Welcome Pandora, oh dear, what a positively portentous name!  Does perhaps some trouble or mischief lurk in her future?

*Confetti*

Thank you for your comments, Pandora is certainly going to be interesting  ;)

"Needless to say he was speechless."

Did he really pop and empty bubble, or did you white it out?  I've never seen an empty bubble before!  ;D

Honestly, the bubble was empty no playing around with it at all  :D

Pandora's nooboo days few by.  The night before her toddler birthday, Portia was putting Pandora to bed when she said "Don't worry my precious innocent girl, everything will work out in the end.  I promise you."

The family gathered around for the Pandora's birthday the next morning.  Birthday candles and sparkles at the ready (although no pictures of the sparkles, I missed them doh!).

A quick trip to the mirror after Pandora aged up and it is revealled that she does not have the patented Danvers' hair (I was slightly disappointed in this - but she is still a little cutie).

Pandora quickly got to learning the necessary skills to make her a big girl.  Walking....

How to go potty...

Whilst in the middle of potty training Pandora, Aurora received a telephone call.

Aurora:  Hello?  (slightly distracted) Honey you need to stay on the potty while you do a tinkle.
Voice: He-STATIC-o, can-STATIC-eak with-STATIC-ora please?
Aurora:  Sorry it's a really bad line.  This is Aurora, who's calling?  Sweetie, you really need to stay on the potty just a little longer.
Voice:  No,-STATIC-dora.
Aurora:  I'm really sorry I can barely understand you and my daughter has just wee-ed on the floor I have to go.

All the other family members spent time with Pandora knowing that she would be the last of the Danvers line.  Grandma Lisa helped her to learn to walk as well.

Grandma Lexa was just so happy when she made the little tike smile and laugh.

Being a big girl now she can walk all by herself (how cute).

Portia has been on expeditions to the past and came back looking a little weird (I think the 'Cave Girl' look should be banned for elders, personally lol).

In potential immortal news, I'm sure Aurora has met the requirements for Vizard of Vine, she even harvested the fruit herself but I don't think it registered as she did not learn the gardening skill as it is Elena's super max skill.  She is at the top of her career.  And there is well over 100 bottles of Nectar still in the basement.  I even had her go to a gardening class gain one skill point but when she started gardening she was learning the skill too quickly (as she has the Fast Learner LTR) so I quickly put a stop to that.  Because of this I will be changing her super max skill to Athletic.  Now Peta has the skill at level 8 and the rest of the immortals also have a couple of skill points.  So I have moved all gym equipment outside to the MA sanctuary and locked the gate to only Aurora, none of the other immortals have the athletic trait so I think the tv's and stereos are safe - I'm really keeping my fingers crossed as I have come this far, I've managed to keep Peta and Elena away from easels so I hope I can keep all of them away from gaining anymore athletic points as well as logic, Portia and Tesla keep sneaking to the computers when I'm doing something else and playing chess.  It's getting harder to keep an eye on all of them at the same time lol  :D

So Aurora starts to sweat it (as well as me).

She also pumps iron, although she finds it a bit of a struggle.

Once she is fatigued, she jumps of the weights machine and does her sultry pose "Ah, grimble" she says to herself (I think that's the right simish terminology - I've been playing this game way too much lol  ;D)

There's such a thing as too much Sims?

I kinda like the cave girl outfit, even on elder Portia, looks cool.

Pandora is super cute, too bad about not getting the Davers hair though.

Thanks for your comments guys.  @Alexandria_ - it's athletic that I have changed Aurora to  :)

Soon it was time for Pandora to have her next birthday. Grandma Elena took her to the cake and it was sparkles again for the little tike.

After a quick trip to the mirror Pandora aged up to a cute child.  Also gaining the Party Animal trait.

The family decided a trip to France was in order (being this close to the end I didn't want to have any traveling bugs hit so all the immortals, Aurora and Pandora went).  Whilst the immortals danced the days away Aurora concentrated on strength training work outs.

Pandora wanted to join in on the dancing but she used her time to practice writing.

As well as playing with the mirror  :D

Aurora soon supermaxed athletic and enjoyed the rest of the holiday with the immortals by having a dip in the Jacuzzis

Back home in Sunset Valley, it was time for Auroras adult birthday.  She threw a party and invited all her friends.  The party was a success and Aurora managed to gain a couple of extra best friends.

One day after school Pandora was at the Park, when she got a phone call.

Pandora:  HHHHHEEEELLLLLOOOOO
Voice:  *STATIC* Pandora?! *STATIC*
Pandora:  Yep, that's my name, don't wear it out.  *giggles*
Voice:  How old are you sweetheart? *STATIC*
Pandora:  Is that you Grandma----
Voice:  *STATIC* (quickly) Yes sweety.  How old are you?  *STATIC*
Pandora:  Silly Grandma, you should know it's my birthday tomorrow, it's all I've been talking about duh.  Do you remember what I want?
Voice:  *STATIC* Let me guess, a new book?  *STATIC*
Pandora:  Grandma, I told you I wanted-------
Voice:  *STATIC*  I know, a big shiny red car, you'll just have to wait and see sweety.  See you soon, love you *STATIC* (line cuts off).

Pandora thought it was strange that her Grandma would ask silly questions like that.  Must have something to do with getting old.

Sorry for the huge update

Elena took Aurora aside to speak with her about Pandora.

Elena:  I have made the decision not to tell Pandora about the Dynasty.
Aurora:  Why?
Elena:  Because, we are too close to completing to jeopardise this.  And do you want to be the one to tell her that she is going to become an immortal, but she can never love or bear a child?  If we tell her and she doesn't like it then think about all the sacrifices this family has made, it will all be for nothing.
Aurora:  The scarfices have been made out of choice, they were not forced upon us.  At anytime, any one of us could have chosen to give up, but we didn't.  We have done this all for you, the loves lost and the pain remembered by my Mother, your Daughter have all been for you and your obsession with completing the requirements.  Why did you decide to do this?  To put us all through this?
Elena:  I know the sacrafices that have been made, I have made a few myself.  I was so in love with my Gunther, but I knew I needed to pull away from him to save myself an eternity of heartache, but I couldn't.  I loved him dearly and the day that Grim showed up to take him, I was working to complete the challenges to gain immortality.  I didn't even get to say a final goodbye to him.
(Aurora could see the tears in the corners of her Grandmothers eyes)
Elena:  You want to know why I started this.  I love a challenge, I read about this in some old book, never thought in wildest dreams that it could be accomplished.  Selfish I know, but I thought it was a myth and looking back all them years ago now I realise I was naive, I have lived nearly 8 generations.  They say time is a healer, but everytime your Grandfather Gunther visits fresh wounds are opened and I want to do anything I can to join him, to rest with him.  But I won't I chose not to for the family.
Aurora:  Then Grandmother please, give Pandora the same choice.  She will chose the right path.
Elena:  I have made my decision Aurora, and you shall do well to accept that.
*Aurora storms off*

The family can feel the tension in the house.  Peta, Lisa and Lexa can all see the light at the end of the tunnel, but believe that Pandora should be allowed to make the choice that they had.

Pandora, thankfully is oblivious to the tension in the house and happily celebrates her birthday to teen.

Happy birthday Pandora. She gained the Bookworm trait.

Pandora came home from her first day of highschool and promptly started doing her homework like the good girl that she is.  After she finished up the stereo went haywire and turned it's self off.  She thought that was strange.  She when over and turned it back on but heard voices coming from behind the wall.

She leaned in close, tapped the wall and was blasted in the face with dust.

As the dust had moved she noticed light coming through the crack.  As she pressed her body against it to see if she could hear anything else the wall moved a little.  She decided to try and push the wall to see if she could move it.

As the wall gave way she tumbled into a strange room that was nothing like the house upstairs.

It was lit with torches and there were pictures of ghosts hanging on the wall, seven of them, but with a picture of her Dad as well.  There was also two sarcophagus's in the room and in the middle a set of stairs that descended down another level.

She peeked over the banister but still could quite make out what the voices where saying.  So being the confident girl that she was, she decided to go down to the next level.

As she descended the stairs, Pandora could hear the voices a bit more clearer now and they sounded very familiar.

Thanks for the comments guys, glad that you are enjoying the story.  The secret door was something I was toying with and I think it came across really well  ;D

@Alexandria - Pandora's hair came from the store, I think that it was the October (?!) Fest set, it was a daily deal a while back so I got it, I thought that the pigtails were much cuter than the one's that come with the game  ;)

As Pandora reached the bottom of the stairs, it opened up into a large room.  There were more torches down here and there were 8 corridors that came off the large room.  Pandora saw her two Grandmothers talking in the middle of the room in strange garments or were they robes?  But she was so over come with curiosity that she snuck into one of the rooms, outside of the room had a photo hanging titled Joseph Danvers, she had never met him but knew that he was Grandma Tesla's husband.  The room itself contained statues, photographs and portraits of her Grandma Tesla.  She was aware a child she had posed for various things but just thought that Grandma Lisa was obsessed with painting, sculpting and taking photographs (everyone has to have a hobby) and just yesterday after her party Grandma Lisa had sculpted her, but there was a chair in the middle of the room.  She thought this was strange.

Her Grandmothers voices carried in the cavernous room and she heard her name mentioned.  So Pandora hid behind the large griffon statue and listened.

Peta:  Mother, do you not think you are being a bit harsh, not telling Pandora?
Elena:  My dear Peta, in the beginning it was a pipe dream.  I never thought that we would come as far as we had.  If you are honest, did you think we would of achieved this much?
Peta:  Yes, I did as you had encouraged me, I did the same with my daughter and so on down the line.  Why should it be any different with Pandora?  Why can't she be given the choice?
Elena:  *angrily* Because now it is not a choice.  Out of everyone I though you would be the one to understand the most.
Peta:  Do not be angry with me, Mother.  I understand that you do not want to jeopardise the Dynasty and I can feel we are close.  Possibly something to do with how long I have been eating the ambrosia for, but I also feel that Grim is watching and waiting.
Elena:  Yes my child I feel that too, which is why I don't want to put all that we have accomplished in the hands of a child.
Peta:  But Mother------
Elena: NO, I will not have it.  I do not want to be the one to look into her eyes and tell her the family secret.  I will not be the one to tell her that she cannot love, she cannot leave, she cannot have a child, but she can live forever.  If I do that what does she have to live for?
Peta:  But one of the others is working-----
Elena:  Peta I love you, like I love each and everyone of my daughters, but Pandora can make or break this.  She will work towards her requirements for immortality but she will not know that which she has to give up!

Pandora was stunned.  Immortality?!  Dynasty?!  Requirements?!  She came out from behind her hiding place and confronted her Grandmothers.

Pandora:  Explain yourselves.
Peta:  Pandora, please stay calm.
Pandora:  No, I have just heard you talking about my life as if I don't have a choice in what I do or say.
Elena:  Let me explain, your destiny has already been written.
Pandora:  Destiny?!
Elena:  Yes, you will become the eighth Immortal in the Danvers line.
Pandora:  But I heard you talk about me not having children or a boyfriend?  I'm confused.
Elena:  Yes I know you must find this confusing but that is your destiny.
Pandora:  And what if I don't want to, what if I want a family and a husband.  I look around this room and see pictures of past Danvers men and how happy my Grandmothers are when I hear them talking about them.  What if I want that?
Elena:  As I said it is your destiny to become the eighth Immortal, those are things that don't concern you.
Pandora:  NO.  I will not have my life decided for me.
Elena:  Child, your life was decided hundreds of years before you were even born.  You do not have a choice in the matter.
Pandora:  I can't believe that you were not going to tell me any of this, to make my own choice.  How dare you-----
Elena:  How dare I what, provide you with a roof over your head, give you any material thing that you desire, take you on holidays that you would not have experience otherwise, cook your meals?  Need I go on?

Pandora was exasperated, confused and angry.  She started to cry.

Elena:  Look its very late you have, school tomorrow.  Lets talk about this later.  Get yourself to bed and we will talk tomorrow.
Pandora:  I do not want to talk to you ever again!!

That night as Pandora slept she had an idea.

The she got up early went to the store and gave herself a makeover.

She rebelled against her Grandmothers and mother.  She didn't go to school and would spend her days driving around Sunset Valley in her birthday present

*Car stereo* She's a rebel, she's a saint, she's the salt of the earth and she's dangerous.

One night Pandora was out after curfew, when a cop drove past.

Police Officer:  You realise you're out after curfew don't you.
Pandora:  Whatever.

Pandora tried to run but the policeman caught up to her.

He put her in the police car and took her home.

Police Officer:  Please take this as your first warning.  If you are caught out after curfew again, you will spend the night in the cells.
Pandora:  Oooo exciting.  So it's a date, tomorrow I'll meet you in the park at 11pm? *laughs*

Aurora was waiting for Pandora as the police station had phoned ahead to let her know.

Aurora:  Pandora, what are you playing at?  We can't have the police coming to the house it's not good for your reputation.
Pandora:  Yeah, well what are you going to do.  You can't kick me out, goes against the rules.  You can't stop me, it's all about the free will of me.
Aurora:  Pandora, please.  I know it wasn't nice the way that you found out but, please understand I did want to tell you.  Don't punish me for your Grandmothers view, I'm your mother.
Pandora:  You call yourself a mother?! HA, a laughable concept.  A mother would of told her daughter, would of wanted to give her a choice.  She would not procreate in order to have the eighth immortal.  Listen Aurora, just call yourself what you want.
Aurora:  Pandora, I love you yes it was the wrong.  But my hands were tied, I didn't have a choice.  I could----
Pandora:  We always have a choice!

With that she left her mother on the front lawn and went off to bed.

The next day instead of being at school Pandora was hanging in the Park when her phone rang.  She checked the caller display and it was one of her Grandmothers.  She sighed but answered.

Pandora:  What?
Grandmother:  Is that how you answer your phone?  Not very polite.
Pandora:  Yeah, well when you have been told your going to live forever, what is the point in being polite.
Grandmother:  Oh, so your there.
Pandora:  Where?!  I'm at the park, couldn't be bothered with school again.  I'm having way too much fun.
Grandmother:  Pandora, it may not seem it but things will work out in the end I promise you.  Just-----
Pandora:  Listen Grandma, I've heard it, you've all tried to talk to me, but I found out about the Dynasty in the most awful way imaginable.  Image going along in your life happy and feeling loved.  Only to be slapped in the face with the only reason you were born, the only reason you exist is to be the eighth Immortal!  Do you know how that makes me feel?!

Pandora could feel her voice starting to crack and the tears were coming as they stung her eyes she hung up the phone without waiting for a response from her Grandma.

Thanks guys.  I'd actually forgotton about that photo on the wall lol  ;D

Another day and Pandora didn't go to school.  She was fed up with driving around town that she set herself up in the corner of the Park with her laptop.

Pandora was so consumed in her writing that she didn't notice when Grandma Portia had found her.

Portia:  Can you put the laptop away and we'll talk.
Pandora:  There is nothing to talk about.
Portia:  Please child.

Pandora looked at her Grandmother and noticed something in her eyes that she had never seen before.  Her Grandmother looked wiser.  Reluctantly, Pandora put her laptop away and give her Grandmother her full attention.

Portia:  I can understand how you are feeling, but I made a promise to you whilst I was pregnant with Lexa that I would help you when it was time.  Yes you did not choose to be born into the Dynasty, but you must understand how important it is for your family that you complete your requirements.
Pandora:  I more than understand that.  Is this you helping me reminding me of the hurt, betrail I feel?
Portia:  No child, it is not yet time for that, I still have a lot of planning to do, I will tell you when the time is right.  Please understand that this is not what I want for you, no member of the family wants you to go through this much heart ache or to never know love.  When the time is right I will tell you my plan but you must trust me.  Can you do that?

Pandora saw the passion in her Grandma's eyes, knew that she spoke the truth.

Pandora:  Yes Grandma I trust you.  I'm sorry the way that I have been acting lately.  I am just so conflicted, I wanted you all to know how I feel and not be so wrapped up in 'Oh, Pandora is acting out, what is going to happen to the Dynasty?'  I never planned on ruining it you know.
Portia:  I know child.  You are loved and wanted by all the family.  It was cruel the way that you found out, but is it better to know than to not?
Pandora:  I am glad that I found out, I just wish I had been told.
Portia:  We all wanted to tell you, but Grandma Elena can be a bit stubborn at times *laughs*
Pandora:  Yes I know that *laughs*

Pandora:  Thank you Grandma.
Portia:  Your welcome child.

Pandora rushed home and apologised to her mother for the way that she had been acting and that she will go forward.

Pandora started a new routine of going to school and she posed for her portrait and photograph.  She changed back to her red dress, but she liked the hair and decided to keep it.

Portia:  You have certainly turned yourself around, I'm proud of you.
Pandora:  Thanks Grandma.  It was all you and our chat in the Park.
Portia:  Park?  Oh yes that, well I'm glad I could help.
Pandora:  You did more than that Grandma.

Two days before Pandora's Young Adult Birthday, she completed her LTW of Professional Author.

Pandora threw herself a party at home, to celebrate her new found self and becoming a young adult.  All of her friends came that she had met at school and some that she hadn't invited.  She took a deep breath to blow out the candles and remembered her Grandmothers words.  Yes she did trust her.

After a trip to the mirror and an additional trait of Hopeless Romantic, Pandora was ready for young adult.
