Pets and Mods

I am very attached to my Sim's cat Diamond.  I was wondering if someone has made a mod to make pets immortal.

Not sure about a mod for that, but there's a game mechanic that lets your pets live forever as long as you pay attention.  The vet's office will have a vending machine that will sell you an Age Down treat.  Giving that to your pet will revert it to the BEGINNING of the previous life stage- so, wait for them to turn Elder, then give them the treat, and they will revert to day 1 of Adult.  If you give it to them before they age up to Elder, they'll become a puppy or kitten!  The baby stage is quite short though.

I totally get being attached to your virtual sim pets. I myself have been playing with a family for a long time, like Im already in their thirs generation - and the initial dogs the first two had are still around! (Its a little corgie called Crusty and a golden retriever called Shadow for anyone who care). I am also not aware of a mod but the vendin machine treats do be very helpful! I also usually play on the settings "long life spand" for my sims and I get the feeling, that this also applies to the pets to some extent. At least those two dont really age up very quickly. Before I was aware of the "age down" treat you can buy at the vets one of my doggies died. But he stayed around as a ghost! If that happens to you - there is also a revival treat available at the vets vending machine! So that really is the place to go, to make your beloved virtual buddy immortal!
