I wish I had been online when this discussion about playing different life states had been going on, sneaky people conversing while I was asleep, ah the joys of living in a different time zone. While I understand the decision has been made and I don't expect the Challenge Team to change anything, as a big Occult fan I feel the need to put my two cents worth in.
While I do agree that playing two elderly Vampires makes no sense and having one Elder with a normal lifespan and no life extensions allowed is a good idea and makes it more challenging, I do have one question.
Create two Elder Sims — one Human/Alien with no life extension/life state changing allowed. The other Sim may be any life state with no life extension restrictions.
Why does the first Sim have to be Human or Alien only? Last time I checked Spellcasters are not immortal the way Vampires are. I also see no reason not to play a Spellcaster for my first Sim, I mean as long as I don't extend their life, it should be fine right?
*Sigh* I guess I'm just a little disappointed, I was really looking forward to playing both a Spellcaster and a Vampire but I guess that's not possible anymore.
I guess I'll have be satisfied with just one occult life state of my choosing instead. Well I suppose it's good that the Challenge Team is allowing us to play with Occults at all, it's good that you guys are doing that and I appreciate it, I do really, I just wish it was a little more often, that's all. I was also looking forward to playing two Occults too.
I'll still play but now I have a hard decision to make, ugh.
