No moving allowed.
Well, that's dealbreaker for me.

Ok, ok. I'm going to move in real life during this time, and I will probably not have time for this challenge because of that.

So everyone else, have fun with it!

Hi everyone! Just starting my test file on this. Is anyone having trouble with your sim NOT being able to rummage in public trash cans after the patch? I had my sim go to Oasis Springs and try to rummage in the trash can, it was greyed out. I waited 24 hours and went back, same thing. Her garbage cans in Newcrest are all like that, too.  Any one else having this issue? Thanks :)

Hello, I'm new to Sims 4 and looking forward to playing in my first challenge!

I was just wondering on the rules about placing lots, can I add additional community or residential lots before starting the challenge?

Hi rhi72. Welcome to the forum. :) You cannot add residential lots unless a specific challenge rule set allows that. You can add missing community lots at the begining of your scoring file if you choose. Here's the rule from the Tournament Overview...

Creating Your Scoring Game File
Always create Sims in CAS (not CAS Storymode) from scratch, no gallery downloaded Sims or library Sims. All challenges begin in a fresh, completely unaltered town of your choosing. Missing community EA lots such as the spa, must be placed at the beginning of your file. You are free to travel and/or move to any neighborhood or town. Options - all default settings: Autonomy > Full; Auto Age (Played Sims) > Yes; Auto Age (Unplayed Sims) > Yes; Sim Lifespan > Normal.

Here's the General Rules that cover the entire 2020 season...

Earlier in the discussion you mention banning clubs but in the rules it only specifies (no clubs) regarding making your own woodwork. Are we allowed clubs if they don't make items to sell and are just used for other purposes?

No. Clubs are banned.

thanks for confirming Metro.

Another question that I couldn't work out from the examples in the rules, sorry. Is "Self Cleaning" on a bathtub unique to "Self-Cleaning" on a sink? I understand that "Add Self-Cleaning" would be different but if there are no changes in words, only punctuation, is that the same or different?

Sheesh. Seriously? One actually has a hyphen and the other doesn't? C'mon, EA...let's get some consistency. Lol. Well, if that's the case, let's go with words, not punctuation. Your example would be exactly the same upgrade. And you're also correct in that "Add Self-Cleaning" would also be different.

I'm a bit scared to look too deeply in case more crimes against writing are uncovered.

Yikes! I'm really glad for the clarification on clubs. I too was interpreting it as clubs being okay, just not allowing club members to craft items to sell. It simplifies things a bit, which is always a good thing for me.

I went ahead and listed the club ban as its own rule to avoid confusion for everyone.

for my benefit, could you do the clubs aren't allowed rule in bight pink, extra large text, with marquee and perhaps flashing text, please @Metropolis Man ? Otherwise I'm likely to miss it. PS I am just kidding, just laughing at myself. :P

You're just kidding? But, it's a great idea, Dek. ;)

Clubs are banned.

Sorry Metro and all, I wasn't trying to be annoying with my request for clarification re. clubs. I just like things to be clear in the rules section rather than just comments. As there have been a few challenges where people have lost their ranking due to misunderstood rules it made sense to aim for as much clarity as possible.

Oh, absolutely, Vesper. I understand. Sarcasm does not come across well in print and I was just being silly with Dek when I made that big red "Clubs are banned" rule.
