Prologue

Well, hello there!  I'm Hiromi Nana.
Would you mind terribly if I vent some?

My parents are so angry with me right now!
Papa's been transferred to his firm's overseas subsidiary for two years, but I refused to go with.

So now we're playing chicken, I guess.
He and Mama dumped me off in a different hood of our hometown of Mt. Komorebi.
Before their flight, they said, "A disobedient daughter like you should learn to live on your own!"

First, I spend $2,500 on a lot in Senbamachi, then another $7,500 on a little house.

It's embarrassingly bare and some of the walls and floors are still unfinished.
But it's where I'll call home for now.

I know that my parents must be secretly terribly worried about me.
How can I put their mind at ease about my well-being while they're gone?
 Oh, I've got it!

Once I tell them that I'm starting a dynasty of seven heroes, they'll stop fretting over me!
Right?  Right!?
Now, where'd that long list of rules go?

Oh man, what a premise!  "Well, I'll show them!  I'll just start a massively successful dynasty!"  Loving it!
That little house is just adorable!!  And tiny, so hooray for the skill boost  ;=)
Looking forward to seeing/reading more!!  :=)

[1.1.  Hi Ho, Hi Ho, High School

Week 1, Sunday

I totally luck out while fishing at Magnolia Promenade!
When I'm about to invite this lady to fish with me, I notice she can mentor fishing.

In the evening, I drop by the library to do my homework and socialize.
A Tech Guru named Travis Scott tries to hit on me.
Can't he tell I'm still in high school?

Travis is too old for me, but he's pretty famous in our simverse.
I'm glad he finally decide to lose that tired old pullover of his. He's looking fly!

Monday

You see that fridge?  It's already my second fridge.
My first one broke and I tried repairing it for hours and hours!
By the time I'd given up, my Handiness went from Level 2 to 5!
So I finally had to replace it. Weird.

Tuesday

While I'm at school, Patchy waters my plants. I'll need to fence him out.

You can see my seven woodworked objects, can't you?
I crafted a mirror, 2 garden pots, and 4 garden planters.
Thanks to the darn fridge, I'm Level 8 Handiness now.

My first day of high school was okay.
Don't tell Watcher I told you, but she is losing her touch.
Can you believe she didn't even remember to make me "work hard"?  Hahaha.

Wednesday

The Nishidake and Akiyama families make a Welcome Wagon visit.
I'm hoping that one of them will help me with my homework.
It wasn't my intention, though, to kneel on the stone floor in the genkan.

Kado Akiyama: Jenna and I don't mind at all helping with your school project.
But, Hiromi, working on it on the grass like this, it's not right!

Hiromi: Like I can afford anything better, Mr. Akiyama!

.Friday

I rush to blow out my birthday candles while I have three positive character values in range.
You're probably wondering why the cake is outside.
After four tries, I couldn't age up after blowing out my candles indoors.
Probably a platform issue--Watcher hasn't got those figured out right yet.

Or maybe it's not Watcher's fault.
For some reason, I'm a young adult with a +50 Embarrassed mood swing.
Glitched much?
Whatever. I am off to the adoption agency, dragging my feet and all!

And here's my precious little boy.
Jin is the name I gave him (sorry, I've already forgotten his original name).
Like me, he loves the outdoors. Score!

We have a late dinner, then we're off to Granite Falls.
After doubling our home's floor area, I'm down to just over $2,000. Ouch!
Deity of Camping Mascot Sculptures to the rescue!

Saturday

And here's Jin after his makeover.
What an intelligent-looking kid!

I know, I know. Kado Akiyama is a married man. (Darn my luck!)
But I flirt with him anyway to fulfill my Flirty whim. (He doesn't seem to mind…)

And with that, I'm done with all my requirements.
Super Hero Project, here I come!

Love it! Love it! That walk to the adoption agency is priceless. Great job on Jin's makeover - and score on his trait!

Regarding the birthday cake - I had trouble indoors too - it was the small space. I don't remember this happening before, but now the sim walks away from the table to age up, and if there isn't enough room to do that, they can't age up there. Mine were popping into other rooms and even outside. I finally moved the table outside too, and then it was fine. There should be enough room inside for Krista to age up in a couple of sim days - I'll let you know if she can age up inside.

Thank you so much for confirming that, GlazeyLady, and explaining the source of the problem. I'm relieved to know that the problem's with The Game, not just my game.
I'd used platforms to create the genkan entryway, so deleted them and raised the foundation instead. *sighs
Still, still I've never had a teen age up while keeping their mood swing. My sim had that +50 Embarrassed mood for another 3 hours after blowing out her candles.
It' sworrying because teens can't die from emotional deaths but young adults can.  :(

P.S. Has your Rosalee been working as a fashion consultatnt for Travis Scott?

Welcome to the family Jin.
I have had Sims die immediately after aging up from teen because they still have the mortified or really angry moods from teenager.

Congrats on having so much success so quickly!
I've had the caking issues with a tiny home as well.  Oddly, in the same home I've had kids need to go outside to age and be able to stay inside.
That issue with the fridge was the big kicker for me in this update.  I don't know whether to be delighted for you that it gave her so much opportunity to raise her handiness skill or sad for you that it ate up so much of her time and then still didn't work.
Regardless, lovely update, Jin is great (and is probably a way cooler name than whatever name he originally had), and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your awesome heroes  :=)

The growing up issue is a known bug. It can happen in any house, regardless of platforms or size. A friend of mine with a spacious Legacy house had the same issue.

Hiromi is a cutie and so is Jin. Hiromi is a little shameless, though, flirting with a married man! But, hey, a Sim's gotta do what a Sim's gotta do, right? Looking forward to more!
