I've been playing with 2.1 and haven't any problem until last night.  I had a sim marry another sim who lived in the Mare Nostrum Apartments.  When the other sim moved in, I discovered that they couldn't get into the apartment.  Is there something that needs to be corrected so any sim who lives in the 3 bedroom can use it?

Did the sim actually live in the apartment, or did they live in an NPC apartment?  Because if they lived in the NPC apartment and you moved in with them, your sim may very well be living in a home that they can't enter.

I've never heard of this happening, but that might be because I've never heard of anyone trying this.

I think what rhondaloo meant was that the playable sim married another [npc] sim who lived in the apartments, and then couldn't move in. This is most likely caused by some sort of bug that links the npc apartment doors to the npcs themselves.

I think you can fix that by moving out with the other sim, and then moving back to the apartments.

The sims who were married were both playable sims.  I moved them out and back in several times but they still couldn't go into the apartment.  I activated the various cheats and poked around the building in buy/build mode.  Nothing jumped at me screaming "fix me!"

I thought maybe I had missed a thread that talked about this issue. I really like the building, especially the apartment which I would love to use.

ETA:  Ah, after reading a thread about building apartments, I saw mentioned how to set doors.  I checked that and found the furnished apartment door was not set to "lock".  I changed the setting.  Now my family is in their apartment. I have no idea how I managed to change the setting before that.  Thanks for the help.

I have just downloaded this and look forward to trying it out, thanks!

I have a Sim I created that has a LTW to be Master Mixologist. If I put her in an empty house with story progression on, is it likely she'll become a mixologist at one of the bars/clubs? Or are those always made up of non playable Sims?

Player-created sims will never become NPC's (well, they can, but only with a cheat). This includes a mixologist. In each town is a pool of sims. These people are the mixologists, as well as the paparazzi, bouncers, etc. These people's jobs change, but they are the only ones who will. In rare cases, a Player Controlled Sim will become a paparazzi, but the only sim I know to do that is Lenny Shutter (Bridgeport).

In my Sunset Valley, Yumi Sekemoto became paparazzi. She also became unplayable when she moved out of home and into an appartment. I think she may have taken her grandchild with her, because he disappeared.

Seabody did mention that some sims may become papparazzis. The fact that the sim became unplayable when moving into an apartment may be related to the "npc door" thing, thus "making" a sim become an npc. The grandchild.... I guess it's more likely that he just disappeared than that he became a npc too.

I've been looking for something exactly like this. This is absolutely perfect, thanks!

Sunset Valley is my favorite neighborhood to play in, but it was so hard to use with Late Night features because any empty space was eaten up by Ambitions. Ahhh, I'm so happy I found this! I did a fresh install and cleaned up all of my downloads, CC and mods to only have what I actually used. My game loads quickly, looks terrific has all the features I want, and is in my favorite setting.

How do I get my Sims to to move into the apartent? When I move them there the go into the common area but can't get into the actual apartment. When I click on the door it says "Knock on door." I saw someone say something about changing the lock setting, if that's it, how do I do that?

The town is awesome! Thanks for all your hard work.

Which door are you clicking? The frontal door of the "playable-sim apartment" is on the second floor to the right, and it should work just normally, no need for knocking.

That is the door. I can see everything inside that apartment, but they can't get into it and it just says knock when I click on the door. Is it because I put them in there while playing another Sim and switched to them later instead of moving them in while controlling them?

Incredible work thou Naga. Night life to the SV style is hard work to accomplish and is really cool thou version. A cool feature could be a tourist resort with lots of appartment buildiings. Anyway nice job

Yes, that is definetly why this happened. Apartments are very sensitive to matters of that kind.

Thank you for the nice words, WolfJake.

First of all great work :)

But I have a little problem. When I start the game, my game says that all object can be placed and they will be replaced.

Am I doing something wrong :)?

Thanks for you time
