I was playing Sims 3 in Dragon Valley without any problems (except possibly my NHD files which would become unexpectedly huge rendering the game not particularly enjoyable) on 20 April. When I opened the Dragon Valley game the next night (21 April), it told me that I couldn't open it. When I clicked the New Game option, it didn't have any of the Store Worlds. So then I tried to open a Moonlight Falls file and was successful in it opening but my Store CC has gone. My Store generated plants are missing entirely. The Skylight Studio for the Performing Arts has mats where there were dance floors and mounted fish pictures where there should be ballet warm up barres. The Stones Throw Greenhouse has columns were the Grow Stations should be and the little Sunflowers there have all turned into those sunflower in vase found in decor. The Al Fresco Street Market became a vacant lot as did the Prism Art Studio.
So, I tried a Factory Reset. This was not my first Factory Reset but I followed the instructions carefully. I still get the same result despite taking about 8 hours to reinstall all the CC worlds and lots I regularly use. Nothing has changed except the Install Content folder is just not there on the tree. So I created one and filled it with the content from the Store. I checked the launcher, the Store Worlds appear two or three times as Objects but only once in the Lot section. The CC venues appear in both Objects and Lots but do no appear in game. I copied a save file from the previous version and double checked. All the Store CC is either changed into base game objects or missing entirely. Basically, I have base game worlds and objects only found in expansion and stuff packs. I could play this but base game clothes and hairstyles are irritating. I LOVE my CC.
Help please.
