Dine out driving me nuts

Hi all,

I've just purchased Dine Out for ps4 (haven't got Get together). How on earth do my sims visit the restaurants?? I placed the restaurant it gives you at the start but when my sim visits, it says no one lives there? It's probably something really obvious but it's maddening! My sim owns his own restaurant but can't visit others! Aarrgghhhh. Please help!

Make sure you change the lot from residence to restaurant  or whatever it is in build/buy mode.
