Possible Bug: My sim applied to university and now can not check application...

So I was preparing my sim to go to Uni, and wanted to move her to a tiny home to work on skills before going to school. I applied while she was living in her apartment, and then moved to the tiny lot. I can still check scholarships and they show awarded, but can not check university application or reapply. All I can do is research universities. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know a fix? I am running repairs on my game to see if that will help. I don't do a lot of university play, so I probably broke my own game.

I searched on this - Sims 4 university can not check application. It seems to be a issue with others as well, but I'm not seeing a fix or work around.

Thank you for the advise. Here's hoping I can find a fix, but if not I guess my sim will just attend the school of life lol

I could not find any kind of work around mentioned online, but decided I should check if there was a cheat available to fix the issue. With Testing Cheats turned on, I was able to click my sim and select University Debug Menu. Then I was able to select Enroll in University. I picked the degree I was planning on taking and everything worked as normal. My acceptance letters also came in the mail after the end of the first semester. So, do not move in between applying to university and checking your acceptance letter, but if you do, the cheat will fix it.

I just had this issue as of 20 February 2023 and have found a workaround solution.

1) Remove the unreadable acceptance letter from the sim's inventory and place it somewhere on their lot.

2) Go into Build Mode, select the letter, and delete it.

3) Return to Live Mode and that will reset the university process for that sim. Have them reapply via the mailbox or computer.

4) The new letter should arrive the next day or so. Make sure to have the sim read it the day it arrives and they'll be able to select their university and classes!
