The Secret of Mummy Snacks

I've only had a couple of encounters with mummies so far.  My Sim had purchased Mummy Snacks from the Special Merchant in Al Simhara because he got beat up by the first mummy and these are supposed to distract a mummy while you get away.  Or something.  He came upon a married mummy couple (for some reason, I didn't expect a mummy to be female) and when he was about to be attacked, each of them stopped while my Sim ducked for the attack.  King Raymundo Something said he likes Mummy Snacks and wondered if my Sim had any napkins.  Lol!  Same thing happened with his mummy wife, minus the napkin part.  My Sim didn't do anything to give them the snacks; he just had them in his inventory.  I guess that's all it takes to ward off an attack.  After their snack, both mummies went peacefully back into their sarcophagi.

Mummies are funny, why would a long dead body wrapped in PAPER ask for a napkin? Lol, Sims is so funny sometimes!!!

This happened to my Sim too and I was actually kind of annoyed.
I deliberately didn't buy any mummy snacks because I wanted my Sim to be attacked by a mummy. I wanted to see if she could beat them up or would get cursed or what. But she had been fishing and caught a box with a mummy snack in it so that went in her inventory and I forgot about it.

When I finally came across a mummy he didn't attack her but just asked for a napkin and then went back in his coffin.
So that's how I figured out how mummy snacks work. I even tried to have her look in the sarcophagus he was in to make him come back out but she just found a treasure in there, no mummy.

Yeah, I had that happen with one of my mummy encounters too. I think it's strange though how there aren't any interactions that the sim can take with the mummy snacks....like "offer a snack"...."throw it at the mummy"... "eat in front of the mummy"... something...anything. Instead, you just have to have them in your inventory and the mummies can take them at will. (or not)  I stocked up on mummy snacks while in Egypt this time....bought 40 of them!!  And out of all the mummies she's seen, (there have been like 6 so far) only 1 snack has been used. I think that must have been the one who wasn't very nice. All the other mummies she's encountered seemed to like her for some reason. LOL

Wow, i bet you have a really pretty sim to have all the mummies love you. Lol be funny if they pruposed to her. That would be SO cool! I would say no and watch them cry.

LOL....who knows....maybe that's where her little boy came from....ya know the one she didn't know she had?   

I have tried to interact with the mummies to see if I could make friends with them, but you don't get any interactions with them unfortunately. If I was able, I'd add one to my household and befriend him....maybe marry him!  LOL

@RockinRobin, does your Sim have the "eye candy" reward?  That's supposed to make her more attractive to everyone.    If not, then I guess your Sims traits are just what Mummies like!

Yes she does have the eye candy reward.

Yep, been cursed before, or rather sims has been.   I don't like it...it made negative moodlet for up to 14 sim days then sim dies or turns into mummy, not sure cause I had him plead at the Sphinx.  Not hard to go through that tomb to be cleansed, thank heavens.  Now that I think back, I should've let the days pass and see what happened.

One thing I've noticed that really cracks me up: whenever my Sim has encountered a mummy she gets that "New friend" moodlet!

She has completed the Celebrity charisma challenge and has the Attractive reward so everyone she meets is a friend but still... mummies! The mummy will be listed as an enemy in the relationship panel and then she turns it into a pile of dust on the floor but she still has the new friend moodlet.

Same thing happens with my sim and she's also achieved the celebrity challenge and has the eye candy reward. She always seems happy to meet the mummies and it's quite amusing at times.
