3 Little Sims go to University

I use story mode in cas quite a lot obviously now that I'm trying to get specific traits it's all going to go wrong.

I'm really looking forward to this challenge and have been practicing for it already! However, I've run into a snag which I wonder if it might be a bug in the game, or am I doing something wrong.

While I'm controlling the one Sim for the day, the other two sometimes don't do anything at all. They will get food or lie down if they're in danger of starvation or exhaustion, and they leave for classes or work at the appropriate time. But otherwise they just stand stock still instead of eating or doing homework or watching TV or whatever. I mean for hours on end - for the entire day while I'm controlling the day's chosen Sim.

I did check, and Autonomy is set to Full in the gameplay settings (except for the Sim currently being controlled). Has anyone else had this problem?

Sims do that occasionally. You can try sending your controlled Sim to another lot and then returning home. Or I think the resetsim cheat is allowed.

There are also a few option to do something with... which will allow you to pull them to your sim, possibly getting them to do something more than just stand there.  I have this a lot in my ISBI type challenges where only one sim can be controlled.  They love to just stand outside.

It's really strange. I've tried resetSim, I've tried forming a group with the stalled Sim and having them watch TV or stargaze with the active Sim, calling them to a meal, etc. I even tried traveling with the Sim to another lot and then leaving them there. The only thing that's worked is going into the gameplay options and clicking Restore Defaults and Apply, and that only worked once. I can still play through the challenge, because the stuck Sim does consistently leave for class on time, and eats enough not to die. It's just weird.

I definitely want to try this challenge out! I have done a little creating in story mode, and a little university play, but not much. I have only had one sim successfully graduate in playing with the pack so it will definitely be new for me. I'm looking forward to starting. P.S. do you think a score sheet would be helpful for this one, and if so, has anyone made one? Not sure I could, but I did make one for myself for the handiness championship.

Day 1 of the challenge, and two sims nearly died before the first semester. This is going to be fun!!

Question- if a student fails out of uni, what do we do? Do we just not record a third semseter, or do we re-enroll?

If a student dies, then you get credit for that student's grades and the grades of the other two. As for failure, if you can re-enroll and have the student finish at the same time as the other two, then you can count the 3rd semester, too. My impression, though, is that there's a suspension period, in which case you would not count the 3rd semester.

This makes it sound like they could wait out the suspension, re-enroll, since it ends when "they all" get their 3rd semester grades.

Hello, just wanted to check, you mention changing the Sims aspiration to the academic aspiration, would this just be using the rewards / aspiration tab in the Sims' menu, or can we change this in cas?
