Technophobe is good if you want a yellow ghost. It's also good for smashing all your enemy's electronics.

Yeah but mostly it's hard to use since technology is usually the main way to entertain my Sims.

For someone who hates Absent-Minded, you sounded like you have it! ::)

Ha, the reason I dislike Absent-Minded so much is because I'm a bit of a ditz myself. It's hard enough remembering all the interactions I want to cue up one time around, let alone again when my Sims forget it. So yeah, it gets on my nerves a bit.

Yeah I dislike technophobe because they get a bad mood just by walking pass the tv. Absent minded too because I like to cue them to eat and use the toilet before they sleep, so sometimes they just go on to sleep hungry and wanting to go ):

Reading this thread makes me think that a Zero to hero type dynasty would be quite fun to do.

Thanks for the replies everyone.  I am gonna start first with Grumpy , Absent Minded, Clumsy, Coward and then Loser.  Then I will mix and match others in and see how this goes.  I like the idea of a challenge of Zero to Hero. That would be fun.

There are some traits I just don't like, such as Eco-friendly and Mean-spirited.  But what would be really interesting, now that we have the ability to choose whatever LTW we want for our sims, would be to play a sim whose LTW conflicts with his/her traits.  Like a Couch Potato who wants to maximize Athletics and Martial Arts, for example.  Or an Unflirty Loner who wants to be a Heartbreaker.

The only almost impossible LTW I can think of would be for a non-klepto to attempt "Possesion is Nine-Tenths of the Law"

I think it's completely impossible for a non-klepto to even complete that wish unless maybe they were in the criminal career track.

Yeah. Criminal was exactly what I was thinking. I think that the "extra trinkets" count towards this.

No Sense of Humor, Grumpy, Hot Headed, Perfectionist and Unflirty were the most difficult. Hot Headed Sims seem to always have grudges, while No Sense of Humor Sims are offended and kick Childish Sims and Sims with Sense of humor out. Grumpy sims are always in bad moods no matter what, and Unflirty Sims are harder to get the relationship meter up...I also don't like the Nerotic trait...and the Coward trait is amusing but also dangerous.

however, I like the Evil, Childish and Insane traits the best: I love it when they get options "Do Evil Dance" "Make Evil Drinks" "Evil Drink" "Evil Shower" "Evil Slumber" and that Evil Glow...*in Cartman's voice* Sweet!!!! I love when they go on the computer and have the "Troll on Forum" option that's pretty funny. I'm not an evil person, real life or Sims, I just think the "evil" interactions are sweet. I love the Childish trait, mainly because I'm pretty childish (and I made my sim childish too). NOTE TO CARL: Unlike most sims, childish sims can read "child devolopment" books alone, and will have both options "Read" and "Read With" when a toddler is present. Insane sims are fun too. They sit on toliets, wear bunny slippers to the park, work out in their formal outfits, swim in their pj's, etc. too funny. The sim I made of my cousin is insane and she went to the Bistro in her PJ's haha.

Yeah I dislike technophobe because they get a bad mood just by walking pass the tv.

It's an easy fix, really:  you simply put televisions in the bedrooms and stock the rest of the house with bookcases, easels, sculpting stations and boom boxes (they don't get the emote from the cheap one at least, because besides jogging it's the only way they can work out).

But there is one thing I absolutely love about technophobes:  it's a great way to boost another sim's handiness skill.  Pair one up with a handy sim and have him make the rounds in the house sabotaging everything they can get their hands on while the handy sim follows him around fixing them.  If you add this to a bunch of cheap toilets, showers and sinks throughout the house, you can max handiness and complete two of the 3 challenges in no time at all.

Since I made a list of all traits with their benefits and disadvantages on my site, here are my findings.

Completely useless traits that doesn't give your Sim any good or bad advantages:
Absent Minded: Occasionally drops an action from cue, but nothing special otherwise.
Can't Stand Art: Mood lowers when watching art. When does your Sim watches art anyway?
Clumsy: Occasionally trips a bit but that doesn't hinder the Sim much.
Easily Impressed: I never really understood what this trait does.
Hydrophobic: If you don't let your Sims swim, this trait doesn't do much.
Loser: They win less often with games and such but is that really that bad?
Never nude: Most useless trait in the game.
Unflirty: Treshold for flirting is a bit higher but not that much.
Vehicle Enthusiast: Unless your Sim is a car fanatic, it doesn't do much useful.

Makes the game harder:
Dislikes Children: Bad mood around kids and shoos kids away. Tough when that Sim has kids.
Hot-headed: Very tough one to use. Even their loved ones will be insulted at times by a hot-head.
Neurotic: Needs to check items like stoves, has the need to watch out of the window and gets annoying wishes like washing hands.
No Sense of Humor: Doesn't like jokes and fun goes down faster.
Technophobe: A mooddrop when watching tv, slower writing skill and may break electronics.

A bit inbetween useless and harder:
Commitment Isues: It makes it harder to marry someone.
Coward: Afraid of the dark moodlet and runs from fights and fire, but that's it.
Grumpy: A permanent -15 moodlet but not much else.
Hates the outdoors Ok they get a pretty big -20 mood outside but on the other hand never get "stir crazy".
Mean: A bit like Hot-headed but have more positive things like higher mood around enemies.
Loner: Lower mood around people but when alone, they're mood goes up. Depends how large the family is.
Unlucky: Though some things are bad, you can live with it easily.
Shy: Similar to loner. Both negative as positive things.

The Easily Impressed trait gives them the ability to "enthuse about" various things.  I think it makes them react more positively to other sims' bragging, but I haven't tested that.

As for the Grumpy trait, I had Mortimer Goth in my Clan Douglas Dynasty, and the only time it ever affected his mood was when the Founder's wife, Holly, died.  Everyone in the household got a negative mood then, of course, but his negative moodlet was twice as bad as anyone else.  Normally, I had no trouble at all keeping him in a good mood.  He never had any unusual negative moodlets.
