Social Event Goals not showing

It's always worked in the past but now when I use the phone to plan a social event, the Event name shows up on the top left but there are no goals there and so the event just runs out and you get a thumbs down for your party. Does anyone know why this happens? I've tried a few different types of parties and events. Thank you.
