Sims 4 stuck on save screen

I have a MacOS high sierra and just recently redownloaded Sims 4. It was working fine for a few days but started getting stuck on the save screen everytime I try to save. The game plays in the background as it 'saves' and the only way to get it to turn off is by shutting down my computer. I did some research and none of the tips worked. One site suggested I undownload MacKeeper, but I couldn't find it in my applications. I tried deleting old saves and that didn't do anything. I would really appreciate any help! Thanks!

When it basically freezes on saving it means it has crashed. I am not very familiar with Mac systems. If you'd like further help, please post about the issue over at AHQ (link below).
