Adding to projects:

Develop a soup kitchen by maxing the Charity Organizer branch of the Politics career and serving 70 free meals in a restaurant. If you don't have Dine Out, then your Sim can grill 70 meals in a park.

Make Sim world safer by performing 70 handiness upgrades on community lots.

Guide 7 different Sims to the top of Mt. Komorebi in one or more Mountain Excursions.

Thank you so much for the new projects! :)

I also thought of a new hero task. Max the herbalism skill and make/give away 70 herbal remedies. I know it's similar to the scientist one, but it would utilize Granite Falls and add a different skill.

Yes, that's a good one. I'd been thinking it was too difficult because Seasons has made it so difficult to get the Outdoor Lover aspiration (or whatever its name is), but the Herbalism skill doesn't require that. But it seems a little too easy with just a skill. What do others say?

I think the aspiration is very doable in the scope of this challenge, if you think just the skill is too easy. Another way to make it more difficult is to require remedies that have an insect as an ingredient.

Nooooo, not 70 serums that require an insect ingredient! (Just kidding. My household has more than enough projects in mind...)

MarianT, to complete one of Outdoor Enthusiast's goals, we only need to remember to harvest one of each Granite Fall plant in the right seasons.
We can work out the harvesting seasons from Carl's gardening guide and planning ahead.

Question about curing 7 pets for the Veterinarian project:

Since our sims can't keep all 7 pets, may choose our own conditions for putting up a pet for adoption?
I don't think my sims and I could handle the deaths of 7 in-game pets.

Yes.

Edit: The rules don't say that you have to own a pet.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to handle the death of 7 pets either, let alone my sims.

Aha, the pets of other sims!  Thank you for the clarification and the hint.

Sorry, another question! For the top notch toddler project, clearly the hero whose project it is is the only one that can do any teaching of the toddlers. Are they also the only ones that can perform toddler care that doesn't influence toddler skills, such as bathing them?

I would say that the hero doing the project is the only one to take care of the toddlers. That would include feeding, changing clothes, etc. Keep in mind that you don't have to do all 7 at once.

Got it, that makes sense. Thanks!

I have a question. If a hero fathers a child outside the household, would we be allowed to move that child or children in to become subsequent heroes?

@reggikko: let's keep this to legitimate children for the sake of simplicity.

It’s no problem if the answer is no, but perhaps the wording could be a bit better? I have a hero born into the dynasty house who is “illegitimate,” while the child I’m referring to here has parents who are married, thus “legitimate,” but living in different houses.

It’s also worth noting that those words may be hurtful to those who weren’t born to a married couple. I don’t mean any disrespect, but words do matter. I’m sure you didn’t intend to be hurtful, and I hope you take my words as I intend them, which is a very gentle nudge away from language that is even unintentionally harmful. Thanks for the quick response. :)
