Most difficult traits to play with ...
« on: January 05, 2011, 05:12:04 PM »
I am just trying to make the game a little harder and I was wondering what the 5 worst traits to play a Sim with would be?  Any suggestions?

I can only think of one trait, I despise Absent-minded.  When ever I move a townie/NPC Sim in with that trait, I usually cheat so I can change the trait right away.  That is a very hard trait for me to play with.

Eco-Friendly just really irks me. I mean, if you ride in a car alone, you get a ridiculous moodlet. I would also say grumpy, hates children and hates the outdoors are bad ones.

I forgot about grumpy, I recently adopted a child that had grumpy trait, first time playing with it.  It was annoying having her wake up about every other day with a -20 moodlet.  I cheated and changed her traits, too.

I suppose it all depends what you are trying to achieve. For instance giving a Sim the loner trait would mean making friends would be harder but it would help if you wanted your Sim to be a self employed writer or painter.
I personally don't think any traits make the game easier of harder.

If you have the Shy moodlet, you basically have a negative moodlet all the time unless everyone around you is your friend (or you're alone).

Also, the Light Sleeper trait is a bit difficult to deal with since you're more likely to be tired all the time.

OK , absent minded and grumpy are good. Basically I am looking for traits with no benefit what so ever to make the start of the game for any Sim as hard as possible. As for loner, it has a plus side of your social bar decays slowly. Hates the outdoors saves you from going loopy if you stay home to much [or what ever is it]. Eco friendly is a good one in the beginning since the low end stuff wastes water and they hate driving by themself's.

Light sleeper sounds good as well.  I have noticed when chatting with sims near others when they are sleeping they get up and give you the ole your face with a red slash through it bird.

Ah yes loser , another wonderful choice.  Hmmm I noticed grumpy and hot headed are mutually exclusive.  Darn.

Easily Impressed-They randomly clap and cheer and it kinda creeps me out.

Clumsy-They start fires, like, every time they use the stove or they always break the sink.

Coward-I hate how they pass out at fires, and they usually choose to do it RIGHT next to the fire, so they always catch on fire.

Can't Stand Art-I can't stand them! They get a bad moodlet even if they see a picture of a $2 watercolor stick man.

Unlucky: -5 Moodlet almost everyday, and they are always breaking things. This although, spares your Sims from death by accident.

Unlucky sims are immune to death by fire, by electrocution, by drowning and I believe by meteor too, so it isn't a good choice... or bad choice... hm... confused.

Mean-spirited is irksome.  They're prone to starting fights.  Losers get negative moodlets from school and work often.

They are immune to death by everything but old age, so yeah- Hard decision

I know this has already been mentioned, but Grumpy, for sure. I never choose that trait, as it's kind of like Over Emotional- But without the benefit part. ::)

I would have to say absent-minded because when you cue up their actions they randomly "forget" and then you have to watch them constantly to make sure they do it.
It's harder to multitask with them because I'm one of those players that cues up all their daily activities when they are asleep and then once they wake up just let them have at it all day.
