Late night Patch 6.1 Removing Select Lifetime Wish

I just got Late Night yesterday. installed it, updated it, and I was all set to go, but when I got to the personality screen of CAS, I found that the "more" option for selecting a lifetime wish wasn't there. Is this just part of the patch, or is there another patch that i do not know about?

Did you try running the game before patching it? What version were your base game and the latest EP/SP before you installed Late Night?

I did not try to run the game before I updated it. this is because when I pulled up the Sims 3 Launcher it told me that I should update my game. I was at the latest Ambitions patch before I installed LN.

I presume you had the Select Lifetime Wish option available to you before you installed Late Night. What you can do is uninstall LN and run Ambitions to see if the option is there.

If it is, you may install LN again, and run the game without updating, to see if the option is still there. If it is, you may patch and see if this time it didn't get removed. If it did, the problem is in the patch and you should probably just play without patching it. If it didn't, the reinstallation fixed it.

If it is not, stuff will get more complex. You'll have to check your skuversion.txt files, located by default at C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\(each of the TS3 EP/SP folders have their own skuversion.txt file)\Game\Bin. This will let you know what version each of your games is. For further help in this area, post a reply including which version each game you have installed is at.

I don't mean to complicate things further, but are you saying that you don't have the button next to the Lifetime Wish choices that lets you choose from all Lifetime Wishes?  It's a button to the right of the last wish choice that the game generates.  Did you have that button/option before installing Late Night?

@Pam,

Yes, I did have the option before I updated to LN. I think that this is fully update, I looked on the forum and saw that LN 6.1 was the newest patch. Am I correct?

According to my Launcher I am all up to date but I still have the Lifetime Wish Selector, I am pretty sure anyway. I would have noticed fi I didn't.

I know that my lifetime wish selector is stll there having changed my lifetime wish from super popular to lifestyle of the rich and famous after getting Late Night for christmas. I find it odd that you don't have it.

Just today, I was making some new Sims to populate a new town I've been building and the "customize Lifetime Wish" does not seem to always appear. 

I've got the most recent patch.  For me, it's an intermittent problem, I guess.

Hmmm... I might check to see if it was not just on one sim.
