Error code 12

I got error code 12 when trying to save my immortal dynasty game. I tried the usual method of deleting the .bad files, but it's still giving me the error code.

Did you use "Save As"? Does it happen in your most recent backup? I'd also recommend Crinrict's troubleshooting for Error 12/13: https://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/03/error-save-errors-error-12-13-or-16.html

I "saved as" and I've tried everything that list suggested that was dynasty legal.

You might try going back a save or two? You may loose gameplay progress, but it might be better than nothing?
