch with my knitting and looking out over the ocean!
You know you wish you could live my life!

Later, at the Perfect Balance Spa
Yuna: We did it! We raised and moved out 45 kids!
Yutaka: And with no consecutive overlap between life states, careers, or good friends.

Yuna: But even 50 deep tissue massages won't heal me, Yutaka. I'll probably never recover.
Yutaka: I feel exactly like you do, Yuna. What's next for us?
Yuna: No more trying for baby, that's for sure!

A big thank you to @reggikko for initially motivating me to start this challenge and for the companionship and tips-sharing throughout.

Woo! Congrats, my friend. I am so glad we did this one together and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next.

Yes, that Xango is quite attractive. Will Tamiyo get her wish, I wonder?

Postscript:

Yutaka and I completely forgot about having to take a photograph with Anahi, our forty-fifth child to move out.
Do you realize that we've been so busy that we haven't visited the home of any of our children yet?
That's why we decided to travel to Anahi's place instead of inviting her back to our place.
And here's the three of us, sitting out front on a sofa Anahi bought just for our photo!

And now, finally, our Life States Dynasty Challenge is officially complete!

Thank you for everything!  I'm certain my momentum would have flagged if I'd tried to play this challenge on my own.
I'll definitely be keeping Xango around to play again someday.
As for Tamiyo, I've been thinking hard on what shape her wish should take in the future, haha.
One thing that's certain: I'm in no hurry to play another nooboo, toddler, or messy child for a while, haha.
