Eco-parts or the classic-parts upgrades ?
« on: June 09, 2020, 04:00:33 PM »
I notices the option when doing upgrades that you can use the eco parts or the common, plumbing, etc parts for the same result. Is there a real benefit to try to make all the eco parts for the upgrades ?

I don't think there's a difference, other than you can fabricate the eco parts for free right at level 1.  It's awfully time consuming though!

There most certainly is a big difference. The eco-upgrades are the only ones accepted when certain NAPs are enacted. An inspector will come by and raise your bills as punishment if you haven't done the eco-upgrades!

I thought that referred to the type of upgrade (fuel cells, water recycler etc.) rather than the parts used for the upgrade?
[they/them pronouns please]

Hmm, you may be right. But I was under the impression that the upgrades weren't particularly eco-friendly if not done with eco-upgrade parts. Also, what would the point of having two kinds of upgrade parts be if it didn't matter which ones were used?
