I tend to be a controller also, LOL As I said earlier though, there are sometimes ways of manipulating the "idiot" into doing what you want them to do, lol. I've not done this or even touched my sims for a couple of days now. Gotta get back to it.

I found out I was too soft-hearted and couldn't let my new torch bearer or her triplet siblings suffer any longer, s I played them all for a bit.

But now with Sonshine reminding me just how crazy it was, I might have to go in and torture all of us again!

LOL Dee! I played for just a little bit last night and some today, but again not a lot yet. Enough though, that Kitty is lev 8 almost 9 in medical and Tyrone is lev 5 in music. I'll be saving as a different name just before his promotion and try out both branches to see which one he is better at. That is to say, will he be good at playing chess to up his logic after he maxes out guitar and I stash it? I don't know. I do know that according to the ISBI rules, I won't be able to select "performance" in the work tone for rock star. I'll take whichever one works out. Violet is 55 days old now and into her adult age and she was still only girl/boyfriend w/a guy named Walter Liberty (one of the offspring of the Liberty family which I plunked into that world. So, I took things into my own hands, moved him in w/her and married them and she is now expecting their first child. I didn't want her to die husbandless or childless or go into her elder "years" in that condition, lol. They've been girl/boyfriend ever since they were YA's! I think it's high time, lol. Hopefully either between Kitty or Princess Leah, or Violet, I can get a white hair and a blue hair. I've also been thinking that I *might * be able to keep Kitty working if her and Tyrone's schedules mesh.

Just a small update here. I played for a bit last night and Kitty topped her career! I'm thinking that if all goes well and Tyrone keeps skilling his logic (he *is doing it autonomously!) and touches up the guitar, he'll be able to top the symphonic branch of music. She gets off work at 2pm and he goes to work (or starts work) at 3pm. I can keep him at the house long enough to get her home and then have him go. She has that long medical quest line (I don't remember the name of it atm) right now and it will be a little while before she gets to the end of that. He is at lev 6 in his career now and lev 8 guitar and I don't remember what lev logic atm. I will start their family now. I took a peek at Violet's child who is a boy and he has dark brown hair highlighted in blue, LOL. He is still an infant though. Between Princess Leah and Violet still no white hair though. Maybe next gen? We'll see.

So far, Tyrone is at lev 7 Symphonic. So far, he's been pretty good at doing his guitar and playing chess for logic. I may not have to play the other one to experiment. Of course, there is nothing else for him to increase his fun level with right now except for making a snowman and there is only 1 day left of that. I have everything else stashed. Also, in an experimental game trying to work out a glitch, JC's ghost comes out of his grave and autonomously works out! I'm thinking "why didn't you do that when you were alive???" LOL I really could have used him to work out more then! Oh and Shadow is at lev 6 hunting now.

Here is just a miscellaneous pic. My current event is "homeless" I have to have them live at the park for 3 days. I was searching around for a good park for them that has everything they need and saw this. I'm not moving them to the park until spring which is 1 day away. Anybody is welcome to caption this. I just called it "Cabbie Pulled Over."

On another note, I'm having troubles w/inviting neighbors over. I can invite Princess Leah, but for all of the others, the only option is to "send love letter." This doesn't happen in a completely vanilla game in which I put them. I've  yet to find the culprit. You may know that her current quest depends on inviting co-workers over and encouraging them to vote.

Are you using the phone to invite them? have you tried inviting them over using NRaas Master Controller? That usually has everyone you invite coming over, unless they're at school or work.

Hi, I believe I finally have an update. Unfortunately, I ran into a LOT of problems w/the last save. It turns out that the inability to invite neighbors over was part of the town being corrupted somehow. It also got to the point where I couldn't even load the game and the library was totally messed up meaning that when I opened the launcher they would always show up as being installed, but they didn't show up in the files! I finally had to create a new game and move the save from the old game to the new. Here's hoping and *fingers crossed that everything goes good.

Anyway, on to the update. Tyrone finally topped his career as a Hit Movie Composer. I still have Kitty working and she has 2 daughters now. The rolls for the first one were "name  her a pretty princess," "skinny bean pole," and "red hair." I found out that we have only a limited space to type in names so since she couldn't be Princess Aurora, she just became Aurora. The second daughter is Amy and she inherited the white hair from grandpa! Aurora is now a teen and Amy is a toddler. I have Amy fully trained now so now I have her skilling on other things. Since she is a virtuoso, she is drawn to the xylophone a lot. She maxed that skill so I took that away from her and now she plays w/the doll house and play table. I've chosen Amy as the heiress b/c of the white hair. None of Princess Leah's or Violet's kids have white hair in spite of the fact that Violet has white hair. They're also on the celeb list and Kitty made the top of the list w/5 stars now. She got a $15k car and an $1,800 stereo for free as well as the Serenity Hot Tub and a Grand Piano! Most of the other stuff, I sell. Shadow caught a second Scarab Beetle which Kitty need for a work opportunity. Since I have to move the game over to a new launcher, I really can't count on getting the 3rd beetle so I'm trying to skill her up in science so she can clone one. She needs 3 of them. One of the paparazzi caught fire while standing outside and Tyrone autonomously put her out! Whew! That saved me from docking my pts for an accidental death! I haven't been doing the event rolls or the build rolls b/c I've been so pre-occupied w/trying to get the game to load and work. Now I'll go back to these. It also seems like the gold eyes are pretty dominant so far. I'm on the 3rd gen w/them.

Thanks Nindigo! For the hair color and if you remember, his and his brother's (Shawn) grandma and auntie both have blue hair and I believe their dad has brown hair. I think the game chose both of those colors and just made it brown w/blue highlights, lol. As long as I can get it, I'd like to choose either the blue or the white hair to carry on.

Hi, sorry for the long interval between updates. I've had a lot going on IRL lately. Anyway, let's get to it. First of all here is Aurora as a teen



Then as a YA



Since I couldn't remember what my last event was, I re-rolled and got "adopt 5 babies." Since there is already 4 sims in the household, I could only adopt 4 so I adopted 2 boys and 2 girls. The rolls for them are for the first boy, "Name him Batman, make him look like your fav Disney character (that will be interesting), and a "large hat." For the second boy, I got "Name him James Bond, Artistic Trait, and a large beard which will come when he reaches YA. Originally, I got "give him grey, white, or black skin, and 2 extra rolls. Since I didn't like the skintone idea, I rolled again and got artistic (nothing against RL "black" people, it's just that the game version is waaaaay too dark. It's more on the black scale instead of the brown scale.) For the girls, I got "name her for an object behind you" so since I already took "couch," I chose the picture window behind me and called her "Windy." I also got Red hair, and technophobe trait. For the last girl, I got Blonde hair, largest hat, and pretend you're a butterfly." The last one says "nothing" after it so I guess there is nothing else that I have to do w/her. I named her Penny. The only one w/a normal name, LOL. Pics will come when they reach toddler. Aurora graduated and everybody piled into the car and went to the courthouse for the graduation. One problem though is that I had already gotten the first boy so the on call babysitter came and and thus I got docked by 5 pts. The funny thing about the babysitter though, is that he did absolutely nothing except put the baby into the crib. : / All he did was stand next to the crib and complain about the crying baby b/c the baby was hungry. He did transfer him over to another crib, but that is it! IMHO, it was a total waste of $75! Anyway, here is a pic of him "on duty:"





I'm going to keep Aurora around for just a little while longer to help out w/the babies. Once they reach child age, she gets booted out. It will be interesting to see just how much help she will be since I can't control her.

But Amy is quite unique and pretty too, with her pink skin and white/blonde hair!

Or photos of the babies you had to adopt! I got that same event, but only had room for three, which my 1st gen torch bearer is having to raise.

That's when I stepped in and let others help her out---but after seeing how much fun you're having, I might need to pop in and play them 'by the rules' again.

I can't directly pick Aurora's mate b/c I can't control her. After I kick her out (after she does her part in taking care of the babies), I can use MC to pair her up. Interestingly, I was looking at the family tree and found out that both Princess Leah and Violet split up w/their husband's!!! No worries though b/c they can't have any more kids, lol. Even weirder yet though (and I'm wondering if there is a messed up setting), but Lorie, Violet's daughter is going steady w/her uncle!!!!! In other words, she is going steady w/Princess Leah's ex-husband!! This does not normally happen! So far, none of Violet's sons or even Princess Leah's sons are mated up either. I took a look at my relationship settings and "check all ancestors during closely related" was marked false. I've never seen that before. I will be going into MC and breaking up Lorie and her uncle! Interestingly, Princess Leah is going steady w/Adam Cartwright! Another weird thing happened in my own household. I was wondering why Tyrone would not sleep in the same bed as Kitty in spite of the fact that their relationship was high. I looked at the relationship panel and she was no longer his wife!!!! I'm going "what in the world is going on???" I will definitely keep an eye on things now! This is the first time this has ever happened in my active household!! I also broke down and got her a motive mobile. She has more than enough pts to get it and then some, lol. Amy stayed up all night and skipped school. She has a few days left though to make up the grade again, but I don't know if she'll be able to make the honor roll, but we'll see.

As for events go, I also took the liberty to remove all death related entries. I'm also going to do the same w/the male/female roles. I just can't purposely kill off my sims, especially not a child!

Dee, as far as the babies are concerned, I'll do my best to train them all, but I'm not going to sweat it if they don't all get trained, lol. As long as their fed and all that to keep the social worker away, that's good. Maybe you would just lose pts? I don't know.

Ooops! I just read the rules again and saw that the motive mobile is forbidden. I totally forgot about that!  : /  It has been stashed into her inventory and will never come out again.
