Portia started to work towards her requirements for immortality.  However, when she wasn't fixing or inventing she was being a normal teenager with her best friend and sister Columbia.  They did everything together.  They were good girls in high school and always did their homework

As well as practicing dancing at home

Before hitting the bars

They both went on holiday to Eygpt with Grandma Peta and enjoyed sitting round the camp fire talking and roasting food

Peta earned enough visa points to reach level 3 within a couple of days of being on holiday.  So they purchased a holiday home.  Peta knew how quick a Sims life span is and wanted Columbia to experience the best whilst she was here.  Portia had time to work on her inventing skill, although from the picture I think that she needs a bit more practice

And Columbia enjoyed lazing by the pool and cooling off in the water

When they returned from holiday all the girls of the family had a catch up in the jacuzzi

Portia and Columbia also spent time with their Dad Joseph playing computer games (I've never seen a Sim past the Teen stage sit on the floor and play computer games)

Thanks lilygirl - I think it's just too cute that you can do that

Elena was deep in thought on the day of Portia and Columbia's birthday.  She was pleased with the way her family was achieving what she had started, she had come to realise how boring immortality can get.  Although, she had achieved so much, her precious daughter Peta had witnessed so much death if only she could protect her family from witnessing that and save them from the pain of losing those who are close to them.  Portia knew of the requirements for immortality and Elena knew how important she was to the family.

Portia threw the birthday party for them and as she was on the cusp of adulthood she knew that she must continue forward for the family

So much so that she aged up into maternity clothes

Portia's full traits are Lucky, Eccentric, Handy, Family Oriented and Genius

Columbia's full traits are Vehicle Enthusiast, Computer Whiz, Clumsy, Dramatic and Excitable

For some reason in the game after the party had finished this guest (name escapes me) decided to celebrate, probably a bug

Portia went out in the dead of night to detonate a monument

It was a pitiful explosion, but she got over 1800 scrap units (that should keep her going for a while)

Portia also received the Master Invention opportunity and built her very first Simbot Herman (although he did disappear into the ether after he moved out)

It may of had something to do with Portia's rejection

Joseph continues to make me laugh, I found him hanging out in Lisa's bathroom first sitting on the toilet (not doing anything, just sitting quietly)

Then the toilet must of been uncomfortable as he moved to the side of the bath to sit (never ever seen that, I'm so glad Metro came up with this, I'm finding loads of things out about the Sims that I never knew and probably would never of found out!)

Tesla still loves her crazy old coot and they spent time together in Joseph's favourite place, the jacuzzi  :)

Thanks lilygirl  ;D

To help towards obtaining level 10 in the invention career Portia, Columbia and Grandma Elena took an 18 day holiday to France.  It give Columbia time to work out

As well as time to work on writing her books

Portia worked hard on inventing those all important Widgets and Big Inventions

Inventing is very important to the Paparazzi

However, it wasn't all work for Portia, she caught some butterfly's one in the town park

And a special one known as Glowy - however, Portia thought it was more appropriate to call it Tink

In the early hours of the morning whilst on holiday the Danvers' Ladies were rudely awoken by a burglar, thankful the nice French Policeman took him away

After spending the majority of her trip inventing away Portia thought it was time for a party she celebrated early before any of the guests arrived

Elena was happily grooving away to the music whilst sat at the table

The girls also spent some nice quality time with Grandma Elena (this is after Columbia has lost her weight, I don't think I like her like this I think she looks better the other way)

Upon returning to Sunset Valley Portia had made quite a few Widgets and Big Inventions ready to sell at the Consignment Shop.  She had also made three best friends.  Well on her way to achieving her requirements for immortality

Upon returning to Sunset Valley Lisa was sculpting an ice sculpture when I realised she had been watching Dumb and Dumber (it gave me a giggle)

However there was sad news for the family, about 3am Joseph Danvers was feeling quite right

Death had come for another Danvers man

Peta watched her grand-children mourn for the death of Joseph, husband and father

Peta was so overcome with emotion that when this burglar tried to steal from them she didn't let him get within an inch of the house

A fight broke out and all the pent up emotions that Peta had been holding onto broke out

She was victorious but it didn't take away the horrible pain that she was feeling

The burglar however, thought it would be wise to run away with what little dignity he could

RIP Joseph (Readon) Danvers aged 97 days

R.I.P. Joseph
If that burglar had been reading the obituaries he would have known better than to pick that specific house!

Thanks guys Joseph was one of my favourites of the spouses to play, although I did really just let him do what he wanted it was fun to watch

If that burglar had been reading the obituaries he would have known better than to pick that specific house!

I think that could be why he did pick that house thinking that they would be too over come with grief to do anything!  I didn't control Peta to do that she got up and did it herself, I think she wanted to save her family from more worry.  She has the brave trait and she some athletic points, so that may have contributed to it.  All I can think is 'Go Grandma Peta'  ;D

Just a little up date, slightly off topic.  I tried to cheer the family up by getting Portia to throw a party it was going really well.  There were a couple of vampires attending the Craft sisters Regina and Claire.  I can't remember who is who though but this is one of the sisters (I think that the angle of the photo does her no justice)

Then suddenly all the Sims were rushing to the first floor terrace........

One of the Craft sisters hadn't been eating her plasma fruit and promptly turned into a pile of dust!

But it wasn't over one of the Toussaint Tisseur's who was visiting from France (and was one of Portia's best friends) had decided that today, would be the day he would meet his maker

But at least he enjoyed the party (right?!)

Apparently, this Craft sister makes Grim laugh and he wants to see, how else she can entertain him before he takes her (and apparently dying is one hell of a diet regime)

Toussaint explained to Grim that he had lived a long and fulfilling life and accepted his death with dignity

Grim stuck around long enough to get Elena's autograph - although he is infuriated with how far the Danvers have got he gets weak at the knees for a celebrity

Portia quickly rushed to her, now thin, friends' side told her how glad she was that she hadn't been taken and gave her a hug

Although, Portia was happy that Grim had spared one of her friends this awful night, she promptly asked the Craft sister to leave when she noticed that she was still rather hungry

After the guests had left, Portia noticed that Toussaint's grave stone was on the terrace.  She picked it up and made a silent promise to him that she would one day return him to his native home.

Yes lilygirl, I completely agree, Grim does show up when you don't want him to!!

Portia was well on her way to completing her requirements for immortality.  She knew she needed to have a baby, to keep the dynasty going, however, she had yet to meet the right kinda man.  Until she was selling some of her gadgets at the consignment store and she came across Matt Holton.

Portia was immediately attracted to Matt.  She asked him his sign and they were compatible, she then got a wish to kiss Matt

So after a bit of flirting and a precariously placed tent, they finally kissed

And what better way then to celebrate finding true love than to woohoo in a tent outside the consignment store with the paparazzi watching

Afterwards, Portia and Matt felt wonderful, as if they had been waiting all there lives to meet eachother.  They were going on a date to the Bistro when Matt suddenly remembered that he had to go to work.  Although, Portia was disappointed she knew that Matt would be thinking about her all through work, she could tell because of the way that he strutted his stuff when he left the tent  ;D

Portia waited for Matt to finish his shift at the Theater and rushed over to his house where she popped the question

Matt was shocked, it felt like everything was going so fast but not fast enough.

Matt accepted Portias proposal and she was so over come she jumped into his waiting arms

Portia planned a beautiful wedding outside her house on the front lawn.  And over night a fountain and pillars appeared a perfect setting for a wedding

However, the bride and groom decided that the area was just not them and exchanged vows 10 feet away

They sealed their love for one another with a kiss

Meanwhile back at the house Chrissy Crosby and one of the Craft sisters had become stuck and did not leave for the ceremony.  The Craft sister had been standing for so long that she was starving

She promptly turned into a pile of dust. Chrissy, on the other hand, was so happy to be rid of the vamp that was depleting the food supply

When Grim arrived, Chrissy showed him how happy she was at the Craft girls' death by throwing confetti

Apparently, this Craft sister did not get a second chance at undead living and Grim took her away much to Chrissy's delight

Grim sure knows how to rain on a happy day in the Danvers house

After the wedding Portia wasn't feeling too well herself

I wonder why that could be?
