I want to share something with people and this is the best place i could think of.
I wanted to check what can be found in the dumpster, so i made a new save and a sim with a freegan and collector traits for best finds, disabled her motive decay, then made a generic lot with 4 dumpsters i kept constantly overflowing with cheats and landfill trait, put her on the lot and fenced her in (so townies wouldn't disturb her). then i made her do nothing but dive for deals for an entire sim week. I know it's not as informative as looking into game files but i think it sheds at least some light on what can be found in dumpster.
